Really a great place. Sit on the dining side for a family friendly experience, or sit on bar side to watch the game or hang out for adult time. There are top shelf cocktail options, a decent selection of beer and you can custom make a burger from a solid list of ingredients. The bun, burger, cheese and toppings are all top quality. The only real complaint is that my burger was excessively greasy, which really sogged the high quality bun. But that is way better than dry I suppose. Perhaps a little leaner beef would help? Service was great(Shelby) and the price was really reasonable. The Cajun seasoning is great on fries and the Sante Fe Chipotle is really good– a true chipotle flavor similar to smoked poblano. I’ll return often when in town for travels.

For the cost of the food rather disappointed, the fries came out soggy and the burger was rather bland. Doubt i would return any time soon but would consider trying it again after a long time. Maybe they will get some better cooks in the future.

I love Bagger Dave’s generally. Not tonight. Mistakes on food order, over cooked burgers, mistake on bill. Sadly, won’t go back to this BD’s again!

Probably my favorite burger joint. I love their Bagger Bowls — hamburger without a bun in a bed of fresh lettuce. Yum!

This was my first experience at this Michigan chain. There is a lot to like. Local company, locally sourced food, ect. Most of the food was good. I had the bacon cheeseburger with twist mac and cheese. The burger was good and put together well flavor wise. The twisted mac I had high hopes for. It was okay but not as amazing as I was anticipating from the description on the menu. The bf got the sloppy Dave grilled cheese and fries. He enjoyed both. I tried the fries the were good. The reason this didn’t get at least 4 stars was because the service was lacking. Our waitress was busy with a big table and gave us to a waiter that kept forgetting about us. The manager brought our drinks. The hostess brought our food and we had to track down another waitress for a pen to sign our bill. Might be back to a bagger Dave’s… just probably not this location

I’ve not been here in a while, so this review will be off my admittedly shaky memory. I’ll keep it short and sweet. Ordered a burger and fries. Both were good. At least four stars by themselves. Ordered a soft drink and sampled some of them. Their soft drinks, which they apparently make themselves, are simply not that good. Yeah the cola isn’t going to be better than Coke. That goes without saying. But their orange cream soda is just weak. As in watery. Blech. It’s been over a year since I’ve been there, maybe it’s been improved. Fingers crossed…

It is a chain and for what they have ok. I am not a fan of the fries or any of the food but the service was good. I wish they had healthier options but it is a burger chain so I’m really asking for too much I know.

Been here twice now, and all I have to say is that their prices are just way higher than the quality of the food(which is just slightly better than fast food quality). The original sodas are actually pretty good, and they have a fairly good selection… and probably the only reason why I give them a 2 instead of a 1.

All the other reviews are so wrong about this place. The burgers were amazing. Everything is from close fresh farms, most in Michigan. All beers on tap were from Michigan breweries. The bartender knew the entire menu and knew her beer really well. Conversation with our bartender was fun and she kept us happy. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially when they source their product locally.

I think it great they have michigan craft beer and their burgers are good. It usually a long wait there but they always make up for it.

I’m not to sure about Bagger Dave’s yet. I did have a good customer service experience. I tried something on their menu, which I didn’t like… the server was very helpful about replacing the item with something else that I did enjoy much more. She was really, really very nice about it, which made me feel better as I nearly never send food back. I think I need to go back and try some other items. I ended up with a burger with the toppings I chose and sweet potato chips with the honey cinnamon sauce. My husband had a burger with everything on it(I cant remember the name of it, but it had an egg and fries on it). We both enjoyed our meals, but I would like to go back and form a more definite opinion of whether this is my type of restaurant or not.

Ran into this place while I was headed to my hotel. They have craft beers and a variety of mixed drinks. But almost all were fruity and too sweet. My burger can with a pickle although I asked specifically not to. The waitress was very courteous when I said that my beer was too sweet and took it back although the bottle was opened for me. Sweet potato fries were average Overall okay, but might not be able to strongly recommend except to craft beer lovers of the adventurous kind.

We stopped here on our way to the upper peninsula. It was a Friday night but no one seemed to know what they were doing. It took about 20 minutes to get our drinks and order taken. I ordered the house salad entrée without cheese and it arrived with cheese on top. I told the server I ordered it without cheese and she took it back to the kitchen. It came back 5 minutes later but it was clear that someone just grabbed the cheese off the top because there was cheese all through the salad. My son didn’t get the bacon he ordered on his burger and the twisted mac n cheese was terrible. The menu and theme of this restaurant is good, I just think there a lot of inexperienced folks working at this establishment so the dining experience is less than satisfactory. Some bus tubs would be helpful to clear off tables quicker opposed to carrying everything individually to the kitchen.

It’s not a bad place; it’s just inconsistent. Depending on what day you go, and who waits on you, your experience can be as good as 5 or as bad as 1. I’ve been more than a hand full of times now, and have to say overall, the place is a solid 3 stars. They really do the burgers on their menu really well, but if you craft your own, the quality and flavor are drastically different. It is night and day unfortunately. So, if you’re in the mood for a burger, go with the existing ones. Because of that, I find the concept of the restaurant is rather 1-dimensional, and so, for overall value, you’re not really getting that much bang for your buck. With fries being an additional $ 3.50, it can get to be an expensive casual meal. You can alternatively get a single patty for any of the burgers, but if you’re feeling hungry, it might not be enough. Tip: Subscribe to their newsletter and events to receive discount coupons to your email. Some are actually pretty good! Their appetizers are pretty overpriced. Both in portion, and flavor, it just doesn’t taste good. Probably the best one out of the bunch(if you had to order) would be the Santa Fe Nachos. I also feel that their desserts are messy, sloppy, and not unique enough to order and pay for $ 8+. Their Artichoke Turkey Burger is good, and each time we’ve ordered it, have really liked it. Their American Cheeseburger is good, but inconsistent. Overall, it’s more of an upscale take on burgers, but honestly, with the addition of booze and cool environment to lounge in, there’s nothing else that really separates it from other places. I’ll still come back in a pinch, but it’s definitely not on my regular rotation of places.

We chose this because it was near the theater — so didn’t know what to expect. We were delightfully surprised. Our server, Greg, was fantastic in every way. I have to be careful when I eat red meat(which is not very often) — and the Burger was excellent. It was nice to have so many choices of bun types and toppings. We shared their Sweet Potato chips — yum! I had a Red Velvet cupcake and it was SO good — the cream cheese frosting was light and not super sweet, which was perfect. The only reason I didn’t give five starts is due to the HFCS in their sodas. I was happy that they don’t sell coke/pepsi and was looking forward to a cherry ice cream soda, but won’t eat or drink HFCS — the lemonade has HFCS as well. I hope they change this.

When we walked in the hostess was more interested in chatting with the waiter as opposed to acknowledging that we were standing in front of her. After a hot minute we were seated. Our waitress, who I’m sure shouldn’t be doing this as her line of work was not friendly, very short with us, and had zero personality. She was a real pleasure when she told us that fries don’t come with the burger. that’s an extra $ 3.50.eek! My boyfriend got the Great American Cheeseburger with bacon and an egg on it, with no condiments. What he got was that but with condiments and he was not thrilled with the mustard and ketchup mixing with the egg flavor. It was a dripping mess. he had to bust out a fork to eat most of it. I got the Sante Fe Nachos with chicken(I wasn’t feeling a burger that night). I can’t have onions so I omitted the Pico so it basically ended up being a head of shredded lettuce, chopped up cubes of chicken with some liquid cheese on some Tostitos. It wasn’t good. Let me tell you about the atmosphere! It’s pretty tight in there and bright. I could hear EVERY conversation going on with the tables around me. The couple behind me were fighting and all I heard was Fu*k you! I hate you! yadda, yadda, yadda. super uncomfortable. The table next to me couldn’t decided for the life of them what they wanted. I heard the great debate going on for at least 20 minutes. I couldn’t wait to get out of there! I really don’t see the fascination with the place… I won’t be back.

I’m new to town and came here with some co-workers for dinner. I ordered the mac and cheese with a twist and it was great. The dish included some pepper and a couple of other spices which really gave it a nice kick. Highly recommended! I did take off a star though because our waiter was not very attentive to our table(slow to ask for refills, etc.) and at the end of the meal there were a lot of extra items on our bill which we didn’t order. Granted the manager was able to correct the problem, it really shouldn’t be that difficult to compile an accurate bill.

The service is great :) we were welcomed and seated immediately with a smile! Drinks were fast! Me and my husband ordered a tuscan chicken sandwich and a tomato, basil, cheese, onion sandwich and he created his own fries. I love the regular fries with buttermilk ranch! My sandwich was on «sourdough» which looked like white bread. Very bland just needed some salt. Basil was not chopped and there was 1 or 2 leaves per half and they both came out of the sandwich in one bite. I didn’t think a grilled cheese with a LITTLE bit of veggies should be 7 dollars! Fries are a separate price! The chicken sandwich was tasty. But the chicken was so thick and we didn’t know if it was cooked all the way. Took it off the 8 dollar sandwich. The fries had cheese, onions, pickles, ranch, and tomatoes. All good except there was literally two huge tomato slices placed on top of the fries. Seriously? How are we going to eat that? My husband likes tomatoes so he ate them separate. But how hard is it to realize the tomatoes should be chopped? I don’t get it. The other two times i was here and i ordered a burger. I do not understand why they ask how you want it cooked because no matter what it comes out very well done. Very overpriced for what they offer. Wont be back. Service was great :)

Went in for a late lunch, it wasn’t busy at all. Initially there was no one to greet us and seat us immediately. As we were finally seated there seemed to be some confusion of which waitstaff would be serving us, so the host took our drink order. Once we received our drinks, my wife noticed that there was a residue inside her glass of pop and asked the waiter if she could have a new glass. There wasn’t any apology and we waited about 5 minutes before he brought her a new pop. I really feel for the portion sizes and the quality of the burgers that they are way over priced. There are much better options out there.
