I have eaten here many times over the years, and it’s always been good, but not anything I would go out of my way to eat. They recently redesigned the restaurant, revamped the menu, and the food is really really tasty! The burgers(and buns) are amazing. I also love the Hawaiian plates. Lots of new places have opened nearby, so I suspect they had to step up their game. And they succeeded!

I’ve only had burgers here, which I must say are some of the best I’ve had. Staff is always friendly when you order. My only complaint is I wish fries came with the burger, instead you get charged separately for an order of fries.

eating here over the years. Always ordered a chicken or veggie sandwich. This Time I found out they had a dish called the wipe out its friend onion rings topped with chili beans, wow is it good! Actually filled me up so only got to take a bite of the side of chicken tenders. Would order this combo of sides again.

It was a glorious day in Goleta yesterday and I sat outside to enjoy the sunshine and my fabulous jalapeño burger with added bacon. It was juicy with just the right amount of heat from jalapenos. The french fries were crispy and seasoned well but the sweet potato fries were a big let down. They weren’t seasoned and weren’t crispy at all. I liked that you can order a meal inside and then have it served to you outside. Seating outside was plentiful but tables weren’t cleaned quickly enough for the next diner. We took our 2 dogs as did lots of other diners so thank you for being pet friendly. There is a good selection of sandwiches and burgers on the menu so I will return soon.

This burger place is ok for the area. Most places here in goleta are terrible it seems like nobody learned how to cook so everyone just settles for what is served. Anyway this place is OK for a burger place. I would eat a salad, sometimes the burgers can be on the burned side.

This was my first time here and first time trying Hawaiian food. The service was super friendly and I was given a few suggestions for a newbie. However, I didn’t listen and tried something else, the musubi, which is fine, but maybe not what I should have ordered for my first time. Looking forward to trying something different next time!

Per the previous recommendations, I tried the Bacon Cheeseburger, and Sweet Potato Fries. The Bacon Cheeseburger was not bad, but I’ve had better. The Sweet Potato Fries left something to be desired. Didn’t seem like much seasoning were on them at all. They weren’t very crispy, and a little soggy. For almost $ 12 for the combo with the small drink, this left much to be desired.

It’s totally hyped up, and nothing special. The food is frozen, and if you don’t realize it right when you bite into anything, then you’re simply naïve. I ordered a small salad and added chicken for a whopping $ 9.27! I cringed, especially when I saw how old and thin the salad looked, the croutons were soggy, the dressing tasted like mayo(DISGUSTING), and the chicken had a fishy taste!(I’m assuming the grill was used for fish right before and not cleaned.) Overall, very disappointing. P. S. It literally tasted like I was biting into salt. Everything was sooo salty.

I’ve eaten here twice and loved it both times! Really friendly service, average sized portions, welcoming ambiance. Would highly recommend the teryaki chicken plate.

Did a search for«burger» while touring UCSB and this place came up. SO glad we found it. After a very long day of walking around looking at colleges, I needed a burger and this place satisfied. I had the Santa Barbara burger with avocado and pepper jack and it was really good. The family had other burgers and chicken strips, all of which were very good. At $ 6 for a cheeseburger that kicks butt over fast food… DOIT!

I used to come here quite sporadically when I was younger, yet when I came back a weeks ago I found myself chomping on some sweet potato fries and a burger. The service is decent enough and the food has great taste. Not to oversell it, but I liked it; what more can you ask for? P. S. get the SWEETPOTATOFRIES. (Again, I don’t want to oversell it. [But get the darn fries!])

Only been here a couple times but I really like it! I always forget how close it is to me, but when I do remember it’s an awesome choice! Burgers and salads are all super good, very chill comfortable vibe, and reasonable prices! Definitely recommend– there’s something for everyone!

Got some burgers and my gf wanted steak so we got their hawaiian plate with rice. What stood out is the steak. very soft with teriyaki on the side. Burger patties very moist, I got the one with fried eggs inside and a combo with fries/onion rings and drink on the side. Delish! SB burger is nice. Missing some seasoning though? What I don’t like is their combo drinks are a small. Kind of disappointing. But the foods good. Just need some salt and pepper. Would come again

Kahuna Grill recently got new fries. They’re thin and crispy. They’re my favorite kind of fries! I think this warrants an upgrade to 5 stars, in my opinion. Also, I got the fish and chips and, while small, it is very delicious. The fish is very juicy and the chips are just like I like, as I mentioned above. Please keep the new fries!

They’re okay. You order at the counter and find a seat. Indoor ambience is pretty casual and chill. I ordered the Portobello mushroom burger that came with two grilled caps and Swiss(?) cheese. Wasn’t memorable, I’ve had better. Tried my boyfriend’s steak sandwich, and that was underseasoned. Nothing hit home or remotely swung a bat. I’ve no feelings about this place, doesn’t strike me at all. They have bottled beer, sports on TV, self-refillable fountain drinks. Purely informational. Zzzzz…

The jalapeño burger was so good; the fresh jalapeños in it were perfectly mild and added a nice spice. The service was great, the vibes were great, and this place is all around gr8. I also got the wipeout under encouragement from the server. It’s definitely a once in a year type of dish but it def satisfied me regardless. Check this place out for some good comfort food.

Kahuna grill remains as a great, consistently good, local food joint. The burgers are delicious, and their sweet potato fries and onion ring options are amazing! I always get the island burger~ the pineapple, teriyaki, and cheese are perfect together. They recently changed their bun and their fries. The bun is now a softer roll, which is still tasty and fine with me. However, I miss the old french fries! They used to be thicker, but now they’re more stringy… Please bring back the old fries!

Kahuna Grill is a good option for casual dining in Goleta. The restaurant is owned by Natural Café and operates in the same fashion with orders taken at the counter. The salads and hot plates are very large here. They’re good but nothing special. I’ve never had the burger, but I’ve heard they’re tasty. I don’t order them because I’m not a fan of plain white buns with sesame seeds. The shakes here are very good and just like those from Natural Café, except they come in tropical flavors like coconut and pineapple.

Convenient, fast and friendly. The food is better too. Tried the fish sandwich the other day. Good size, flaky, grilled white fish that fits the spot. Perfect size on lightly toasted bread. It’s a little too flaky to eat with hands but open face works well. I’ll get this again. Always cheery behind the counter and outdoor seating helps celebrate

Found this place on the hwy between Lompoc and Santa Barbara. Goleta? Never heard of it… WHENYOUGO– I wasn’t blown away or disappointed in the burger. I’d eat it again before a Smashburger but not before a Five Guys. The go to here will be the kabobs. Teriyaki style and not skimpy on the meat, these skewers were cooked perfectly and accompanied with a very unique teriyaki sauce and a nice bed of rice. There were a couple of craft taps but nothing I’d try again.
