This store in the Goose Creek off St. James was in disarray. maybe they were reorganizing? I think one of those signs that say«pardon us during our re-organization» or whatever it is would be nice. … it seems more than once they r stocking during customer hours and i’ve not been able to reach shelves due to high metal carts with boxed items blocking the way. I usually go to the one off Rivers by Sports Authority. The manager there always greets people and is very visible and hands on with helping on the floor. It’s a smaller store, but always pretty together. I went to get my dog’s small rawhide chew bones and several of the bones hanging slots were empty. Did get my laundry soap which still remains cheaper than Walmart. They have the best prices on cleaning products, pet items, allergy meds. Think Big Lots has outdone them on paper products now. I used to buy Cover Girl make-up here, but their prices are high now, about same as Walmart and less selection now it seems. Think they need to rename the store to Value General like the fast food chains renamed their dollar menu Value menu since nothing ain’t a dollar anymore. They’re pretty close to or matching Walmart these days, although they started a $ 1 aisle of items lately. I didn’t locate this today though in this store. There is an oriental looking cashier that’s been there awhile and always displays excellent customer service. Unfortunately, she was not my cashier today and I was waited on by someone having a personal conversation on a cell phone. In fact I saw her on her cell the whole time I was in the store. This has happened before with another cashier stopping in the middle of ringing me up to answer a personal call on a cell phone. I find this rude and annoying and can’t believe a store would allow it.
