The food here was really good. I ordered the fajita quesadilla and it was HUGE! The fajita steak was flavored and cooked really well, not at all grisly. The queso dip was awesome. My only real gripe was that the salsa was too pureed, tasted like it came from a can. The other gripe is that the rest of my family felt really bad over the next couple of days, like a mild case of food poisoning. I’m not saying it was this place that caused it, but the timing of all of them not feeling well coincided with our visit.

Great food, huge portions and tasty margaritas! Went in a Friday night and stayed for the music and dancing in the bar. Had a great time!!!

I had to pick a star. I chose one. Only thing good about this place was the Sangria!

I ordered take out last night and from what I could tell, the ambience and service were pretty good. The portion sizes were a great value for the money, but the food quality and taste were just so-so. I ordered the Fajita salad and my son had the carne asada. The fajita salad was«ginormous» with tons of shrimp and chicken, avocados and diced tomatoes. It would have been nice with something other than iceberg lettuce, but otherwise it was fine. However, the carne asada wasn’t very good — seasoning was somewhat bland and the meat wasn’t very flavorful. They could use a better marinade for the meat. I’ve had better carne asada at other restaurants. I would try this place again, and but maybe select other dishes instead.

I could live here. I just want to try everything on their menu. Never had a bad experience at Toreros. Always quick service drinks never run out nor chips/salsa. I’ve been to the majority of Mexican restaurants within a 30 mile radius and this one is still in my top 3. Good atmosphere and a very funny wait staff. Great place to just grab drinks or take the whole family.

This place has huge portions at a great price. The tilapia might have been the best I’ve ever had. Great décor, atmosphere, can’t wait to come back.

We have been eating at Torero’s for years. The flavor and quality of the food is better than any of the other«sit down» Mexican restaurants in Goldsboro. Of course, most of the dishes are«Americanized» which is par of the course in the area, but you can get authentic dishes if you know what to order… if you don’t know what to order, you should probably just stick with standard burritos and tacos. We’ve only had quality issues to the point we’ve sent dishes back maybe once or twice over the course of many visits and several years. I do wish they would improve the quality of their salsa, which has taken a turn for the worse in the past few years. The service is slow at times, but we haven’t had any terrible experiences in that regard. The prices are fair for the area but the portions are huge so since you can plan on taking a meal home that will heat up fairly well, that really makes up for it. In short — good flavor, huge portions, decent service, fairly priced and most importantly, the best option for Mexican in Goldsboro.

They have great food & drinks. The place is nice and the staff is really nice. You will have enough food for later to take with you.

I’ve been here at least three times now, and every time I hope it will be better, but alas, no change. It’s still mediocre Mexican food… I don’t see how they can’t add a little more flavor or freshness to their dishes. I’ve tried different dishes every time and all of it has either been lackluster, or soggy when it should be fresh and crisp(such as a mexican pizza). Unfortunately, there aren’t many more options for Mexican food in Goldsboro. On the plus side, their drinks are pretty good.

I’ve gave this place 2 chances and they have failed miserably both times. The food taste like something out the frozen section from the super market at best. The service was non existent and the food took over an hour to get out and was cold. The salsa chips were stale and nasty. To top it all off the bathroom was very unclean and smelled awful. Not worth the money or time. I do not plan on ever eating there again

We eat here regularly, and I’ve never had a bad experience. The food is always hot and delicious. If you go for cheap $ 1 tacos, there is not much to them, but then again they are $ 1. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant by far. I recommend the chile relleno and the mole!

Love this place. It’s my favorite restaurant in Goldsboro. I’m quite a picky eater but I think this place is great. I’ve been here probably a dozen times and service has always been top notch. I usually get their shrimp fajitas and a sangria. Both are great. It’s also fun at night with music and drinks.

I gave this restaurant 3 stars because of the wait time to receive my food and the fact that I couldn’t sit outside due to there not being«enough» servers. The food, however, was really good and plentiful. I ordered a chicken fajita salad and it was enough to feed 2 adults or 1 adult and 2 kids. It was filled with chicken, bell peppers, onions, rice, beans, guacamole and sour cream. There was so much food that I ate it for lunch and dinner the next day. I may visit this location again, but telling me that I can’t sit outside due to the lack of wait staff, that’s not cool.

WOW!!! Truly authentic Mexican. We are vising Goldsboro and let me tell you this restaurant was fantastic. The staff was very polite and on point. The burritos were the biggest we have ever seen and they were delicious. I had the pork burrito and my husband had the chicken burrito with verde sauce, we loved it. It was enough for 4 people and it was only $ 8.95 each. Can’t wait to go back and try some other dishes. Great Food and Enormous portions, better go hungry.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in North Carolina. The area I grew up in has its own triangle area. Las Cruces, El Paso, and Juarez. I’ve been going to this place for 7 years. My usual dish is 3 cheese enchiladas with green sauce. Sometimes I’ll get the tacos. The food always satisfies my taste buds. The atmosphere reminds me of home and the service is one of a kind. I highly recommend this place, especially for those who like the Mexican food in the southwestern states.

Changing from 4 stars to 5. I’ve come several additional times and keep wanting to return for more. Such a great place for a drink and some Mexican food and it is the best customer service I’ve experienced at any restaurant in Goldsboro.

Great food and fast service. I have eaten many lunches here and never had an issue getting in and out. They are great serving groups as well. I love the salsa and chips at this place and the chicken taquitos are amazing! Great place to get really good Mexican cuisine.
