I came in yesterday after I had be dying my own hair purple for a few months, I tried to remove it myself but the«Color Oops» that I used turned my head a gross grey/green color that looked horrible! Devyn spent the next three hours trying to fix it! She was AMAZING! She made sure I was okay with everything she was doing and she took the time to do it right! I had used her only once before about 6 months ago for a simple hair cut and highlighting, yet she remembered my natural hair color and matched it back almost perfectly! She saved my life and my hair looks amazing! Would HIGHLY recommend!

Their customer service needs improvement. It’s hard to find a place that can accommodate to your schedule when you work. I think if you want to keep clients you need to care about them, their hair type, hair history etc. The two times I was able to find a good day for me to go in, I felt like I was just another person in their line of customers. Don’t we all dream of having THE hairstylist who knows your hair better than yourself? A girl can dream. Unfortunately, I found no good connection here. My last attempt to make an appointment that worked with my schedule failed. I was a few minutes late and they canceled the whole thing. It was upsetting on top of the stressful day I was already having, but just a reminder that some of these stylists might not be okay with you running late at all. Plan ahead and arrive before your appointment. My adventure to find a salon for my curly hair will continue elsewhere.

No stars. This salon is the worst. I asked them to use ola plex they fried my hair. I don’t reccomend going here. Adrienne Messed up my hair. April messed it up. The owner is completely unprofessional and unfair. It’s quite unjust the way they treat their customers. If you want your hair done right go to Walter Claudio it’s half the price and they use better products.

I have been going here for a few years and the salon is a comfortable and neighborhood friendly atmosphere. I’ve had two different stylists on my hair and have not had a bad experience with either of them. If you are looking for a designer high end expensive salon with those same results this is not your place. For the rates this salon charges which are significantly less I’ve always walked out of there a satisfied costumer(and I used to go to those high end salons).

I had Adrianna for a stylist and she completely messed up my hair. I went in to make my hair lighter and she ended up making it uneven, striped, used dye that fried my thin hair, put it under a dryer, and left it on wayy too long. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a salon and a very expensive fix when I went to a place where they rectified the mess that was my hair as best they could. Paid $ 200 for a completely shitty dye job that didn’t get better even when I asked her to fix it. Will never consider going back here.

Just had Cindy do my hair again yesterday. Once again I am so happy with the way it turned out. Which is why have been going back to Cindy for 23 years now! It is always a relaxing experience.

Cindy and the ladies always do a great job cutting my hair. Appts are easy to make and prices are reasonable. Cindy, Amanda, and Sarah all get great ratings from me.

I have been going to Cutting Edge for many years, and love it. They offer superior massage, waxing, haircuts, hair color and recently added full nail services. I enjoy their friendly atmosphere, free wi fi and great customer service. Their staff is consistently good and nice, so if I can’t get an appointment with my usual stylist or aesthetician, I can be scheduled with anyone there and rest assured I’ll get the best treatment ever. Also, when I was married recently, I got everything from spray tanning to nails to makeup and hair through Cutting Edge. Love this salon!

We were driving from out of town to attend a wedding but didn’t want our hair ruin by the long drive. We were originally going to stop in Santa Barbara, where the wedding was being held, but after looking at the outrageous prices we decided to stop here instead. Best decision ever! They were so much more affordable than the salons we called in Santa Barbara, and they are less than 10 minutes away from Santa Barbara! The salon was clean and the staff was so friendly. Our stylists knew we were from out of town, and probably wouldn’t be in the area again, and they were still so pleasant and nice. They washed, blow dried, and curled our hair, and it looked great! Even after a long night of dancing! We couldn’t have asked for better. The locals are lucky to have such a modern, friendly, and affordable salon in their community!

I starting coming to Cutting Edge on the recommendation of a client. I’ve been about 4 times now, always see Steffani and always have a good experience. Staff is always friendly and accommodating, the whole salon is meticulously clean, and my haircuts and color are always done well. Prices are reasonable given the SB area. Appointments are easy to come by. Location convenient. I have no reason to go elsewhere and if you’re looking for a new place to «get your hair did» I’d strongly recommend them, and Steffani in particular. She gives a great consultation to really understand what you want and help you understand what your hair is capable of, and more than willing to go as tame or trendy as you’d like.

I really like this place. The worst part of moving is finding your new go-to places, and finding a hair stylist is the worst. I went to the Ulta in Goleta twice and was disappointed both times. Finally, after going to Trader Joe’s and seeing how busy the Cutting Edge Hair Salon was I decided to give it a try. I made a random appointment and Stefani was my stylist. Stefani did an awesome job and was very nice and personable. My hair is thick and I just wanted a simple cut with layers. She did the wash, haircut, blow dry and straightening and it came to $ 47. I think this is a really reasonable price(Ulta’s price is comparable and both times the stylist told me they«preferred cutting dry» so didn’t wash my hair, which to me is part of the experience). The salon itself is clean with high ceilings and modern equipment. I had a great experience and I will definitely be back.

This is my first visit to this salon ever, and was great! I was able to secure an appointment on the same day that I called. When I arrived for my appointment, I was taken right away and did not have to wait at all. The best part? My Stylist, Stephanie provided me with excellent customer service and most of all, gave me the exact haircut I wanted. Not only will I be going back to the salon, I will definitely be going back to Stephanie for all future hair services!

Cling! Cling! That’s the sound you’ll hear all night if Nicole does your formal ‘do, of pins hitting the floor as your hairdo slowly falls. Guys, I do not usually write bad reviews like this — I like to give people the benefit of the doubt — but this situation was over-the-top EMBARRASSING for me, so I have to do it. Why embarrassing? Because I was finding pins from my hair in random places at a black tie party, all night long. Awkward! Seriously, I later discovered she had only used 5 real bobby pins for an entire updo, and the rest were those V-shaped hair pins. That explained a lot. I learned a valuable lesson from the experience, but really at $ 55 plus tip for a short appointment, they are charging Big Girl Salon prices and I shouldn’t have to micromanage what the stylist is up to back there. :)

This is a brief review about their waxing service. I’ve never had my hair cut here before. The salon is located in a plaza I frequently visit(TJ’s is right next door after all) so one day I decided to pop in and see if they do eyebrow waxing. First, their price for waxing is a lot more than the usual nail salons, which is around the $ 10 – 12 range. It’s $ 19 here and with tip, you’re looking at spending over $ 20. Despite the higher price tag, I do like this place! They use stripless hard wax. The wax is «grippier» on the hairs and as it hardens on your face, the esthetician can peel it right off. I find the hard wax to be gentler on the skin and it doesn’t hurt as much. This is probably good for those who have lower tolerance for pain. I’ve been here twice and both times the services are excellent. The girls that did my brows always took their time and made sure to get all the tiny stray hairs. My brows always come out nicely shaped and very clean. Because they do a good job, I can go a bit longer before my next waxing appointment. The best part is there’s no redness because the wax is gentler and the estheticians always made sure to sooth my skin after the waxing. Overall, their waxing services are great if you’re willing to spend a little bit more. I would definitely come back again.

This salon just improves with time. It is a wonderful place in Goleta. My hairdresser was not only professional but very talented and she treated me with respect. She listened to everything I had to say about my hair. I love how clean and neat and tidy the salon itself is. Often times, salons are not really all that ‘clean’. This place sparkles!!! Not only are the cosmotologists friendly but they are worth every penny. I will never go anywhere else. I also appreciate all of the products they offer. They have everything you could want and you can get it right there. They offer many different sizes if you don’t want to buy the largest bottle of whatever it is you are looking at. Don’t hesitate to go, it’s wonderful!!!

I stopped in to get a simple trim(no layers, just long and straight across) and deep conditioning treatment. All of that was fine. Afterwards i had her blow my hair out straight… it didn’t even last 2 hours before curling and I had crazy fly-aways. I was ok with this. What really bothered my was my stylist, Norma. She didn’t even greet me. I got the silent treatment and I’m not sure why. Also she told me that the deep conditioning was $ 15 and then it was actually $ 20. I really don’t mind the $ 5 but I do mind that she didn’t apologize or anything. Overall it was $ 72. I could’ve gotten the same exact thing for $ 20 at Great Clips with much better service.

I have to admit that JoAnn is the only one I have gone to for my hair, but why try someone else when you love the one you’re with? She is clearly experienced, quick and great at what she does. If you don’t know who to ask for when you call trust me, ask for JoAnn. I’ve sent MANY people her way and they’ve all become repeat customers. Auriel is my pick for waxing(I’ve tried all of the aestheticians and they’re all good) but Auriel is the most consistent in my experience and she is extremely meticulous making sure she gets EVERY hair.

After finally deciding to cut my mermaid long hair, it took me quite a while to actually decide where I was getting my hair cut and with whom(trust me I spent hours deciding, calling people, checking Unilocal, and asking alumni friends)? I made a couple appointments to different places to see if certain people were available and still around. Finally after making the big decision on choosing Cutting Edge Salon, as recommended by my sister, I called to make my appointment but I didn’t know who to ask for?! The receptionist was super nice giving me suggestions on who I should make my appointment with, which ended up being Norma(not quite sure on her name, started with N). I was donating my hair to locks of love and she helped me through a tough and rewarding decision. I got an adorable short cut that I absolutely love and have gotten so many compliments and it’s been less than 6 hours ago that I got it done. She listened to all my needs and wants and was able to pull off a fabulous do! Definitely recommend this salon for an edgy but classic look.
