Popeyes

I have seen a ton of commercials for Popeyes and finally decided to stop and try it. I must say overall, it’s like they took things I love from a few places and created a single restaurant! I ordered their Cajun Popcorn Shrimp and Chicken combo. It came with several Cajun popcorn shrimp with a crispy batter, huge chicken tenders with the best crunchy outside, seasoned fries, a biscuit and a drink. The strip were perfectly seasoned with a kick and crunchy outside. I do wish the tails were removed to make it easier to eat. The chicken was crispy on the outside, moist inside and HUGE! I think they could use a little salt because it did seem a little unseasoned, but still good. The fries were hot and seasoned but not too spicy. The biscuit was warm, buttery and had a slight crunch on the outside while the middle was soft and fluffy. The wait was a little longer than expected, but I think it’s because they made more food because mine was piping hot! I’ll definitely be back soon! It was less than $ 7!

My wife is a huge fan of Popeyes, so when we heard that they were building a location near our home, we were thrilled… and this particular location does an outstanding job of fueling our love for Popeyes! Always fresh food, extremely generous portions, friendly staff (who seem, by all accounts, to genuinely value their customers), and a spotless dining area make for a very enjoyable culinary experience. We visit at least once a week, and are never disappointed. Furthermore, as a self-​proclaimed «sweet tea snob», their beverages are ALWAYS perfect (I cannot, however, offer a firsthand opinion on their unsweetened tea, because I am a Southerner and therefore have fully-​operational taste buds). If you love chicken as much as we do, give this Popeyes location a try!

Service a tiny bit slow, but they were busy. The girl at the register was very pleasant and knew her job. I had a 3 pc spicy with onion rings. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the rings were delicious. The beverage dispenser was poorly placed in the same area where people wait for their orders. An additional machine would be nice as their was a long line to get drinks. It was compounded by the line of folks waiting for their meals. With that aside, the restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was excellent!

Another corporate chain driven processed food joint crammed down our throats. I ate here a week ago and got the grilled chicken strips and they tasted worse than frozen microwaved food. The biscuits were decent, but anything is when you dunk it in butter 4 times. Do yourself a favor, go home and cook a wholesome meal and skip this place.
