This subway has pretty friendly staff. I don’t normally eat here because the digger den is right next door and serves hot food. But sometimes it’s nice right after a work out or if you want a decently healthy meal on campus after a work out. You can’t beat this subways’s location for Mines students. I like the Philly cheesesteak here. They don’t skimp on the meat.

I dunno. I kind of have to give this subway 4 stars. I want to average out the 3 star review to a 3.5. It is a standard Subway, but I think any food place in a school with hungry nerdy people deserves a little more credit! Lunch hour rush during the school year is enough to drive any worker crazy, don’t you agree? But they handle it well, especially if it’s just student workers. Geeze, cut them some slack! Also, every time I’ve gone and ordered guac, I never regret it. They load it up and then some! You know that feeling(ahem, chipotle, qudoba…) when you walk away wondering, why did I order that for a buck more(sometimes they don’t even charge you here) for a penny-sized blip of guac. Today I had some extra Fritos scoops with me and I readily scooped up all the fallen toppings. Subway! Eat Fresh!(sorry, I just had to type/sing that).

Overall, this is a standard Subway like one that you would find in a mall food court. It has all standard Subway fare but does not have many of the specials, discounts and deals that normal standalone subways have. The only nice thing about this Subway is the fact that it is conveniently located on the School of Mines campus and it will stay open during sporting events and when the fitness gym is open. In regards to their food, it is just as good as an average Subway. However, they always run out of types bread and they always have a tendency of skimping on the toppings. They will usually add as much as you want as long as you watch them closely, otherwise you will have a sandwich lacking most of your desired toppings. The other half of the ‘Ore Cart’ installation has pretty good smoothies geared towards the athletic among us. These smoothies are really tasty, although it is a little expensive.
