The staff has always been nice and ribs are ok but was really craving brisket after eating it at Risckys Saturday night, I bought a pound from spring creek since we obviously don’t have Risckys in Granbury and promptly returned it, I doubt my dog would eat that. Very dry, no flavor, yuck! If you want some real bbq try Risckys!

Ive heard from a man who used to work here as a cook say that he was fired because him and his coworkers pissed in the BBQ sauce on MULTIPLE occasions. Be aware of the cooks they hire.

When in during a weekday lunch. The chicken was dry beans bland and there were no rolls available to go with my meal. Needless to say they were unprepared. Service was slow, they just should’ve closed for business. Boo!

We had the chopped beef plate and the baked potato. Huge serving oh meat. The sides were delicious. The rolls were right out of the oven fresh. Would highly recommend.

Spring Creek Barbeque was one of the few places open in Granbury on a Sunday night. Overall, it was a 4, but I do want to give the staff a full 5 stars. From the greeter who met us at the door, to the polite young men behind the counter, and the especially the darling young lady who came by to offer us the incredibly delicious fresh bread, the service was exceptional. My fellow dinners enjoyed the brisket and my husband had the ham. They all enjoyed their meat selections. The baked beans, coleslaw and green beans were unremarkable. The macaroni and cheese was nicely done. The offering of fresh, hot bread was an added bonus to the generous portions of the meal which includes whatever gigantic portion of 2 sides you choose to load onto your plate.

Had ribs tonight, they are usually very lean and good, but they were kind of tough and fatty and the sauce had a strange flavor. Also had a salad that was strange tasting, left it. My wife had the same and we both agree on the review. They use to serve excellent ribs and the salad was always good. I don’t know why we had such a bad experience. They always had the best ribs in all of Granbury, we will give them one more try in a few weeks before we totally right them off.

Well I must say this was the worst place I been to since I have been here! I was jealous that my husband was getting BBQ for dinner tonight from the job so I went on a mission for some good olé Texas BBQ and all I got was the shaft!!! I went in and saw they sold by the pound or they had dinner plates well I thought I would get the combo plate to taste it all and this is what I got 2 slices of turkey about the side of a dollar bill folded in half 3 slices of brisket the size of a dollar folded twice now grant you both were about as thick as the knife that sliced them and 2 ribs the size of my middle finger that all together didnt weigh a quarter of a pound and in another box a bunch of fries! Now my beef OHWAITWHATBEEF? is why do I pay 13.25 for a quarter pd of meat and fries when the max of the meat is 13.85 a pd and a basket of fries is 3.85 I would have been better off buying it by the pd and 3.85 for the fries! THEN to top it off when I brought it to the cashiers attention he looked at it wrapped it up and handed it to me like OHWELLITISWHATITIS!!! GRRRRRRR So I am so pissed by this time I call the store manager while I am driving the 15 miles back to my hotel and he blows it off too! UNTIL I asked for his corporate’s number then he says I did not give him a chance to fix it!!! Are you kidding me??? I gave them a chance when I told the cashier in the first place!!! NOW I UNDERSTANDWHYSIEMANSGETSTHEIRBBQFROMDICKEYS!!! Oh and to top it all off it wasnt even that good!!! I am one unhappy girl!!!

I am about as picky as it gets when it comes to BBQ but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Springcreek. The meat is always consistently GREAT and the selection of sides is also nice too. But this particular Spring Creek had some of the BEST macaroni and cheese that I have had at a Spring Creek. It was cheesy, and creamy and delicious and for anyone who knows me, that is a huge deal for me. Affordable price, easy and relaxed atmosphere, great Staff! Don’t forget the continual table side delivery of FRESHHOTROLLS!

I’m not sure why people eat here when the Rib Shack is right up the road. I don’t know about other Spring Creek’s in the metroplex, but I have never had a really satisfying meal here(eaten twice). I can see why it appeals to families, as it’s served buffet style and thus easy to get in and out. But you’re in TX. You expect good brisket. Enough said.

The ribs and banana pudding were amazing. I felt they were a little under staffed. There was not someone readily available any of the 4 times I went to teh counter for something. Good food at a decent price.

Rib sauce was just okay(Ribs were just okay)…sides were very limited… the only thing that was good there were their homemade bread. Not impressed.

SpringCreek is a good place to go if you need to get in and get out. The food is already prepared and it’s served buffet style. The ribs and smoked turkey are the best meats. My girls usually share a sausage plate and it is more than enough for the two of them! They also offer pepper sausage and it is a nice change from just plain. They bake their rolls fresh and pass them out hot straight from the oven! They do a lot of spirit nights for my daughters school and we definitely appreciate them being community oriented.

SpringCreek is an average BBQ restaurant. The sliced beef was only okay. The black pepper sausage was different and pretty tasty though. Their BBQ sauce is decent but nothing to write home about; a little sweet, a little smokey. The staff was pretty laid back and came around offering hot fresh rolls periodically. The Food: I was generally pleased with the sliced beef and the black pepper sausage was a unique item that I haven’t seen before. I wouldn’t have eaten either meat without the sauce as it was a little too dry for my taste. I also tried the baked beans which were okay and the macaroni & cheese which was enjoyable. The Verdict: I would go back to SpringCreek BBQ, because even though it’s a chain restaurant, it has decent enough quality throughout all of it’s locations. If there is a unique local BBQ joint I would go there instead, but SpringCreek was good.

Had lunch there today. We didn’t arrive till after 2 and the lunch specials were over. We both had the rib plate and FF and Okra baskets. All in all it was ok, but nothing to brag about. Ribs were fatty and tough. FF and okra was very good. Chocolate pie was good! The rolls were the best part of the meal. Staff was very friendly! Kinda pricey though!

We weren’t sure what to eat one day for lunch and ended up at Spring Creek. I had a hard time deciding what to get here but ended up with the turkey breast sandwich and a side of fries. The turkey was super moist and flavorful. I was happily surprised! The bf had the beef sandwich which he said was ok, I liked the turkey better. At one point a server came by our table to hand us freshly baked rolls. After I had one, I wished she had never left. Those rolls are effing good, what do they put in them?! I should have snuck a handful of them into my bag… sigh. Decent prices.

No kid-sized meals for this girl! I asked if I could sneak past the«12 and under» restriction and was promptly told no :( However, they did offer to cut a smaller portion of meat for me and told me I could pick one to two sides for ‘around the same price.‘ I went with a quarter of the chicken and two sides: beans and coleslaw. The flavor of the coleslaw has improved, but just a tad too sweet for my taste. The beans were better when I added chopped red onion to them. Customer service was spot on, and we were regularly asked if we wanted fresh rolls. Next time, I think I’ll opt for one side and make my own little sammie with a roll and choice of meat. After all was said and done, my meal came out to around $ 6.50 — $ 1.25 over the kids meal price. Not bad!

OK, so I am usually not a huge fan of chain restaurants, especially when it comes to cuisine that the locals have down pat, but every so often I make an exception. And Spring Creek is one of those exceptions. Located right in the middle of Granbury on Hwy 377, Spring Creek is one of the newer restaurants that, in the relatively short time it has been open, has become really popular with both locals and visitors alike. And it’s for a simple reason — the bbq is actually really good. Perfectly smoked brisket, juicy sausage, and falling-off-the bone ribs are just three reasons to give Spring Creek a try. A few others are the creamy mac-n-cheese, the cole slaw, the hot rolls, the exquisitely crispy french fries and the ice — and I do mean ICE — cold drinks. As with most places in this cool little city, the atmosphere is relaxed and service is friendly… although I will admit I am glad the guys behind the counter no longer sing your order out loud. That was a bit much.
