Went here for the first time in the new location — I was not so overly impressed that I will make the trip back out to go there. The food was good, don’t get me wrong. I enjoyed my combo plate which had a taco, burrito and chimichanga with rice and refried beans– my son ordered a burrito himself and was expecting a Chipotle, Taco Bell American type — it s not– its a small rolled tortilla with shredded beef inside — but anyway. The price difference was kids burrito was 9.95 can came with 1 burrito, rice and ice cream — the adult was 10.95 and came with rice and beans and 3 burritos. So the kids meal was not a good value if you have an older kid on the end of the kids meal age group. The table behind us got the kids meal and we were relieved because it was so small. The front end host and hostess/server really don’t make you feel like you are welcomed– kind of like we interrupted their conversation– they stopped as we walked in and stared at us– until someone else in our party said«are you open?» She just said yeah and continued to remain quiet and look at us until I asked — can we eat?.. She didn’t say a word and he handed her menus and she walked away– we asked out loud if we should follow and nobody said anything– it was hush hush and we felt we interrupted their day by trying to eat there… maybe they had a bad day? who knows! I think its a little pricy for what you get– and soda is not free refill– they charge for each tiny 12oz bottle of coke they bring you. The bussers were nice and were around asking if you need anything else or extras, taking plates, delivering food — the only thing the server did was take the order and then take our card, so hopefully they pool tips other wise those dudes got the shaft. Anyway I have a couple places a little closer that have better value and make you feel a little more welcome, Jimmy Changas and Mexican Kitchen I’m looking at you!

This is the go-to place for Mexican Food! Their new location down the street is bigger and even better than the original location. While their prices have gone up a little since the move, they are still within reason — and there is always something on the menu no matter what you’re in the mood for. Truly a good night out, always. Been going here for over 10 years and I wouldn’t change a thing.

5 stars for the fun you’ll have coming here for your birthday and 5 stars for sitting on the patio on a beautiful night. Always friendly staff!

Really solid Mexican fare. The outdoor seating is great, even though the view is the road, the building makes up for it. Oh, and the Margarita is worthy.

The place is beautiful. I recommend the Hacienda for first dates because the food comes out really fast and you can get rid of someone if conversation gets meek. The ground beef taste like dog meat. It was like eating a stomach ache one bite at a time. They charge extra for cheese on tacos which is very un-American if you ask me but I guess cheese on tacos in Mexico is unheard of.

Watch your bill. We came there at 2:30 and ordered from the lunch menu. We got our bill and halfway through the meal it turned into dinner prices without being advised that anything we ordered after 3 would be charged at dinner prices including your second soda. The bill is actually divided into lunch vs dinner. Iced tea is cheaper at lunch than it is at dinner. Desserts are more expensive as well. A friend asked for a bit more sour cream and it was reflected in her bill as an extra side! We asked both the waitress and the manager who we spoke to later on and basically that’s their business practice!

Since my last review, the hacienda has changed location and has really come back. Good food, nice big bar as compared to the old one. I’m once again a fan!

Oh Hacienda. I hadn’t been to Hacienda since they recently changed locations. Their new location at the former catering hall is very pretty. The outdoor seating looks amazing and inside is just as nice. Here is where you lose me Hacienda. $ 9.99 for a kids meal?! Yikes. $ 18.95 for shrimp with the tails still on them?! Double yikes. There are no free refills even on soda. The food is alright but definitely very noticeably overpriced. The staff is very nice and fast, but for those prices I will go someplace else.

I think Hacienda is one of the places you go to when you want to get hammered with a bunch of people and just wind down. Their food is okay or good depending on the visit, and the service is always speedy, which is really a plus for me. There is something about going to a huge fancy banquet hall to eat $ 9 entrees that doesn’t really appeal to me. Hacienda kind of belonged in that old house down the street with all the stupid cinco de mayo stuff on the walls and themed tables and what not. Throwing some red and green light bulbs, random pinatas, sculptures, and random stuff into such a nice space just seems odd to me. I want the full throttle, corny, sort of generic Mexican-American food experience that I received at the old Hacienda. I think it is $ 5 or so for table side guac though, I am not arguing with that one bit.

It was my fathers birthday so I decided to take him out to lunch to celebrate. I’ve been to Haciedas old location but not their new place. We walked up and noticed their outdoor seating. The deck they have is beautiful, and since it was a nice day we decided to join the other patrons and sit outside as well. The hostess was very welcoming when taking us to our table. Greeted us with a smile(something I’ve noticed a lot of restaurant hostesses do not do anymore, such a shame). Our server gave us chips and salsa and a cheese quesadilla for free(similar to El Bandido in Spring Valley). I ordered the combination platter with enchilada suiza, chile relleno, and enchilada. The food was okay, nothing terrible but not amazing at the same time. My dad got a dish with shrimp in it, and said it was okay. The cost was pretty reasonable for everything which was great and portions were big. Overall, the service, portions, and prices were great. The food was okay, nothing to write home about. I will probably give Hacienda another try next time I’m up in Orange County.

We wanted to sit outside which was too much of a wait. Inside was nice but on a Saturday nite noisy so bring the kids not a date. The margaritas were good and so was the service. The food was basic but good. The hot sauce was fresh! Overall good.

I think their food is very good. Mexican food, combo specials. The place is crowded — may have to wait. Nice decorations — good for dates.

I always like the food and the guacamole table side is great. Lost one star for the $ 2 bottles of coke that are only 8oz, no refils. The second star goes for the tamales, which I personally found to have way too much corn and not enough meat… plus the cheese sometimes overtakes the plate. But their margaritas are spot on and the atmosphere is pretty great. Definitely an Orange County staple.

So Hacienda has been a mainstay on the Restaurant scene in Orange County for quite awhile now. When people suggested eating here I would just roll my eyes. The food was mediocre and the restaurant looked like a piñata threw up. However, they just moved and I think the move reinvigorated them. The are now sharing space with Palacio Catering and Convention Center just up the road from the original location. They have moved into a bigger space and gone are all the paper streamers everywhere. We were seated right away when we got there. Our server Freddy was very attentive and so was our buser. The place was full for Saturday at 4:30 pm. Just before the dinner rush. The complimentary chips and salsa were good. I would call the salsa mild with sweet onions. We also shared the shrimp ceviche. It was a large portion that was very refreshing. I could of literally had that as my meal. My main entrée was the tamales. They were good. They were a bit dry and smothered in cheese. In fact, the whole plate was smothered in cheese. But all around they were tasty. Overall a nice experience and I was thinking of suggesting going here in a couple of weeks for me birthday.

Coming from AZ I know Mexican food. The salsa is great. The food was average but not oven hot at all. Almost cold. Flavor was ok We were shocked when they charged us for ice tea refills without telling us. If we hadn’t been with friends we would have complained. They brought the wrong meal which was missing an item. They said they would bring it out but they never did. That was the most irritating.

Love this new location the outside is great the inside is so nice. Love the service and the authentic Mexican food is perfect. The sangria Snd frozen margaritas are perfect. My family and I have gone for years and years to the previous location and enjoyed the food. Now they have a larger building . The outside patio I’d really done beautifully we wl continue to enjoy our dinners and drinking out here. Love everything about this Mexican restaurant the staff is THEBEST ! POLITE!

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food avoid this place at all costs. Everything is tasteless and covered in cheese and definitely not authentic. We really don’t enjoy leaving bad feedback but felt compelled after our lack luster meal to write this. To top it off the service was pretty bad. We asked for Patron, were told they were all out so we got a different brand. It took so long to get our drinks I went to the bar myself and discovered two giant full bottles of Patron actively being poured out of by the bartender. To top it off the bottles of beer were not cold and the tap beer was flat. This seems harsh, I know, but very spot on. To get freshly made real Mexican food try Tulcingo or Amigo’s in Monroe or Goshen respectively.

I got the enchiladas and they were good. Not the best but the price was reasonable, the amount of cheese was good, serving size good, and with the free chips and salsa and cheese quesadilla I liked it. Food 3 stars. But service and décor puts it at a 4. Our servers were extremely fast and helpful. My water was never empty and they never rushed us yet if I needed somethin(the check) once they saw me looking around they were right there. While you might not be blown away by the flavors, it is pretty good and the low prices make it more than acceptable.
