Under new management. Staff is friendly and provide good service. Food is still awesome.

I feel for a place that is a locals bar, buy I just give up on trying to like this joint. Service is let the problem, it’s the time it takes the consistently overcooked and cold(somehow always mange to meet both criteria) food to get out of the kitchen. This Saturday our party of 12 ordered food and watched smaller parties enter, order, eat, and leave before our orders started crawling out. This is a sports bar, but don’t plan on taking advantage of any games you want to see in the 25 tvs. Between burned out screens and duplicate games, the bar seems to only cater to changing the channel to watch SVU, not the upset alert game with 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter. What really make it bad was the manager walking over any lying to me about the final score of the game saying it was over instead of just picking up a remote. Never again.

This place was dead when we walked in at 5pm. It took a minute for the servers/bartender to warm up to me & my husband. We had a few beers just checking the place out. We were told the food was good by the manager. So I had a fried fish platter that was OK. This place just seems to be missing something. It’s too dark, I really enjoyed the servers & bartenders.

Why are there no customers in here?! It used to be busy and then lgs opened up across the street. Buccas is better than lgs! Good food, good service! It has a nice set up. People, come to Buccas!

Food is pretty good, but WTF is this? gator bites are 8.50 and I was served this? This is heinous. It’s disrespectful and uncalled for. The waitress is lucky I didn’t call the manager and make him eat these gator bites in a baby seat while I feed him with a slingshot. The portion system needs to be revised. 8.50 my 4 $$!

Had dinner and drinks last Saturday. Great atmosphere lot and lots of tv’s.Great staff and the food was fantastic! I had the French dip that was way to big for one. The roll was definately made someplace up North. Cant find that quality here. My husband’s burger was great and the onion rings really good. Cant wait to go back. Also we spent sometime with the owner. Couldnt ask for better hospitality.

Thursdays bingo night is fun with friends and good food. Try their homemade lasagna. They have the only good fried pickles in the area.

never again. ever. the gator bites, or gator crumbs as we called them looked like they were the re-fried leftovers of the crumbs in the bottom of an order that wasn’t finished. then they threw them on flimsy, brown lettuce and actually expected us to eat them. we sent them back. we waited for 30 minutes for 10 wings and a chicken sandwich. the wings were good because they were crispy, which is they way we like them but my mayonnaise, I mean, chicken sandwich was soggy and only tasted like the mayo. it’s way overpriced for the quality. I’d eat at McDonalds before I ever go back there.

This place confuses me! After our last decent meal we tried it again and it was worse than cafeteria food… horrible actually. I don’t get it. There was also a different bartender who took forever and was not friendly in the least. Oh well, lesson learned.

Really terrible brunch. Totally raw eggs… I mean when I tell people this story they ask«how did you order them?». Well I wasn’t asked how I wanted them at all but I assumed they would be fried. I could see they were 90% clear 10% white before they even put the plate in front of me. I can understand some clear on top if I had ordered sunny side up but these were soooo raw. I sent them back & they were better but still a bit raw. The potatoes were crunchy & the grits were blah. I don’t plan on going back.

Stopped in for lunch on a weekday. Service was friendly and prompt. The burger with a salad was a great deal and very tasty. Will return.

Had a horrible ending to trip to Buccas today. I’m a Hanahan boy that loves to make an appearance every now and then to see old friends and it’s been a while since I’ve visited Buccas. I knew the bartender Rachel and although she was busy, she gave us great service and I never had an empty drink. When the shift manager came in to take over, she was completely rude to Rachel the bartender in front of us and continued her horrible attitude for the entire time we were there. Having been in retail management for 16 years, I wanted to pull the manager to the side myself and let her know how uncomfortable it made me feel to sit there after that and how unprofessional it was for her to do that on the sales floor. I can honestly say that no matter how much I’d like to see old friends, I probably will not ever be back there. It’s a shame because it’s a great location and the business has such potential with just a little better front of house management. Compliments to the chef for great nachos and to Rachel the bartender for great service.

The boneless chicken wings were an odd chewy texture, and they were kind of like boneless chicken squares… yeah. We got boneless because I was sharing with the hubs and that is what he wanted, he doesn’t like bones. Other than that, the service was fine(and we had a big group, so I think it’s noteworthy). I know some in the group ran across the street to the grocery store because they had ordered potato skins and the restaurant had run out of sour cream. Oops. The drinks were fine as well. I went with the happy hour rum and diet coke. There are a lot of TV’s. It’s kind of like a mild version of Buffalo Wild Wings as far as the environment, but the wings aren’t nearly as good. On a side note, this place is in Goose Creek, so maybe it’s the best they have in Goose Creek. I probably won’t be back, largely because it’s in Goose Creek(and I only went out there because it was someone’s party and they chose the place). Apparently West Ashley and downtown have spoiled me to how good things can be!

We have been here before, and never disappointed… Until today. The waitress was more focused on her station behind the bar than our table… Thinking she should have been working the bar only. Our Philly cheese and steak came toasted… Maybe I’m just used to a philly on warm soft bread??? I did not appreciate it on a toasted sub. Just a bad day at Bucca’s maybe???

The first time we went, it was just so/so. There was only one waitress but it was slow going, it took forever to get my salad and the two other people I was with got burgers. We assumed they forgot about us. The waitress was the only positive. I did like the gator bites, just not the price. The second time we went, we went because we were passing near by, and I wanted just gator bites. … First off the two people working the bar didn’t greet, speak, acknowledge us in any way. We caught a glimpse of the same waitress as last time, but only for a moment. we stood there near the bar waiting to be sat for 6 minutes. Finally I sent my husband up to the other end of the bar to order from the women chatting there. I left to go get a chicken and some sides from the Bi-lo and when I came back my husband was waiting. I stepped back into Bucca’s to speak with someone but the bartender never turned around she was on her phone with her back to me the entire time. I finally just laughed really loudly, said the lack of service was disgusting, and the bartender just gave me a dirty look. It was lunch time, but only three tables were filled. I wont return to this place, and have on at least 4 occasions, told people who asked if I went there, not to bother.

Went to Bucca’s for lunch with a crowd of 8. Restaurant only had around 15 people eating that included our party. Waitress made a comment while she was taking our order«sorry I wasn’t listening». It was evident that was true. Two of the orders didn’t come until the other six people were finished eating. One ended up as a takeout, the other was returned because it was burnt. Poor service. Strike that one off out list of places to eat.

The food was decent and service was ok. Liked the salad size and options. Only negative is if you are gluten free you are limited with what is available.

Good bar with good happy hour prices and decent food. Located in the shopping center next to Bi-Lo right outside of Tanner Plantation. Last time I was there I got some hot wings and they were pretty good. The dry rubs are the best IMO. Protip: They have Golden Tee.

Buccas just got bought out and is under new management but I have been told that nothing will change. Still the same staff and same routine. So we shall see. The new owner seems to be a nice guy and might bring some Italian flair to the menu we shall see.

Pretty awesome place to grab a beer. Great prices, cool staff, and some awesome outdoor seating. It’s a decent size place to, so plenty of bar room and tables without being cramped. Seems like they also have lots of events in the evenings, might just have to check one out one night. Good, friendly crowd here so should be fun. I’ll be back.
