I’ve loved this place for a long time(the one in Goleta). But lately, uh, seems like they have new people working which need some training. 1. They don’t wear gloves when making your food. Today I saw a guy handling a guy’s credit card and then go back to making sandwiches. Nasty. 2. I ordered a half veggie/cheese sandwich today, to go. When I opened it up it was literally just some mayo, mustard, cucumbers, pickles, and lettuce. They forgot the cheese, avocado, and tomatoes. Probably the three things I wanted most. Waste of six bucks and I’m still hungry. Oh and they used the wrong bread. And the bread was stale. Keep an eye on the hands making your food, and check your sandwich before you take it to go. Note I’ve never been to the one downtown SB, so I’m not commenting on that one.

Gotta give this place a good review if for no other reason than their awesome version of a club sandwich(or as I call it, the crispy yum yum) and the do-it-yourself side of fresh pickles. The above mentioned sammie is like a club, but better because they use crisped up spicy capicola instead of bacon(and I usually LOVE me some bacon); it is just different enough without completely throwing off the balance — and they always use perfectly ripe avocado. They also have a pickle bar where you can fill a bag of whatever you like for yourself. People working there are friendly, too so that’s a plus!

These guys are sandwich artists. The ultimate spot for lunch in Goleta. Goodland Club is to die for!

The Cuban is tasty. They have a choice of pepperoncini and two different kinds of pickles to add or have on the side for free. The chip selection is also good(especially the«Voodoo»). There are tables for outdoor seating. I’ll be back!

The downtown location is a lot better. I spent about 25 dollars on two sandwiches that had about 1 oz of meat between them both. Very disappointed.

My husband and I have been here over a dozen times due to its proximity to work. However after our last visit we decided never to waste our money here again. We get the veggie sandwich with no cheese, being vegan, it’s the only option for us there. The sandwhich really is pathetic, and this last time was the worst: one leaf of lettuce, a few pickle slices, some slivers of onion and some drops of mustard. Grand total= $ 15!(No chips/drink either, mind you!) I can’t believe I paid for that. I feel robbed. Best I can do is never go again.

Sandwiches are arguably the greatest lunch food, and Three Pickles is great at making them. This place is a little bit off the beaten path, but if you’re in the area it’s definitely worth checking out. Plus, awesome pickles to go with your sandwich? Count me in! I’ve had a few different sandwiches here, and they’ve all been delicious. If you’re into avocado and turkey, check out the Goodland Club. If you’re feeling like a nice hot sandwich, their take on the Cuban is awesome. There is, however, one major(and easily avoided) downside: hot sandwiches take a very, very long time. To their credit, the restaurant *does* warn you about this, so if you’re in a rush just get something cold. I stood around for about 20 minutes(!) at lunch to get a hot sandwich. The seating isn’t ideal — a few tables inside, and some patio seating out front — but if you’re stopping through to get a sandwich, you’re probably not looking for a comfy booth. You’re here for the bread, you’re here for the meat, and you’re here for the pickles. Three Pickles does all of those things exceedingly well.

Ordered food and noticed that workers who prepare sandwiches do not wear gloves. This is a violation of the basic hygiene rule. The food is good. We have tried cold and hot sandwiches and the salad. Would have given 5 stars if not for the gloves.

Hidden in old town in business park near the airport, this place never disappoints when it comes to getting an awesome deli sandwich. I like to come 5 – 10 minutes before noon to beat the line.

Randon Unilocal find on the way outta town back home. Crispy cappicola and pickles are awesome. Food: 4.5, Service: 4, Atmosphere: 3 Cost to worth it rating: 3($ 9 for a sandwich is a bit much but it was good!) Return worthiness: yes Eve award: best sandwich addition I’ve never heard of before: crispy capicolla Highlights: — Goodland club: like a turkey avocado club but with that crispy capicola which was really thin and a bit spicy. 4.5 stars — Pickle bar: liked the options of the sliced in coin shaped or spears. Pickling was mild yet tasty. 5 stars. — Quality: good breads and meats — Outdoor seating: few patio tables — Location: close to the freeway exit — Bar shout outs: had some liquor and champagne mats and tables which was comical since it’s a daytime deli which doesn’t serve it Lowlights: — In a office complex so not a destination spot — No bacon: the capicolla I believe is a substitute but my little guy who likes bacon sandwiches would’ve liked if they had it Liked my sandwich and I’d stop back in if I was around.

Went to Solvang and was staying in Santa Barbara, Unilocaled a place to get a bite. Three Pickles is a great little mom and pop owned deli. My hubby had the roast beef and the kids had cold tuna sandwich. I had the Goodland club, delish! Bread and all the veggies are fresh. Pickle spears are delish as a side! Highly recommended! Yummy deli subs and sandwiches! Owner and family run the business and they were very friendly! Thanks for a great lunch!

It’s okay. If it wasn’t that Unilocal requires me to write more in order to define this place is like whatever. If it wasn’t that it’s super close to my job I probably wouldn’t come here. I tried the gaucho and something else. Pricey for what you are getting. You would get a better deal going to South coast deli down the road or if you can head dt to Nortons Deli.

Delicious sandwiches and salads. I personally recommend the Presidio pastrami, very simple but delicious hot sandwich.

Be prepared to pay more than you may have expected. Waiting in line and looking at the printed menu I decided on The Presidio priced at $ 11.95 for a whole sandwich. Steep I thought but it’s got to be worth it. Right?! No surprise… the sandwich was tasty although a bit more meat would have been appreciated, kind of skimpy. The surprise was the extra dollar I had to pay for the sandwich as the prices are different on the chalkboard. Checked on line and they are different too. $ 13 for just a sandwich. Crazy.

Some of the sandwiches are pretty good while others, particularly the hot ones, are not. The only sandwich I liked here was the the Goodland Club with turkey, jack cheese, avocado, crispy capicolla, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo and mustard on wheat. The pickle bar is nice too and the location is good in my opinion for the people who work in the business park. For a hot sandwich I agree with other reviewers that Norton’s is better.

Three Pickles… You’re fine. You’re doing good. You’re not special though, besides your hours, those are special. Not too many businesses get away with being open for such a short amount of time, but I get it, being tucked into a business park. Work brought me into the area, lunch brought me into Three Pickles. The staff was the crown jewel of the place. They were funny and energetic, joking with each other, genuinely smiling, and keeping up with a decent lunch rush. I had a veggie sub, really disappointed in the bread. It’s basically as exciting as Subway’s white bread. I didn’t get a pickle, which I now regret after reading all the rave reviews about them. :-( The toppings on the sub were generous, not Mother Theresa generous but definitely more than Subway’s Scrooge portions.(Sorry for comparing you guys with Subway, but as a Sandwich shop you gotta feel where I’m coming from.) I hope to come back here honestly, even if it’s only to try a home made pickle.

DEL-ICI-OUS! I have grabbed lunch here several times and each time I’ve always been very satisfied. Today, I got the Sub Our Way with roasted turkey. The sandwich was amazing. It appeared very bready, but it did not taste that way. It was full of flavor and delicious roasted turkey, pickles, tomatoes, mayo, and mustard. During previous visits, I have ordered their hot pastrami(which is sooo good, but full of caloric guilt!) and the garden salad(which is surprising good considering this place is known for their sandwiches(and their pickles)). Speaking of pickles, they have free homemade pickles(one bag per customer) and as a pickle fanatic, these are not to be missed. The staff is always friendly, they have an awesome selection of refrigerated sodas, as well as a soda fountain, and best of all the have a great Axxess deal for first time users– buy one get one free. You can’t beat that! Happy lunching!

The sandwiches here are OK. There’s usually a line during peak lunch hours, since it’s in the middle of an office park. The sandwiches are small for the price, but they’re not bad. They also have a really good variety of chips. Personally, though, I’d rather go down the road a few miles and go to Norton’s.
