This is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the price is as good as you’ll find. The AC worked well and kept the room comfortable. The fridge(with a separate freezer compartment!) was cold and the microwave was nice and new. The TV even has a DVD and VHS player built in. If you bring children, be sure to pack their favorite movie. The pool was clean and fenced. Check in was quick and polite, check out was the same. Breakfast was a bit of a bust(Sausage, biscuits and gravy, and premade waffles, no eggs), but it’s easy to eat in the area and the price of the room outweighs the lightweight breakfast. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

For the price it’s super solid! Only complaint is the breakfast, it is pretty sorry. I would recommend planning to eat somewhere else. They call if buffet style but it’s really slim pickings and nothing is fresh or good whatsoever…

First off I picked this hotel because of the previous reviews. I paid 50 before taxes were added and I was amazed at the price. I got a super clean room with a tv, microwave, fridge and freezer, hair dresser, iron and more. The people working here are very nice and the hotel is close to the square and the beach which is what I was interested in. Yes this isn’t a hilton and it doesn’t have a sleep number bed but it is a amazing price for a hotel that is clean and close. I haven’t checked out their breakfast yet but even if they give us cereal I will still be impressed.

This place is a steal! My husband and I stayed here one night for 65 bucks. I thought there has to be something wrong w this place! To my surprise it was comfortable and relaxing. The beds were soft. The place was clean! My only complaint is there was not an extra blanket. And the water temperature fluctuated to hot a few times in the shower. We will be back next time we visit Granbury.

Clean, pet friendly, free breakfast, free WiFi, has a clean pool, near downtown and highway. Trolly is free, runs downtown and by the public beach access for the lake. Prices are so reasonable you will almost feel like you cheated the owner. This is not a four star hotel. This is a nice, clean, family owned hotel. Great place to stay if you want to go to Historic Granbury, the Pistol Brewery, and spend your money shopping. Probably not the best place for people who want to hang around and enjoy the amenities. We will stay here again.

Meeting the owner and being able to understand him was great. He was extremely helpful. I am traveling with my wife, 4 kids(16,13,5,2 yrs old) and my giant schnauzer service dog. They gave us a great price on a king room and two queen room that are adjoining. I can’t say enough about the service and going out of their way to accommodate us. We will be back next year and plan to stay here again.

Free wi-fi. I think that was really the only upside besides the price for a last minute room. Beds were way too firm, the blankets were thin and scratchy. The room smelled like smoke and musk. Glad it was just a place to sleep before getting on the road again. Front desk had nice service though.

I am starting this review based on a visit to ‘see’ the place, since my family is in the planning stages for a family reunion. Here are my thoughts: Pros –Pets allowed and at $ 10 each per day, it is VERY reasonable. They prefer no cats due to allergies, and prefer small dogs, but it is case by case. –Free Wifi, and even offer a computer/scanner/printer in the lobby along with a few glass top tables(seat 4) and a seating area with a coffee table and 5 or so chairs.(coffee pots can be used and they sell soda there, too. –We saw a few rooms, very clean and a few are listed as ‘smoker rooms’ –They offer standard Inn and Motel style rooms with either a king or two double beds, vanity area and a separate toilet/shower space, a few suites that have a sitting area, whirlpool bath/shower and sink together, with a second sink/vanity open to the room –Pool/kiddie pools are clean, but the outdoor carpeting is gone and it has only concrete(different from their website photos) –Free hot breakfast for hotel guests –Peggy at the front desk is super sweet and they whole place is quite accomodating. — they allow you to use the large gas grill with a burner and oven and even provide the propane(«and propane accessories») or you may bring your own charcoal and use their small charcoal grill. –several cement tables with benches by the pool and in the grass behind the hotel. –large ice machine to fill coolers –refrigerator, coffee pot and microwave in every room — children 6 and under are free(and Peggy said the max per person in a given room DIDNOT include«babies», ask about the age to see if they count as a whole body or not) –they offer adjoining rooms(we saw a Deluxe King connected to a double Queen) –Kroger is a stones throw across a not so busy street, with LOTS of options for fast food and shopping near them. –There is a public beach just across the bridge from the hotel(same parking lot as the Hilton) that has small thatch umbrellas, sand, a snack shack. –Across Pearl St. from the beach, there is a LARGE pavillion with picnic tables and lots of parking –They accept Triple A –local trolley is free, stops at the hotel about every hour, will drop at the beach or downtown Granbury and runs until 11pm(forgot to ask the morning start time, since we aren’t early risers) Cons — This is a motel style place with all stairs, no evelvators and the large suites are all upsatirs. — They advertise as being ON the lake and they are NOT. there is an apartment complex between them and the water, and there is NO access from their lot to get into the water, no boat slip/ramp either –They offer 2 lake houses that are on the other side of the lake and back up to the water on a quiet cul de sac for rent that bookend the owners personal home. One two bedroom and one three bedroom. The 2 bedroom had a long term lease, so we did not look there, and the 3 bedroom has issues with the septic tank and can not allow for more than 6 people there at any one time. The owner did offer to allow you to tie up to his boat slip for a day or two, but if there long term it would not be okay. Personal opinion is if you pay for a house on the water, it is probably because you’d like to have people over… They should fix that septic tank! No pets or smoking in either house. –Only hotel guests are allowed in the pool for insurance reasons, which means if you rent a lake house from them you are NOT allowed.
