Awesome equipment selection and friendly and helpful staff. I’ve used a lot of gyms in the valley including some local ones and this gym is hands down more personal than any other in town. Small town people tend to avoid franchises, but being the best is not being done at a national level its done by the staff at the gym.

Upon moving to Grand Junction, I wasn’t very eager to join Gold’s Gym, as I was a 24 hour fitness fan. However, this gym is fantastic. The initial free week was easy to set up and signing a contract was pleasant and hassle-free. This gym is kept in great condition, overall, and while there are the occasional broken machines or things that need repaired, this is one of the nicer gyms I have ever belonged to. Cardio machines are plentiful, the organization of the gym is nice and not crowded, the cardio theater is a great idea(though I don’t personally use it), and the pool/sauna area is nice and clean. I also appreciate how bright and warm the inside décor is, as some gyms are very dark and warehouse-like. I’ve only taken a few classes but they were all well-run and enjoyable to attend. And the smoothie bar is an added bonus.

There’s a reason that gold’s is an ICON. They are knowledgeable and friendly. The Clifton gold’s is closer, but I go here because the Epresso bikes are online. whereas the Clifton Gold’s aren’t. The people in both are great, but this one is just more comprehensive in equipment.

This is no joke. i drive an hour to and from the gym when i have the chance. Since i’ve moved to Glenwood springs, CO, i missed the gyms that were more professional, equipped well, spacious, great ventilation, and huge. If you’re looking for a gym that has everything, splurge every once in a while, and head out to Golds. There’s nothing like this gym in Silt, Rifle, Parachute, Glenwood Springs, or New Castle. Believe me, i’ve tried pretty much every gym in these locations. They cost more, and not as well outfitted. For convenience, i work out in one of the gyms in town which is pricey compared to the franchises. But during the weekend, or holiday, Golds in Clifton or Grand Junction are where i get a much better workout due to their much more expansive equipment.

The gym itself was clean, the classes were well taught and plentiful. BUT, I moved out of the area 2 months ago and cancelled my membership. That was a cumbersome process that required proof of my new address. I have provided the information TWO months ago and I am due a refund. I called the company handling the gym membership and they assured me that my membership was cancelled and that information had been forwarded to the Gold’s Gym in Grand Junction. So, I called the GJ Gold’s gym and spoke with a manager and was told that everything was«in order» but that the refund needed to be processed through corporate and I should see the refund check in about a week. NOREFUND check 2 ½ weeks later. I cannot recommend this gym if this is how they run their business.

I wanted to try this gym while I was on a vacation to Grand Junction, CO last winter. The staff was very friendly and professional and was very happy to set me up with a 14 day gym access. The gym had an excellent equipment, a smoothie shop on premises, a cinema with cardio machines, swimming pool, dry sauna, jacuzzi and group classes. This location was very well maintained and I made few friend there. I really recommend this gym to every one.
