Well… I am by no means an expert on Banh Mi buuuut I thought this place was pretty good! Lots of options, a bit pricier at $ 3.50 + per sandwich, but I love the option of adding a fried egg for $ 1. Having that runny yolk drip into the rest of my sandwich was wonderful! I am a sucker for eggs so maybe that’s why I liked this place more than others lol. I also order their 3 for $ 1 egg rolls and I thought they were pretty good too. I went on a Sunday afternoon and I also had to wait a good 10 min before getting our 2 sandwiches. The ladies working the counter were kinda slow but I suppose I was in a good mood and I wasn’t starving so I had a lot more patience than I usually do. My sandwich was really good! I had the shredded pork skin and my friend had the pork special combination. Both with additional fried egg, and both super yummy! The bread was fresh and crispy when we got ours too. The aftermath of my meal was pretty messy what with the crumbs and egg yolk. Pretty sure I got awkward stares bc of it. FYI it’s $ 10 minimum purchase for debit/credit card. Otherwise use cash. They still have the buy 5, get 1 free too, so would like to come here with a 3rd person for 2 sandwiches each(even though 1 sandwich filled me up just fine). I really like the Vietnamese mayo and liver pâté too. They opened not so long ago, so I’m hoping they get better with timing and able to serve sandwiches faster. TL:DR — you might have to wait a bit, so don’t come starving but give this place a try! Crispy bread! Vietnamese mayo and liver pâté! Plus you can add fried yet with runny yolk! YUM! Eat the 3 for $ 1 egg rolls while you wait :)

Only getting 3 stars because I love the food BUT talk about the hostess with the mostest because she had. FATASSATTITUDE when asking how many was in our party. Definitely not how I’d like to start my dining experience.

i was out shopping today and was a bit hungry. Thought I should eat before I went shopping so I wouldn’t overbuy. :) I was surprised by the large location and got a little excited about eating lunch here. I did get a #7(grilled pork). it did take a little while to get, but nothing like what other people are describing. maybe about 10 min? but I did go there at around 130p. not sure if that made a difference with the service. I was pretty pleased with my banh mi. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. over all a good sandwich. Not the best banh mi i’ve had, but not the worst. :) I did get a boba drink to go with it. I wasn’t too pleased with that, which is why i gave the 3 stars. I think i should have gone next door to hit up their boba, but I haven’t had either one, so I wanted to give it a shot. The mango slush was a bit too sweet for me, but the boba was like frozen! It got stuck in the straw. they weren’t too enjoyable. :/

Worst boba drink ever, first time I couldn’t even drink ½ of it without tasting their bad boba or the overly sweet drink itself. The workers seem nice and all so that might be the only positive I got from this experience.

I think they need to train the employees and create a better workflow. I have been there 3 times. I got buy 5 get 1 free, and it took them 15 minutes to make my sandwiches and two of the sandwiches were wrong meat. Second time I only get one sandwich and it taste good but you can still see the employees didn’t know the kitchen and ingredients well. The third time, I was the only customer and there are 5 employees at the counter. I still waited for 10 minutes to get my sandwich with a fried egg which is cold. I wonder what take them so long to make one sandwich since the fried egg is not cooked upon order. I do appreciate that I got the coffee in 2 minutes so I have something to drink while I’m waiting. I think the price is decent but I would not wait for a cold sandwich for 10 minutes.

I was in the shopping center last minute as I just registed my vehicle at the DMV in Grand Praire and was looking for quick lunch before going back to work. Thought about this place as it’s been several months since my last visit to this part of town. Anyway, I decided to walk around inside, then went over to the new building on the West side where the Little Sheep bbq and this place. When you walk in, it was definitely nicer than the typical bahn mi store of Garland and such. At first, I thought it was just the drinks they had as I didn’t notice the bahn mi that was to the side of the store. I was there around 1p on a Tue afternoon, so there were not too many people. They had about 4 ladies working the bahn mi orders, and 2 girls in the front doing the boba teas and drinks, and 2 guys, which I’m asssuming are the owners. I was greeted quickly in Vietnamese, and since I had no idea what she just said, I just pointed on the board for bahn mi #1, which was their combination. As others mentioned, they do have the buy 5 get 1 free, but since I was by myself, I just ordered 1 bahn mi, along with 33 egg rolls for 3/$ 1. The bahn mi had some mayo, which brings out the subtle sweetness, along with fresh and crunchy veggies. The meats were plenty, and the bread was very fresh. I’m a phở connoisseur, but also love a good bahn mi if i don’t have the time… or low on cash. This is certainly one of the better tasting bahn mi that I’ve had in some time. Mostly it was due to just the freshness of the bread, veggies and meats. Nothing special, but just right. As to the egg rolls, they were OK as they have been sitting there for couple hours I’m sure. They do have an unique garlic taste that I don’t recall from other Vietnamese restaurants, which wasn’t bad. Just not sure if you have little kids that they would like it or not. Again, it’s just a little taste of garlic as most people may not even notice it. Overall, this place is a solid 4 stars. I was serviced by both of the guys, which I’m assuming they are the owners in working the cash register. They were both very friendly and asked if I had ever tasted the mini shrimp rolls, which I think is the same price as the egg rolls. Told him i never, and he gave me one to sample for free. Had i reviews earlier, I probably would have skip this place for sure as many were frustrated with their lack of service, and taking too much time in getting their orders right. After my experience today, I would recommend to give them another chance. I look forward in coming back next time.

I’m not sure why the ratings for this place are so low. They have a special for buy 5 get 1 free. Ends up being about $ 20 in sandwiches. The sandwiches are decent. When you walk in they have a dessert bar with traditional Vietnamese jellies and dessert/teas drinks. To the left side is the banh mi shop. I had the dac biet, ga nuong, thit nuong, and the opla banh mi. I liked all of them. My favorite would be the opla though. I love sunny side up eggs, so this in the sandwich was delicious. They put a lot of egg in too. My favorites(in order) after the opla would be the thit nuong, ga nuong, and dac biet. The thit nuong and ga nuong have a different seasoning to them, but it’s good. Sets it different from the other sandwiches. It had the beef jerky flavor, I think. The dac biet is last on my list because it tasted very similar to other dac biet banh mi’s. My experience was good, but others have posted horrible experiences, which makes me concerned about my next visit. We will have to see the next time I crave a banh mi.

The sandwiches are only decent. They offer quite a variety of sandwiches, but most aren’t even available because it’s not stocked(which was annoying when you asked for 2 – 3 different ones, but none were available). The same applies to the che. Also, service is slow(painstakingly slow). We ordered 3 – 4 banh mi and there was only another order ahead of us, however it took a good 35 – 45 minutes of waiting. The staff doesn’t give off a welcoming vibe. No smile, no courtesy.

Wait time was ridiculous! 6 – 8 people working in the restaurant and nobody was making sandwiches. We went there on a Thursday before lunch time and just as I had paid for my food, two women go up to the counter demanding their money back because the wait time was ridiculous! I should have done the same right then and there. So 15 minutes pass by, 5 tickets in front of mine, no sandwiches being made either. At the 20 minute mark, we decided to leave, went back up to the counter, requested a refund and left! This place could be good if they were more organized, don’t open up shop if you’re not ready to serve!

There is not a lot of decent banh mi in dallas compared to Houston. This place is new, clean and conveniently located in Asian Time square. I like pâté and vietnamese mayo in my sandwiches and they give enough of meat and veggie. The price is higher than most places($ 3.50 and up) I usually get the no 1 or 2(special combination). They have lots of selections. Even bo la lot(grilled ground beef with lemongrass wrapped in an edible leaf) I have also gotten the coconut pastry bakes fresh but they did not have it today. I am unable to comment on the drinks since have not tried any. I have visited weekdays afternoon and hardly any lines and service has been fast.

Now that the novelty has worn off and the reviews are so awful, there was no one in line when we stopped by for an early dinner last weekend. We got a fruit che that was very heavy on the canned jack fruit syrup and of course we bought 5 sandwiches to get 1 free. All the sandwiches(meatballs, grilled chicken, even the tofu) were pretty decent; the bread was cold but the meats were warm, and to us, it was no biggie. Even the fact that they were still serving cucumbers while there’s a recall on them was forgivable. But what we could not ignore – much as we tried – was the boss lady«ba chu» berating the young cashier halfway through our meal. «Don’t mess with the che! You don’t know what you’re doing!» Whether or not you understand Vietnamese, you could tell she was ripping the girl a new one. It was stunning how tirelessly this lady struck the girl with different variations of «You’re not doing it right,» each time more biting than the last. And even more stunning was the brave face that the young lady put on while I surely would’ve burst into tears. I didn’t have the balls or an adequate command of the language to say anything to the boss lady there, so I’ll do it passive-aggressively here: «You’re a witch. Loudly and repeatedly ridiculing ANYONE like that, especially an employee, in public makes me wonder when the last time was that you got laid. Go home, give yourself some love, and reenter polite society once you’ve removed that stick from up your ass.» In unaccented Vietnamese: Ba chu la mot phu thuy. Chi trich BATCUAI lon tieng va lien tuc nhu the, nhat la mot nhan vien, o noi cong cong lam cho toi nghi rang khong co ai dda om ba trong mot thoi gian dai. Ba ddi ve ddi, cung cap cho minh mot so tinh yeu, va nhap lai xa hoi lich su mot khi ba dda go bo cac cay o trong lo dit cua ba.

The service at here is so terrible! Make sure you have enough cash, because they do not accept under $ 10 order by credit card! The drinks are ok! Anyway, you will wait at least 10 minutes for a drink! That was so long wait!

Service alone is ridiculous. I went there and ordered 6 sandwiches and 2 drinks. I even brought a small dessert from the fridge section and asked the cashier to add this to my order. After my order she said I did not tell her to add it on and will need to pay cash for it. So I said forget it. Granted the sandwiches finished in around 5 min but 20 min later I was still waiting for my drinks. The same cashier was helping making drinks and the girl who asked me about putting ice in my drink separate or together was both standing there seeing me staring them down waiting for my drinks. Finally I saw my drinks in a bag on the counter and said how come no one ever called out my number. She then said oh they did. But guess what even if you claimed you did, you see me standing there and staring at you for my drinks and you KNOW what I ordered and see me with nothing in my hands wouldn’t you assist me somehow? And no apologies or anything when again I said I waited over 10 min for the drinks. They didn’t care. No one here cares. Don’t bother wasting your time here. Don’t give in to that crap of an excuse of they were having a soft opening… service sucks all around no matter the time of day. *update* OMG! I just got home and the girl asked if we wanted ice in it together or separate and she still puts the ice in it when we said separate. And then on top of that she didn’t even make me the correct drink! Mine was suppose to have coconut in it and it didn’t! I paid $ 3.50 for a drink with 3 lychee and green jelly… ridiculous! Don’t go here!

This place is a little pricer than ba Le. I feel like you get more meat at ba Le. This has more variety if banh mi though. Try to come sat morning when the bread is fresh. I came on a Tuesday once and the bread was ok. There’s other Asian desserts here as well. It’s a pretty neat concept. It’s still not bad so check them out.

I came here at 9 pm, the place was busy, a lot of customers were either in line or waiting for their order. I was a bit overwhelm with their huge selections of dessert drinks and snacks, took me and my friends a good 20 mins to decided what we wants. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even took time to explained to us what we should get! I’m always know for tinkering the menu to get what I want, they have no problem accommodating me. While I was waiting for my order, got a chance to chat with the owner, he told me that he is aware of the negative reviews on here, the reason for them to run out of stuff so fast was because they did a soft opening due to strong demand from customers who knew them from the garland location, and basically they are not ready for grand opening but they decided to open anyway. when we got our order, one of the smoothie wasn’t smooth enough to my friend liking, the manager offered to made us a better one, now that’s customers services! I’m sure my friends will come to this place for sure! They also have dim sum in the back! gotta try that next time!

I came in around 12:30pm on a Saturday and there was at least 15 banh mi tickets waiting to be made! There was a 30+ minute wait cuz there was no banh mi ready to make banh mi. The banh mi line and Che line is separate! If you want banh mi and Che you need to get in both lines cuz they can’t take your Che order in the banh mi line! I didn’t wait 30+ minute for banh mi, I ended up getting 1 box of delimanjoo, it had a very bad smell and after taste my 3 year wouldn’t even finish 1 and it’s her favorite. You can tell its old and I mean at least 1 day old! I also got the c16 Che and the bot loc in the Che was not fully cooked.

If I could give this place a negative rating, it would have been done. The workers not only messed up my mom’s order but countless of others before us. One even left without his food in frustration due to the time wait, which was forty minutes for my mom’s six orders. They rang up wrong prices for us and were completely rude and unapologetic to my mom when my mom pointed out that they put things that she specifically told them not to. The bread is crispy on the outside but soggy on the inside, and the majority of the meat was fat. This was not a one time occasion too, this has happened numerous times to my family members, but this encounter has definitely left a bitter taste in my mouth. I’m definitely never planning on coming back. Ba Le or Saigon Cali may be a bit farther but definitely more worth the drive for good service and good banh mi.

As it is new, the inside looks attractive and clean, and the concept is great since there aren’t great banh mi places in the area. However, this shop needs major management improvements. Scrolling down and seeing the other reviews of this place, I see a lot of people had the same problem as I did. As a place specializing in banh mi, there is no excuse for there to be no banh mi available at noon on a Monday. There should always be banh mi available, especially at lunch time. I didn’t stick around long enough to try(they said there would be a 30 min wait), and the customers that came in with me had the same thoughts as they left in a state of disappointment and annoyance as well. They are definitely losing good business with the way things are run.

Their #1 banh mi dac biet is pretty good, good amount of meat and crispy bread with a lot of flavoring. They’re new so service is really really really slow and when I tried to call in to order ahead, there was nobody to answered. If you go during lunch time and order 6 banh mis, expect around a 20 minute wait and the wait for the che desserts is even longer.(30+ minutes)

The sandwiches are ok. Not as good as the one in Garland. For me, the bread was the problem as I found it very dense and soggy. Not crispy and airy like it should be. There was plenty of meat(although the tht nng was super salty) and veggies though so that is a plus. The real problem with this location was the wait. I waited an hour and ten minutes for my order of two sandwiches. And apparently I was not the only one who waited that long after talking to a few people who were waiting too. I waited so long that I couldn’t make it to an appointment I had. When I finally went to the counter to ask about my order, they couldn’t find my order receipt and had basically skipped over me. Their process needs some work. I personally would not recommend going here unless you have time to burn to wait for your order. The sandwiches are better at the Garland location or at Ba Le which is down the street in Arlington. Ba Le is a little bit cheaper too. There’s a reason why Ba Le has been open for 20+ years.
