I have been to the Ale house a few times in the past. This visit was to take my daughter from out of town to dinner. We happened to make it in on Super bowl Sunday so it was rather busy and loud but that was to be expected. I had the Brie apple chicken paired with sweet potato fries. I liked both items however; together it can be a little too sweet. The cajun jerk chicken and quinoa my wife had was exceptionally spicy yet tasty. One of my girls had the cheeseburger(which was less than average) and the other a turkey sandwich and sweet potato fries which she seemed to enjoy. Dessert was a pecan bar that we all shared. The vanilla bean ice cream was great but the pecan bar itself was less than desirable as I have made better from a box. The main reason for the 3 stars was the service or lack there of, not to mention on the way out we passed a waitress and a hostess who never looked our way. In the customer service industry you always bid farewell to your customers and leave that last impression on their mind.

Crap service, food was meh, and the drinks overpriced. Pretty much a disappointment.

I have been to the Ale House three times. The burgers are probably in the top five in town at least and the shrimp tacos are great. The craft beer selection is fantastic and the bartenders are knowledgable guides to help pair your beverage with your meal and attitude. I really like the open feel to the bar area and staff is always polite and fun. Great place.

Terrible service. Went on a slow night still took them 20 minutes to seat us Took the waitress another 15 minutes to take drink orders. Don’t know how the food was, we left.

We seemed to be a huge inconvenience to the bartender. We dared to inquire how long the restaurant had been part of Breckenridge only to receive a snide comment about it having ALWAYS been one. Sorry we were such a bother.

Nice ambience, service was ok, food was ok only. Ordered Smoked chicken pot pie and salad($ 8.50) ~ pot pie is average, need more flavoring ~ salad sauce wasn’t to my liking, the vinegarette and raspberry sauce is too thick, doesn’t goes well with the salad Steak and stout straganoff($ 16) ~ grilled beef with pasta lack of flavor Cream of mushroom soup($ 3) ~ pretty good Beef Tortilla soup($ 3) ~ not good at all, don’t order

We came with a group of friends to watch the Broncos game on a Monday night football. The beer was good but I wish they had flights were i can choose the beer instead of having them choosing it for me. We had the artichoke dip, chips and salsa, and the vegetarians green chile for appetizer. For dinner my husband shared a pizza and i got the 50⁄50 burger with a black been patty. Everything tasted good and the staff was very friendly.

Below average in every way — food, service, ambience, cleanliness. Big disappointment. Our server brought us our drink order and then promptly disappeared. After 15 minutes we flagged down another server to try and get our drinks refilled as well as place our food order. This was apparently a HUGE inconvenience. I realize this was not our assigned server and that she had other tables to attend to, however it was not our problem that no one was waiting on us. Our food order was put in and we waited and waited, nearly 25 minutes. Just unacceptable considering the dining area was barely half full. My guess is that this was not the fault of the kitchen but rather that our server had once again pulled a disappearing act. Our food was not what we expected. Cold, badly seasoned, and as I mentioned, late. We won’t be back. This was our first and last visit.

Christine our waitress was so nice. She made our entire night after a long drive in bad weather. They were closing early and the hostess reminded us a few times cause we arrived at 9:00. But Christine was so nice and offered us another round and told us to take our time. We had great food and beer. Definitely the Rueben when you go. It was fresh not soggy and amazing. My husband had the bison burger and loved it. Definitely will visit again on our way through.

I guess the food would have been good, but after the bartender served up the couple that came in after me and walked past me twice, I left. I decided being ignored wasn’t my pint of beer.

Amazing beer selection. Consistently great service. Having eaten here regularly for many years, I would say the food can be great at times and mediocre sometimes. The chef special /feature of the day always seems to be a solid choice.

Came here because I read they have a good tap selection and they have the nfl ticket. Good beers and good food too. Thai peanut skewers are amazing! After the first trip we came back for those skewers! I got the chicken pot pie which was very reasonably priced.

I will start by saying I am not a beer drinker, but I am a fan of drinking. This place is really good however can be busy depending on the day of the week. I found it is rarely busy for lunch, but they lack a lunch menu. Perhaps their missing lunch menu and lunch prices is one reason it isn’t busy for lunch. They have great food though, tried their nachos as an app and they were really good. I like the burgers, I have tried most and none are a bad choice. I haven’t had deserts here but they sound really good on the menu. Not really kid friendly, but we have taken my niece here.

Consistent and has a great variety on their menu. Always a good choice to take clients or have a happy hour drink. My one complaint is that they always seem to take my favorite items off the menu.

The Ale House was much better than anticipated. We got there just before happy hour ended, so we were able to get a couple Breckenridge beers for $ 3(although not huge fans of Breckenridge) and a quesadilla on happy hour. This quesadilla was very, very good. It was deep fried and had a sriarcha dipping sauce. Definitely recommend getting this. I ordered the texmex salad with skirt steak for dinner. I swapped out the avocado for some extra sour cream(can’t do the avocado! Personal issue…) and got the southwest style ranch salad dressing on the side. It was a great salad! My boyfriend ordered the 50⁄50 burger which it half bacon half burger. He said it was delicious. We toyed around with the idea of getting dessert, but were both stuffed. We settled on a cider to finish off the night. Just wish it were a different brewery represented than Breckenridge. Nothing personal, just not a favorite!

When you arrive in grand junction you are impressed by the scenery and less impressed with your immediate accommodation offerings. Thank Moses for Unilocal.Enter Ale House. This place was jumping! Absolutely packed on a Saturday night. Totally a place you’d want to hang with adult friends and spouses etc. Not so good for kids as the patrons were tipsy and very loud in their use of strings of expletives. The food was solid, the carbonara mac and cheese was very good, as was the French dip, and I ordered the chicken skewers and side salad and was Dupri sedan how fresh and delicious each were. Solid fun place for a meal and night on the town [in Grand Junctiom]

The Ale House was very nice. Being a person who does not normally drink beer, I was able to find a beer on tap that I really enjoyed(Breckinridge Agave Wheat). We’re from out of town and knew nothing about the area. The bartender on duty, Dustin, was extremely nice and knowledgable not only about their beers and menu but gave us insight about what to do around town. I had the Elk Meatloaf. Being from Texas, elk is not something on the menu. It was actually very good! I would recommend it! This bar has live music during the weeknights and weekend nights. It was very clean and nicely set up. Definitely a place we’re going back to this week!

Ian waited on us and was prompt and polite ! Love it when employees like what they do ! Had an apricot blonde — delicious, ordered chix pot pie and 50⁄50 burger — all very delicious. Then we topped it off with mud pie — whoa, pace yourself with dinner if you want this sweet item, it’s HUGE ! Again — great service and great atmosphere ! Highly recommend and we’ll be back !!
