I had a quality experience with the service department last summer on a zero turn purchased from another business. Big Red’s handled all the communication with the manufacturer to ensure proper warranty coverage was provided. The great service experience is exactly why I returned to purchase a new Bad Boy CZT Series. The inventory & model options are second to none.

I’ve spent more time fixing this tractor than using it. It is now in the local mechanics shop for a blown head gasket and cracked heads. They have just informed me that there was no thermostat installed on the tractor and the alternator is bad. Tim B., I was told by the other owner Jodi, your father I assume, that the tractor had been checked out thoroughly and had no issues. What kind of checks do you do there? There was a bungie cord holding on the throttle lever(not mentioned in the photos or description when selling) that your mechanic was going to leave until I told him to fix it. The battery was dead when I tried to start it at your lot(also not mentioned when selling to me). I was told by your mechanic«Its ok, we’ll jump it and put it on the trailer for you». I had to argue with your service manager just to have a working battery put in the tractor even though YOUR mechanics had thoroughly checked it and there were supposedly no issues. Not being able to start the tractor is a big issue to me. Now I’m finding out that the tractor that y’all say is in good working condition with no issues, also has NO thermostat. Resulting in a blown head gasket and cracked head. The alternator also does not work which is minor at this point. Not to mention the hydraulic lines that leak profusely, the tire that needs air every week, oil leak, and electrical issues. Now Tim B. how do you propose we fix this? I’m almost positive you’re going to say that it was sold used as is, and that’s true. But I was mislead about the condition of this tractor from the beginning. Now I’m going to be around $ 2,000 in repairs for a $ 8,000 tractor that by your standards is in good working condition. This sounds pretty negligent on your part I would say.

I would give Big Red zero stars. My husband took our Hustler mower there to have some seals replaced in the hydro motor, a fairly simple job. When he got the mower home the seals still leaked and it appeared that one of the seals had not even been touched. All this for $ 320. They never return calls and were not helpful in resolving the problem. We will not be using their services in the future.

This business has horrible customer service! We were practically ignored for several minutes. Then, when we were finally able to get someone to speak with us(they run around looking very busy, not making eye contact), they couldn’t figure out who quoted us a price on the phone. The man that seemed to be in charge said he would go call the salesmen to find out exactly who quoted the price. We overheard them come back and tell him that they had in fact quoted us that price. However, he must not have liked the price we were quoted. So the response was to make phone calls and eat a bag of chips while ignoring us for another 20 minutes. We had enough and just left. I’m not going to work that hard to give someone my business. We’ll find a more respectful and respectable tractor dealer to do business with.

I took my power mower in for a spring tune-up and received a price-quote for the job. When I picked it up, I was charged substantially more than the quote, even though all maintenance was routine. When I questioned the service manager, he said that it had been a misunderstanding, but did not reduce the price. After a cable broke on the same mower, I once again took my mower in for service. I was quoted $ 14 for a replacement cable and was told that it would cost about $ 30 for labor. When I picked up my mower, I was charged $ 32 for the cable and $ 70 for labor. DONOTTRUST any estimates you receive from these people. They are not very honest. I will NOT return.
