Cedar Mills Marina & Resort

We had a camping event here this past weekend and stayed at the campgrounds. I have to say it is spacious and right on the water. There are plenty of RV spaces with power & water. They have restrooms & showers within walking distance of where we pitched our tents and it has A/​C! YAY! It was awesome to go to the restroom & shower in the cold A/​C. The showers we strong & hot! I enjoyed camping here and recommend it highly. Many people anchored their boats right off shore. It was great to float in the water and watch all the boats come in & out of the marina. A good time was had by all!

We did not stay at Cedar Mills overnight. We were just out to look at a boat but we stayed to have lunch at the restaurant (Pelican’s Landing) and drive through the grounds. We were very impressed with what we saw. The restaurant is great. The petting zoo doesn’t have very many animals (2 goats, a calf, a sheep, and a duck) but is cool nonetheless. The standard cabins look nice and have a playground right outside. Everything looks newish and well maintained. The deluxe cabins are very impressive. They are on the back side of the resort so there shouldn’t be a lot of traffic of cars going by. They are next to the air strip and there was a plane there as we drove by so it is used. That could be loud but I doubt that there are too many planes landing at any point in time. Amazed this isn’t already on Unilocal.There are so many places on the lake that look like they were nice once but have suffered. This place isn’t like that. It looks well-​maintained and doing well. Of course, we didn’t see inside the cabins but we would definitely take a chance on them based on what we saw.
The marina store has a great selection of women’s cover-​ups and accessories. Boutique styles but not boutique prices (nice cover-​ups for $ 20 to $ 40).
