You stand in line to order food and soft drinks, are given a pager to go and get your food, and this process is ok, given they do not have full waiter staff. However, to get alcohol you have to go to the bar and stand in line in an area that is way to small, and is very confusing. If you walk up to the bar, you are told to go get in line (actually quite rude), unless you sit down and basically demand to be served there. Now it was crowded, and was Taco Tuesday night, but this is disorganized enough for me not to go back.
This place has a great location, good food, and atmosphere, but it is time to take a class in restaurant management. Alcohol is your highest profit margin, so you want this to be as easy and pleasant as possible.

This is the go to place in Granbury and on the lake. By land or sea some of the best food and also very well run restaurant, bar, and full marina. Taco Tuesday is great and all other food is equally good. Best hamburgers, fried and grilled fish, salads. And beautiful hardworking bartenders with happy hours and a huge list of margaritas. Been my favorite since it opened. And I live 20 minutes away by land and an hour by the River and Lake. It does get busy but they handle it better than any place I’ve been. Worst thing is you might have to spend a few minutes out on the huge deck with a cold beer or marg. enjoying the view.

Ok so this place would get 3 stars alone for being on Lake Granbury and allowing dogs on the patios. The drinks are crazy cheap. (I guess I am used to Dallas prices) $ 3.50 for a giant Revolver beer? I’ll take it. We had chicken and grilled shrimp tacos as well. The shrimp is better. The concept is confusing if it is your first time. The line to order food was insane and did not move very fast. This was on a Saturday around 6pm. You don’t have a waiter, you walk in, order and then they give you a buzzer. wait times for food were pretty long as well. The place is cool though, especially after a long day on the lake.

Great seafood and stuff, and great atmosphere out on the lake. We had the shrimp/​catfish combo platter, fried cod, and a house salad with grilled shrimp. All very good… worth the visit if you’re in town.

Loved the atmosphere! Fun place to go! Next time we’ll take the kids! We ordered the cod and fries. It was cooked well and came with home made tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. The fries nothing to write home about. The patio was really nice and lakeside. Ducks and fish were floating around and loved to be fed. Great family atmosphere!

In Granbury for weekend with parents. We’re avid Dallas Stars fans and needed a place to watch playoff game. Jennifer the day manager made sure all the tvs were tuned to the game. Food was awesome. Best shrimp I’ve eaten and prickly pear margarita was sooo good!

The Stumpy’s location has been through many different food offerings over the years, but I think we finally have a success. They specialize in tacos and do a great job. There are still a few kinks to work out with the computer systems, speed of order-​taking, and the kitchen mixed up a bunch of orders a few mornings ago, but on other visits, they’ve been on top of it, so I’ll overlook a few glitches. The food it very good. The environment is fun. The bar is cool. And the location on the lake is great for the summer!

I was looking so forward to checking this place out. The first thing that turned me off they served me half a beer. I ordered s beer with salt and lime, the salt was barely on the glass and the most of the beer was missing. If you’re going to serve half a beer, charge half the price!

Best place to eat in Granbury, hands down! We’ve recently relocated to Granbury and we are so happy to have found this little gem. The tacos here are amazing. We’ve tried them all and the shrimp and pollo furioso are our favorites. Make sure to visit on Taco Tuesday for $ 2 tacos. This will be a family tradition for us for sure! Thanks, Stumpy’s for being awesome.

They offer a unique ordering process, full bar, lots of shaded outdoor seating on the lake.
Very family oriented and priced reasonably for a lake restaurant.

I ordered a Po boy with grilled shrimp. Came with French fries and hush puppies. My friend had the grilled shrimp basket with fries and hush puppies. The shrimp had a weird taste to it. French fries and hush puppies were good. I wouldn’t order it again. The orders are taken upfront at the register what is kinda strange. We had to go all the way back upfront to order. Cool place!

Stumpy’s is fantastic! Love the shrimp, tacos, fries, and everything else I’ve tried. The free chips and salsa is nice. Love the outdoor seating, and it’s fun to feed the carp. This is a solid mom and pop shop!

Fish tacos, burgers great salads, cold beer, BBQ on Fridays free chips and salsa plus good margaritas. Nice dock with gas and covered outdoor patio on the lake. Bet I’ve here close to 50 times and never had a bad meal or service. To me that’s 5 stars.

Love this place! Awesome food and nice staff. Theres not a marina/​restaurant at this quality anywhere else in Granbury. I love the chicken sandwich, my husband loves the fish tacos and my father in law loves rib Friday’s. Free chips and yummy salsa. See Shelby at the bar and she will take care of you-​sweet girl.
We had our boat docked here and now our jet ski (which we purchased from them). The owner, Rick, and his wife are friendly and have a great business. I’m so happy the water is back up and everyone can enjoy the lake! :)

Great place to go after a day on the lake. The buffalo chicken Cesar tacos are AWESOME! Make sure you get plenty of chipotle mayo. Has a good atmosphere, good food, good drinks. We visit this place every chance we get.

Better than we expected. Food was very good, lots of seating. Staff was friendly and attentive just like other reviews had said. We will go back next time we are in Granbury. Can’t believe we have never been to Stumpys in all the times we have been to Granbury!!!
