Small venue located in a plaza surrounded by various other small stores and restaurants. I came for a 21st birthday party. Our invitation said the party would commence at 4:00 pm but upon arrival which we arrive at 4:00 pm we found a venue that was not set up yet. I asked the people that were having the party what happened and they informed me that they were not provided with the key to open the venue until 4:00 p.m. I found that to be very unprofessional of the venue. The venue has security and the parking lot is in the same plaza for multiple stores.

Not the best banquet hall and not in the best of locations, but the proprietors are nice, flexible, reasonable, and it’s cheap! Granada Pavillion is an aging dance hall in a large strip mall that contains Trader Joe’s. There is a large parking lot but it is inevitably full. You are allowed to bring whatever décor and food and drinks you want and chairs and tables are included. The décor is «plain jane» but with the amount of time we were allowed, and the fact that we were allowed to do much, and we were allowed to drop off equipment the day before… the rental fee was worth it!

Good place to see that growing old does not have to suck. This review is for the Saturday nigh ballroom dance class and dance. This is a really big banquet room than holds a lot of different events. There are also Friday dances, yoga, jazzercise and other classes in this hall behind the Trader Joe’s and a couple of doors down from Pep Boys. It is big, more than two basketball courts in size. There were plenty of tables and chairs. The floor is all wood. There is a big space left for dancing. The dance instructor, Spencer, lead us in a hour dance lesson starting at 6:30, tonight was samba, but he teaches a different dance every week, foxtrot, waltz rumba, tango, cha cha cha, west coast swing, swing, disco/hustle and bolero. The average age here is about 60, but there were some 40 – 80 year-olds. They had a 3 piece band of drums, keyboard and a guy that played trumpet, fugelhorn and valve trombone. Mix of Latin, swing, big band and disco music. Their snacks included coffee, soda, box wine, cappicino, doughnuts, orange juice and water. There was a raffle for lillies and chocolate bunnies. every one was nice. Just $ 12 for a lesson, dancing and snacks.
