I went here on a whim, and I’m glad I went. We ate off the breakfast menu. There was nothing that was out of the norm, just a generic breakfast menu. However, even though the menu is simple, they do it right.

Great food but do not be in a hurry. We were a party of 2 on Sunday morning and t hey had one server to take orders, clear tabkes, refill drinks, take payments, and deliver the food. Poor management. Could be a great restaurant. And we are locals.

Really good diner food and friendly service. I had the beef burrito with red chili and it was great! I don’t get through here often, but when I do, I’ll stop here again.

Food was mediocre and service was not great. The outside looks very uninviting for a family. The inside isn’t much better. Seems the place could use a good deep cleaning at a minimum. When she brought the blueberry pancake, I politely pointed out there were no blueberries in it. With no apology or offer to make it with the blueberries inside as it should’ve been, she proceeded to bring a small side of blueberries. There were never an offer to refill my coffee cup that sat empty. And it took too long for them to bring back my credit card when I was trying to pay the bill and get out of that place. I would never go back to this place. At least there was no wait to be seated!

This place was such a great surprise! The outside is completely deceiving, for it looks a little run down and older. Inside I found a delightful menu with all of the breakfast staples: eggs bene, corned beef hash, burritos, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, etc. The bene was exactly how I wanted it. They toast the English muffin well which is important to me… The only downsides were that the service was a little slow, but to be fair they seemed pretty slammed. Friendly service nonetheless… And they don’t serve mimosas. I highly recommend this place and will absolutely be back when I’m in the area. Funky little interior too. Complete win in Grandby!

Noon thirty on a Saturday brought me here as I departed a four-day Lake Granby Rocky Mountain adventure for home. The Chuck Wagon called to me like a beacon of light and hope and hearth. I walked in the door to rustic décor. The smell of all day breakfasts filled me nostrils. After sucking down applesauce, instant coffee and cup o noodles for four days the hearty sustenance was what I required. I acquired it via biscuits and gravy, bacon and black coffee. It was standard B&G. Filling. Stout. Yummy om nom. The menu has a ‘New American’ selection but breakfasts was controlling my actions on a subatomic scale. The service was slow, but I was in no rush. There was only one wait staff who doubled as the buser and cashier. They did a grand job despite the circumstances. If in the area I would recommend it as it is further out town where the jewels of restaurants always reside. Go. You’ll be glad you did.

Looking for inexpensive cocktails and NFL games on TV can be a real pain in touristy mountain towns. Granby has a little gem in the Chuck Wagon. Here the pitchers are huge and priced like any self respecting dive bars in Denver. Our bartender Pat always made sure we were sated and the games were on modern flat screens unlike the place just up the street with their 25 year old 24″ sets. We have yet to try the chow but the word is large, tasty meals again, at reasonable prices. If you’re not into the tourist vibe of a $ 308oz sirloin and a $ 6 Bud bottle, this just might be your place. We love to drink where the locals drink.

We had the awesome blueberry pancakes and breakfast skillet. Very good price. Very unique place. It looks rundown from the outside but the inside is nice and takes you back in the old western days.
