Thistletop Inn

I’m really afraid our secret Eden will be discovered by everyone if I give this B&B the review it deserves. We usually visit Nashville several times a year. My husband found Thistletop on the internet 5 years ago & since then, we won’t stay anywhere else! It’s So beautiful, warm, welcoming & relaxing here. Fred & Mary Jane are the perfect hosts. Their breakfast is to die for! I can’t say enough about them… they are our favorite peeps! Also… Any given moment you will see deer & wild turkey roaming around. All the rooms are beautifully decorated & the beds are very comfortable. The entire mood is chill & the game room is a fun place to hang out. My husband calls it a ‘spiritual vortex’ because we never want to leave & can’t wait to come back. Pretty amazing!

I recently stayed at Thistletop Inn for a birthday weekend getaway. I wanted a weekend in a new city and he wanted a relaxing time away from home and somehow Thistletop in satisfied us both! 15 minutes from downtown Nashville we were able to sight see, and relax in the country. Mary Jane and Fred were not only hospitable they were fun, conversational and really appeared to be genuinely enjoying their lifestyle as inn keepers. I have been telling people about this piece of heaven since we left. GO!

Five stars is not high enough for this charming bed and breakfast. My husband and I stayed there for our honeymoon and we could not have asked for anything better! Fred and Mary Jane are the most hospitable people you will ever run across, they made us feel so welcome and even though we only stayed two nights, we left feeling as though we made a personal connection and friendship with the owners.
We stayed in the Taos room and the décor was gorgeous, there was an ice bucket waiting for our celebratory wine and there was even a corkscrew in the room (which was good because we forgot ours!).
The location is beautiful, surrounded by country and wide open sky and the drive to the inn is Tennessee country at its finest.
Oh, and did I mention the breakfast? Scarcely had I ever eaten a better breakfast, Fred is a most excellent cook and accommodated our vegetarian diet. He definitely uses cooking as an art form.
I have nothing but the highest praise for the Thistletop Inn, thank you for making our stay a most memorable experience.
