Warning to all people with disabilities! This store is discriminatory against you!
Went in to this store today, happily shopping and perusing the sandals after selecting some tennis shoes. A group of young ladies start coming in with their service dogs in tow. Well… the manager started throwing a fit when another couple with a child walked out. He said that they, the dogs, are scaring his customers away. He even tried to get me to say that they were hindering my shopping! I thought that it was pretty cool to see them come in as they were training their dogs. I was shopping as they were doing their tests. As they would in real life. That is the point of them coming in to the store.
This store manager is more worried about his bottom line for 15 minutes while these ladies do some training with their service dogs. He is rude and obnoxious and will follow you around like a rude used car salesman. If it weren’t for the assistant manager that greeted me and pointed me in the direction I wanted to go and then left me alone I would have walked out without my selections, after supporting these ladies in what they are doing.
This store manager even said that he was going to call the police on this group. I’m pretty sure that if he or his family needed a service dog he would be more understanding.
If I ever go into this store again I will walk out if that manager is there. He’s a jerk and I would rather go to another more expensive store in town for shoes. This is the only reason I am giving them 1 star. The store is a nice store. I have never seen or been treated like I was today by any other of the employees there. It is clean and it is pretty well organized.
