The people who work here always have a ‘tude. It’s just the Golden location. We called in an order for lunch. First they complain about having to make several sandwiches. Then they forgot one(we realized it when we opened the bag at the office). When I went back to get it, they remade it but didn’t really seem to care that they forgot in the first place. Usually a place will give you some freebies or something when they mess up like that. I’m not coming back to this location which is a shame because the sandwiches are pretty good and there aren’t that many good options in Golden.

I don’t know what the deal is with the negative reviews. The staff at the Golden location is very friendly and always willing to help. Plus, the sandwiches can go toe to toe with any other sandwich in town.

Had the gluten free chicken salad sandwich with everything on it. The gluten free bread sandwiches are fan-tastic! Need more locations in Denver.

I can honestly say this place is freaking awesome! I haven’t been to Snarfs in a year or so due to being unimpressed by other stores. I can here for lunch today and couldn’t be happier. The place was packed but the guys were bustin’ out tasty subs fast so the wait wasn’t bad! The check out guy(wearing a purple swag surfin shirt) was awesome! All the employees were super friendly and nice! My sandwich was delectable. I love sandwiches and couldn’t think of a better place to eat a sandwich after. Snarfs today. It was as perfect as a sandwich could get! You guys rock!

Best sammy in Golden. Veggie has a ton of avocado! Cubano is the bomb too. Be sure to try their hot peppers!

Love Snarfs subs!!! I’ve been going there non stop. I get the turkey with Swiss on white bread with almost all the toppings. It’s one of my favorite sub places ever. Wayy better than D’deli!

Let me preface this by saying that I have been to numerous Snarf’s locations in Denver, and the experience at this location in Golden was underwhelming, to say the least. We arrived around 6 on a Friday evening and two women were working. The lady who assisted us was half asleep. She walked up to the register, took our order, and then we had to repeat a few times because she was yawning. She was out of it, and kept talking to herself to pull it together. She wasn’t outright rude to us, but it was just odd. The quality of the sandwiches was great. My hubs got the Italian and I landed on the tuna. Super impressed with both. We also got potato salad. It was okay – I’d recommend getting the Mac salad instead. Overall, the food saved this review. The service was lacking. But, it’s a quick stop on the main stretch in Golden when other places are hopping.

Well I was recommended to come here by one of my 3rd grade students promising it was the best ever. I am trying it for the first time and there are several reasons I most likely won’t come back and why I gave it 2 stars. First the compliments: Heart of Main Street(Washington Ave) in downtown Golden. A retro-y place that is unique with its surfy-mountain punk look. The gluten free bread actuslly isn’t bad but rather tasty. And thats about it for me. For the not so great things; 1.) Two workers were working and there were about three people who ordered things and the workers seemed overwhelmed. The facility was dirty tables had crumbs, lettuce and yucky stuff all over it while the floor seemed as though it had not been swept all day long or maybe even two days. 2.) They have $ 3.50 kids meal but the kids meals are peanut butter and jelly, peanut butter banana and honey, and hot dog. I am sure those really only cost $ 1.50. Also they add $ 2.00-$ 3.00 to any sandwich to make it gluten free, what? That makes one sandwich $ 10 – 11. 3.) I had the Cubano and the flavor was good at first, but the pork was dry and after a while I had a really hard time swallowing the sandwich. The pickles saved the day. Just not a pleasant sandwich. I did only have one sandwich and I haven’t had any other so I can’t be too harsh or let this one sandwich dock too many points. I am not docking the place for time in preparation like some people reviewing the place only because I feel you have to be realistic about authentically prepared and toasted food. Say it takes 3 minutes to make a sandwich and if you are toasting it tack on another 3 – 4 min. If you have an order before you tack on their time and the orders in your group. You could very well be waiting 15min realistically. I wouldn’t recommend the place since there are so many better places to eat in Golden. Try Bob’s Atomic Burger just of Ford Street.

Never again! I ordered a French dip and they gave me raw meat! The bread was bloody!!! Disgusting — it should be the sandwich makers responsibility for quality control… and it’s completely overpriced! Over $ 9 for a sub-par sandwich.

Better than ddeli for sure. I love the turkey and swiss sandwich which is made hot. The only problem we ever had was that the wrong cheese was put on one of the sandwiches. I learned about this place from some other locals. Don’t tell anyone about it. Har har.

Two words come to mind when I think about Snarf’s — FRESH&DELICIOUS! Awesome location right in downtown Golden. Perfect for grabbing something to go and having your own picnic at clear creek park down the street. Please keep in mind this location typically has local college kids working at it so expect a laid back Colorado vibe. I personally think it fits the atmosphere well and enjoy the community feel. If you’re craving a really good sandwich, well crave no more! Just head to the nearest Snarf’s and up your sandwich game. They seriously know how to build a good sandwich because they have all ton of wonderful tasting ingredients. Get creative and orchestrate your next sandwich from your own imagination. Or try one of their awesome sandwich combos already crafted up and ready to order. Either way your taste buds will be rejoicing at every bite. Their bread is so tasty and makes for the perfect foundation to a great sandwich. I personally love their chicken and tuna salad. You can really taste the freshness of what you are eating. The sandwiches here are a tad pricier than some other more chain sub/sandwich shops in the area but I think the taste is way better. This sandwich is well worth the couple extra bucks. Perfect for after a hike on a summer day or something a little more hearty to warm up to on a chilly afternoon. There’s really an occasion I can’t think of that doesn’t pair right with a sandwich from Snarf’s!

The sandwiches were great, but 2 of 3 of them were made wrong. Mine was the wrong bread, my son’s was entirely the wrong sandwich. After waiting 15 minutes for our food, we didn’t have time to have them re-made correctly.

Vegetarian sub is awesome. 7″ sub is $ 9, comes with avocado, provolone, sprouts, tomatoes, mayo. It’s super tasty, but price is on the high side. Borderline too high… But it’s good so they can get away with it. It’s so good that I googled their other locations to find one that is closer to my house. Luckily I found one.

Snarf’s is very cute although the sandwiches were underwhelming. I was expecting more specialty sandwiches. My sandwich was alright.

Ordered a Snarf Turkey and Swiss on white with sprouts. Excellent! All of the flavors just went together on this sandwich. The reason that Snarfs didn’t get 5 stars is because it took almost 20 mins to get my sandwich! This is a walk up sandwich stand, should not have taken that long. Other than that, it was great.

I have been to this Snarfs location in Golden 3 or 4 times since it opened. It seemed like a good idea, another sandwich stop for when D Deli is packed and I’m in a hurry. The location is great, right in Golden and the inside is a typical sandwich stop size of a place, enough places to sit and eat. As far as the sandwiches themselves, they are pretty tasty. I’ve had the French Dip and also the Italian. Both tasted good and didn’t take forever to make. The prices were a little more than I expected, but overall not too much. What has really taken me by surprise and really ruined this place for me is the service. I get it, sometimes people are having a bad day, it shows at work, it can happens to the best of us. However, once is one thing. Every time I have came into Snarfs, all the staff, including the people at the register and making the sandwiches are absolutely miserable. Just overall unhappy people. They don’t make eye contact, they mumble, and just look like they don’t want to be there. It makes me feel awkward being in the building, like I have done something to these miserable people to cause them distress. I do like the sandwiches at Snarfs, so I think I’ll try to go to another location and see if the staff there is a little more welcoming.

I don’t understand the bad reviews, we’ve always been pleased here! The service is fast and friendly, there is a variety on the sandwich menu, and everything always tastes fresh. We love the toasted bread! It’s in a great location in Golden as well. We recommend this place when friends and family visit and haven’t had any complaints yet. I can’t steer far from my favorite, the Vegetarian. Their hot peppers and portabello mushrooms are a good addition. My boyfriend often gets the Italian or Roast Beef & Provolone. Five stars for Snarf’s in Golden from us!

Right now I wish I could give a 1.5 star rating. For some reason I feel like this place doesn’t really deserve 2 stars. As with any new food place that comes in to downtown Golden I optimistically and patiently hoped for the best with Snarfs. After going to this place for 2 lunches and a breakfast all I can say is that I’m woefully disappointed. Their sandwiches are sadly simple and plain, especially for the price. I tried one of their prime rib sandwiches the other day and was not only shocked by the price(but ok, it’s prime rib right?) and then knocked sideways by how plain and boring the sandwich was. I should have gotten the roast beef, it would have been the same thing. Then, the breakfast sandwich I’ve had there was pretty simple, nothing complicated, but they forgot the cheese. When a sandwich only has 3 things on it and one of those is forgotten we’re in trouble! Then there are the waits. I’ve waited in line at Snarfs waaaaaaaaay more than I’ve waited in line at any other sand wich shop. For those of you from area, you may be tilting your head sideways at this point saying«Whaaaaaa??? But D’deli’s lines are waaay longer!» Oh yes, I’m aware of the long lines at other delis, but rest assured good sandwich consumers, the other places are much more efficient at pushing large amounts of people through a line. Now let me come back to the price of these sandwiches here. I really have to wonder who Snarfs think they are charging what they charge for what you get. I mean, really?! I’m going to pay $ 8 – 9 for a sandwich that I could easily make at home as long as I have an oven? Come on guys. Your competition is offering a far superior product for less! I really have to wonder how this place is going to make it in Golden. There are plenty of other sandwich options in this tiny town and over-priced mediocre products with slow, forgetful service just aren’t going to sell! I was cheering for you Snarfs, but now I’m just disappointed in you. Disappointed and sad.

Now that I have sampled Snarf’s Golden multiple times, I have found that the service and the quality of food there is extremely inconsistent. While I have had numerous great experiences there during a busy lunch rush, I have had horrible experiences during the late snack to dinner hours. The people there during the lunch times seem to be watched over by management and all of the food I have had there for lunch is very good as indicated by my previous two reviews. Overall, the food is good and I’m still a customer there for lunch, but I would vehemently object to going there ever again for dinner. When I have gone there for dinner, the same guy is always there alone and he is always short with me and doesn’t seem to understand what is going on. I have found, during my many lunchtime visits, very specific sandwich toppings that I like and my order reflects that. Unfortunately both of the times I have been there for dinner, my sandwiches have not reflected my special order and are barely up to the standard of my previous orders. The clerk at the counter was also smoking before and after making our sandwiches out on the patio while we were eating. Definitely not something I want to see. Avoid for Breakfast! The sandwiches taste bland and when I got my first one, they forgot the cheese. Completely disappointed. Overall, Crappy Breakfasts(1-star) OK for lunch!(3-star lunch place) Never go there for dinner(2-star dinner place)
