The pond itself is nice. Great central location, and the water is warmer than the surrounding lakes up the highway. The main reason I’m writing the review is to warn everyone about the leeches. Our kids also got leeches. We’ve never had this problem before, but maybe something’s in the air(er– water) this year? Bottom line, be really careful about wading into the water and walking through the mud. I guess that’s where they hang out. I would expect that if you go into the deeper parts of the lake and aren’t walking through mud, you should be fine. But you should know how to remove leeches before getting in there either way.

My family and I have gone to lake mill pond lots of times. This year my son also got 2 leeches will not be going swimming there again.

Usually the greatest place to watch fireworks over the 4th– but today our girls were swimming and got 5 Leaches! NOT swimming this year! And watch your pets too!

Nice quiet place to picnic. It seemed fairly crowded, but it was still easy to find a quiet place to sit and relax after a long morning ride. Refreshments are right there, and so are water floaties in case you decide to get in. I saw there is midweek music, which I think seems like a real treat. Think I need to come here for that sometime!
