The Blue Moose Cafe

A wonderful little café with outstanding breakfasts and delicious sandwiches for lunch. The cupcakes have a cult following. The owner is very nice. The whole vibe is welcoming and warm. A real gem.

The Blue Moose Café is a very cozy breakfast and lunch eatery in Goffstown Village next to Town Hall. This storefront location on Main Street has been the former home to several small eateries. The dining room is very small with seating for up to 16 people and a takeout counter, walls painted blue.
As for the food, breakfast (served all day) offerings include breakfast sandwiches & wraps, egg dishes, pancakes, corned beef hash, muffins, coffee, and juice. The lunch offerings include deli sandwiches, soup, chili, salads, bagged chips, baked goods, gourmet cupcakes, and cold bottled drinks. Daily specials are posted on the big glass mirror wall. The prices seem fair, breakfast $ 3.25-$ 8.25, sandwiches $ 6.50-$ 8.00, big frosted gourmet cupcakes $ 4.50 each, 6 for $ 25, 12 for $ 45.
I stopped in here for mid afternoon lunch takeout recently. I got the Sun dried Tomato Turkey Sandwich ($ 7.25), a cup of Chili (add $ 2), and a Red Velvet Cupcake ($ 4.50).
The Sun dried Tomato Turkey Sandwich had deli Turkey slices, provolone cheese, mixed greens, purple onion, sundried tomato spread between toasted sour dough bread. A small cup of homemade potato salad came with the sandwich. The chili was hearty and thick with a mix of beef, tomatoes, onions, peppers, beans, and spices. The Red Velvet Cupcake was big, which had a soft moist texture, topped with a sweet cream cheese frosting.
Overall, the food I had tasted pretty good. I will have to stop in again for breakfast.
