This property has a lot of charm and a great team. I worked here 9 years ago, and it was the premier hotel in Goshen. It has great curb appeal, a unique pool setup and the best team of employees in Goshen. You ask why three stars: — No Wifi in rooms(there is an Ethernet cable to connect with at the desk) — Beds are hard(need replaced) — Bathrooms(they’re clean, but they look dated) — Limited channel line up and old TV’s — $ 8.95 for breakfast(nice buffet though) — No elevator(if you would require one) The positives: — Very Clean — Great Staff — Well Maintained — Good location — Good pool I hope this hotel gets the renovation and updating that it desperately needs. It has the potential to shine once again, but a little redo will go a long way… and in 2012, people need reliable WIFI! PS: The manager has responded to reviews on TripAdvisor that the mattresses were replaced with pillow top. This isn’t the case.

So this hotel used to be called the Carlton Lodge. It opened 20 years ago and at the time was the Nicest newest place in Goshen. They held an open house and I remember viewing a hot tub suite they had at the time! This is what a hotel was supposed to be in my mind. The room I got was your standard room but with a place named courtyard with a gigantic courtyard and a room with the view of it I expected more than a single pane window looking out onto it! The lady who checked me in was helpful and friendly during my stay right before Christmas. The pool is one of the neatest features of this hotel as it is both indoor and outdoor and connects. During the summer you can swim freely inside and out! in the same pool! I reccoment staying here but upgrade your room so you get a full view and the hot tub rooms are the best!
