Such a cute little spot with some great tasting ice cream! This was my first time here — it seems to be quite the popular place, and they have a nice variety too — ice cream, slushies, frozen yogurt, and even some snacks. I tried a scoop of the coconut almond joy and it was delicious! There’s a nice little patio area with chairs and tables so you can enjoy your treat with friends and family :) I’ll definitely be back to explore the rest of their menu anytime I’m around Goshen.

Perfect setting to take your family for a summertime treat! They have the cutest outdoor patio with plenty of tables and chairs to enjoy your ice cream or snow cone. And their ice cream is delicious! I tried the coconut almond joy because the candy bar is my favorite and it had bits of chocolate, coconut and almonds mixed into vanilla ice cream. So so yummy. The lady behind me in line asked what I got and had to order the same thing. Definitely recommend. I got the medium cone which comes with three scoops and since I don’t eat a ton of sweets it was too much for me lol. I’ll have to stick with small next time. Now I kind of wish I also tried the white pistachio but it’s okay. Just an excuse to go again another time!

Yummy ice cream in a beautiful peaceful setting. Friendly owner. Right off the main highway(RT17). Salty pretzel caramel and white pistachio excellent locally made in the Hudson Valley ;better as it tempered in the cup. Lisa E. saved me the tiny tip of her soft sweet store made waffle cone(doesn’t that sound kinda sexy)! Great find… Go now it’s 85 and sunny !

This is the best ice cream in Goshen. The product is good and the prices are reasonable. They have a great little nook at the beginning of the trail. It makes for an awesome experience.

Great tasting ice cream! Their location right at the beginning(or end, depending on where you’re coming from, I guess) of the Heritage Trail is convenient– makes for a great treat for the kids after bike riding or walking the trail. The service is friendly and fast, and they take credit/debit cards(a huge plus since so many small businesses up here choose not to). Their Chipwich ice cream sandwich has got to be, hands down, the best ice cream sandwich I have ever tasted.

I’m from CA but out in Goshen maybe twice a year visiting my husband’s family, and I’m so happy this place is down the street! The ice cream sold here(Jane’s Homemade Ice Cream based in Kingston) is superb: creamy with great flavors. As far as Trailside Treats itself, the selection of flavors and other offerings is great, and at good prices. $ 3 for a small will get you two good scoops of ice cream — perfect for trying flavors! Open till 10pm, perfect for summer nights. We made multiple visits on this trip and will continue to return when in town(and when it’s Spring or Summer) :)

I am SO excited that there is finally a great ice cream spot in Goshen! I am even more ecstatic that it abuts the Heritage Trail! Tonight I had the Salty Caramel Pretzel and the Killer Chocolate with peanut butter sauce. Both flavors were creamy, rich, and flavorful. Also, prices were extremely fair. We paid ~$ 9.50 for a small and two medium cups. Great local spot, friendly service, plentiful seating and parking, and delicious locally made ice cream! I will absolutely be back!
