Swanny’s BBQ & Steakhouse

Had dinner last night with friends (8) waitstaff was good. I found it hard to believe three of us had to change our order because on a early Friday evening the restaurant was out of baked potatoes
— come on — any place can bake a potato in a microwave
The «chicken breast «was dry, small, and uneventful for the price. My salad was plain chopped lettuce– my chopped steak was tasty — but was supposed to have mushrooms and onions — not– another person had bbq turkey and it was very dry —
No love in the serving of any of the food
Not worth going back and I useally try a place three times

I went there with my family on Tuesday evening… we were in the mood to have BBQ and try a new place for us. My fiancé and I shared a 3 meat BBQ plate and I was looking forward to some good food! Unfortunately each meat we ordered was extremely dry. Turkey was so dry it broke into pieces on our tray. We had brisket and sausage as well and while the flavor was good, they were also the driest I’ve ever seen… almost inedible for all of it besides salad. I’m sorry to write this post because our waitress was the friendliest and most helpful lady and I would like to have another good spot in Granbury but I can’t give it a good review based on my experience.

This place rocks & if you don’t think so, you are wrong. You need to embrace it. It’s the least pretentious restaurant possibly ever & that’s a huge compliment. The staff are laid back, nice, yet attentive. The brisket is fabulous, I hope they never change it. The karaōke is hilarious & entertaining. The food is wonderful. We will come back often before we move to California.

Great wait staff and very friendly. The ribs were a little dry but very flavorful. The smoked turkey was really moist. I think it’s got a lot of potential.

I had dinner there earlier this evening. Was not impressed. I first ordered a house salad with blue cheese dressing. They DROWNED my salad with dressing. I ordered the Prime Rib French Dip Sandwich as my meal and it was very dry and crispy (burnt) on the edges. The waitress took forever to bring my drinks. I ordered a frozen strawberry margarita, which was okay at best. I then ordered a cranberry vodka and that was slightly better. My mother ordered the 2 meat plate. The sausage was okay but the brisket was extremely dry. Was not impressed by the garlic mashed potatoes either. It just so happens to be my birthday so they brought out a chocolate cake for me on the house. It tasted like burnt plastic. Needless to say, it will take a lot for me to end up going back.

I had a $ 10 off coupon so I thought we would try this rib and steak place. I don’t eat steak out much but I do like to try ribs out.
Our server took our drink order (water) as she seated us then brought the menus and water. When we ordered I asked her if they had Revolver (local) on tap, she said yes. Well she came back and said they didn’t but they had it in bottles. I declined. She said they could put it in a glass. I declined and she offered no suggestion as to what they had on tap. Later while waiting on a nearby table she offered other brands on tap, I stuck with water.
I have never had boneless ribs b4 but both of our ribs had no bones. If not for the sauce on them there would have been no taste to them.
You should know I do not eat out often and I live a mile from the restaurant but I won’t be back.

Had dinner there last night for the first time and it was ok BBQ I had the 2 meat plate with brisket and sausage which comes with 2 sides I had fries and fried okra. The brisket was just ok at best it lacked something to set it apart from just anything and the sausage was good but not much smoke on it and it left some room for improvement. Both meats were served border line cold which really takes away from the taste as well. My gf had the chicken and chopped beef and said the same thing. Umm our meals were 12.99 each and they have a steak menu but when I asked our waitress about how there steaks were she said there ok lol so I definitely wasn’t going to order a steak at 23.00 starting out. If your gonna do BBQ and steaks you just gotta do it better than this. To many better options close by! BBQ on the Brazos and Spring Creek BBQ.

About 3 weeks ago we stopped in for our first time to grab lunch & were glad that we did. The BBQ was good & we liked that they offered both a sweet or a spicy sauce.
Tonight we took the kids with us for dinner & again we were glad that we went. My sons had the prime rib & it was cooked to perfection, my husband enjoyed the chicken fried steak & i had the cobb salad. Everything was delicious & the service was great too!
We will definitely make it a regular stop from now on!

We went for lunch and the food was decent. I had the Pulled Pork sandwich with potato salad and my SO had the Beef Brisket with cole slaw. Both sided were fair. The margaritas were tasty, good portion and cold! The service was really fast and friendly, too. Next time, might come back in the evening time and sit on the outside patio; it was too hot to when we had lunch.

We went for our first time a few days ago and not a bad thing to say. It was a beautiful day on their rustic-​styled patio, excellent & attentive service, delish food and even friendly patrons on both sides of us. Husband had the 3 meat BBQ plate (ribs, sausage and brisket) and I had the brisket nachos. It ALL was soooo good! Our toddler sons split the ‘burger bites’ and the fries had a great seasoning on them and the mini burgers were even handmade (not lil round frozen things). Overall we had a very enjoyable and FILLING meal (they do not scrimp! Your meals also include rolls & butter beforehand). We’ll absolutely be back and I’m hoping to write another positive review!
