Not bad! We love a dive! Especially a dive that smells nice and looks clean! Tabitha was sweet!

Mikey is the bartender and a nice blast from the past. He is incredible friendly without any fluff. He keeps the spirit up beat and caters to your personality. Now have come twice. Once on a friday and the place was slammed with a dart competition and once on a thursday. Thursday was much more peaceful… the parking is a bit of a challenge on the weekends

It’s a lot of fun. It’s not the most hip bar, but that’s not what you come here for. Cheap drinks, darts, and hanging out with friends. There’s a jukebox thing going on in one corner. I dunno, it’s a very laid back place. Music isn’t really freakin loud, you can talk to your friends easily. Mike is a chill guy, he jokes around with the customers. If you’re looking for some mixology bar or some bar with a shitload of beers or whatever move along. It’s just a laid back bar that’s a lot of fun. Kicks ass in the valley you know? I’m sure you do.

Tender glow is awesome. My friends and I usually come here during the week, so I’ve never seen this place packed with people. The people who are here drinking are usually all very friendly, not to mention the bartenders! Tabatha is amazing, she is my usual bartender who knows what she’s doing. The last time I was here, the bartender made me and my friend a drink called a d*** in the dirt. Mind you, we both had a half yard at yard house prior to our visit here, and we just wanted to go somewhere else to grab a well priced hard alcohol drink. The DITD is no joke. I have no idea what was in it, but it didn’t taste too bad. Order one when you’re in here!

Came here on a Thursday night the place was really empty. No big deal. The bartender was really nice and the drinks were really cheap! Jack and coke please :) Parking is on the side and a jack in the box near by if your hungry afterwards. I would want to come back to this place when its more busy or full just to see how it is. I highly recommend this bar if your in the neighborhood and looking for somewhere chill to drink. Cheers!

The drinks are relatively inexpensive and bar has an authentic run down and seedy American feel to it. Even though it’s dark and dingy and perhaps attracts some interesting people it’s worth stopping by for a drink. Will drink here again.

Change the name!!! I did not expect it to be so nice inside. Comfortable, big room… clean… plenty of dart boards, small tables to sit at.

A solid three stars. Clean and friendly atmosphere. Over 50 crowd during the day, younger crowd at night. Reasonable prices. Full bar excellent employees. All kinds of characters come and go. Parking can be tight. No High Definition, and TV’s are in awkward to view locations.

I love this place! Its never too crowded! Except for dart night! Mike is an awesome bartender! I think he is the only one… lol It’s like being on a porn set from the 70’s.

This place is great! Recently came to this bar and had a great time here with my friends and the bar tender that night was amazing! Her name was Tabitha. She really took care of us that night. Great place to just chill and hang out with friends and have a few drinks.

Cool place to hang. I’m not a regular but I know a few who are. People are friendly and the drinks are crazy cheap. Tabitha is a great and friendly bartender. I also like Mikey. I recommend the place. Yea, it could be classified as a dive bar but so could most local neighborhood bars. This one is clean and pleasant.

What can I say? I love Tabby!!! Just kidding Tabitha(never call her Tabby… or Samantha :)). She is a cool bartender that is comfortable in her own skin and her service is great. We went last Saturday night and the place was pretty full, mostly with regulars. Definately a dive bar, but is there really any other?

Classic dive bar that is also unexpectedly clean! Even the bathrooms were amazingly clean. Creepy regulars, old beer smell, shiny jukebox… this joint has it all! Hits the spot perfectly on a lazy Sunday afternoon. File under: fantastically craptacular dive bars!

Night One of My Beers & Tears Heart-Broke Man Tour. I’ve been driven out into the night by a wild desire, a manic sorrow, a broken heart. Some how, it leads me here… The bar door swings open and I swagger in. The place is a dive. But I have seen worse. The thing I’ve learned about dive bars is that no matter how dark, dank or grimey they are, they are always someone’s comfort, joy and most assuredly love. Like a mother’s undying love for an ugly baby, a dive bar is the proverbial shite to the proverbial pig(as in like a pig to shite…). And tonight I’m feeling pretty oink-oink piggish.(piggily?) «What kind of beer you got?» I ask, slapping a twenty-spot down on the tear-stained bar. The droopy mustachioed old coot behind the bar squints when he smiles. «57 different kinds of beer. 57! Do you want me to name them all?» I have my doubts. «Guinness?» “Yes sir, I’ve got Guinness” he says smiling his squinty-faced smile. The Old Coot squats down behind the bar and starts digging through the little fridge. «I know I saw one in here the other day», his mustachio wiggling as he talks. 57 beers, I wonder, maybe he means there are actually only 57 beers in the whole bar. While I ponder this Chinese riddle the Old Coot keeps up his scrounging of the little fridge. He shows the kind of determination that has turtles beating hares in challenges of speed & distance. «A-Ha!» he cries out in triumph, setting a tall black can of Guinness down on the bar in front of me with a satisfying metallic clack. The Old Coot & I share a smile. His eyes twinkle like the Devil’s full of wicked good humor. «Would you like a glass with that?» he asks as an after-thought. The smile droops off his face with his mustachio. «Hell yes.» I don’t know what kind of drool-faced barbarian drinks Guinness from a can but this Banzai’s Mama raised him to be a gentleman. Well, she tried her best anyways. I’ve heard enough good things about the Tender Glow to give it a second go around. All & all I’d have to say that the Tender Glow is a laid-back place to nurse a broken-heart. Beers & Tears, SLAINTE!!!

yeah, i’m gonna say the glow is not so tender. i mean, really, with a great name like that, you’d at least expect a modicum of subdued lighting, but no, this place was BRIGHT. too bright. it’s not like i’m looking for a beer goggles experience or anything like that. after all, i am with my fabulous mister. however, i do want there to be a contrast between the day outside and the day inside the bar. also, the air in glow was quite close. v. stuffy. drinks, though, were cheap(9.75 for a vodka tonic and a shot of jameson’s). an amusing side note – the bartender seemed confused about our IDs. how she could have thought my husband’s was mine and ask me about not being 6’2″(when i’m a full foot shorter and clearly designated as female on my license!) is a bit beyond me… chalk it all up to adventures in divebarring, and yes, it is a new and relatively underused gerund.

I give the tender glow 5 stars… Yeah it might not be the most classiest of places but dammit there are some good hearted people there… Tabitha and Mike are the shit! Two of the coolest bartenders I’ve had the pleasure in knowing… Some of the regulars are a little cooky but shit who isn’t? I love this place… I’ve been going there for years and I don’t plan on stopping…

I dig this place. It’s always a good place to go when you are done with all they hype, the crowds and the rowdy music. Tired of the meat markets and just want a great drink in where you can hear the person next to you? This place is just as good at 10am as it is at 1am. Mike at the bar will give you good tips on how to marinate your steak and chicken, as well as make you some special drinks. Tabatha is also great if you go on her shift. Great Dive, cool peeps, anytime is good.
