First time to experience this type of food and cooking. Was great! The staff was fantastic and the atmosphere was good too! Worth a try

Went here for lunch today with the wife, never had Mongolian hot pot before(heard of it), and was pleasantly surprised. For $ 10 we got a split pot of broth(mild/spicy), a fair amount of thin chicken slices to cook as well as a ton of veggies. My spicy broth was pretty awesome, absolutely packed with red chilies, peppercorns, and garlic. Very tasty and suitably spicy. While it didn’t seem like a huge amount of broth at first, the waiter would come by occasionally and top off our broth so we could finish all the veggies and meat… so it was a rather large lunch for $ 10. We also got a plate of egg fried rice for $ 5…again, it was a surprisingly large amount and suitable for 2 people for lunch. The staff was friendly and attentive, coming by to check on us frequently, which was nice. The inside was nice and clean, overall was a great experience. If you’re next door shopping at Hong Kong Market(or just in the area), give this place a shot if you want some great soup for lunch

We had our first visit here this past weekend, and I must say I’m very impressed! It smelled wonderful right when you walk in. We got the all you can eat for $ 19.99, which came with 3 rounds to pick from the menu to have with your soup. The staff here was very nice and attentive, they also explained to us how it worked since it was our first time there. We did the half spicy & half regular broth, they both tasted really good but it was kind of tricky to avoid picking up the spices that are in the soup. There are many different meats, seafood and veggies to choose from but luckily you get 3 rounds to try it all! There’s also a side menu which is not included in the all you can eat deal. This place is just perfect for a cold day/night and is worth it for the price! Also as we were paying they had given us two $ 5 coupons for next time, which is only valid Monday-Thursday.

Environment– The restaurant has a lot of space, so you won’t feel like you’re being put elbow to elbow. I had a party of 5 and we were seated well into a curved booth. I saw bigger parties that were seated properly as well. The restaurant is very clean. Nothing seemed dirty from what I saw. Music was at a good level. No blaring lights in my eyes either. Service– Out waiter was polite and attentive. When we ordered all our items for the hot pot, he doubled checked everything to make sure we got all our items. He refilled our broth when it was running low without having to ask for it. In the end staff gave us coupons for our next visit. Food– We ordered half spicy & half original, a variety of mushrooms, veggies, meats, seafood, noodles, and sauce. All the food was actually very tasty as we cooked them in the pot. Just be careful on not cooking it too much. Just a tip don’t drink the broth first. Drink it last after you cooked all your items so the flavoring stays in the broth. It made the spicy broth amazing. Bonus– The restroom was nice. I think if a restaurant takes care of their restroom well, they take care good care of their entire establishment. Restroom rating 8.0 :P

Mi amor and i came here for a date night! First timer to the hot pot experience! This place makes the process very simple! We got the AYCE for $ 20 per person, and chose the half /half soup and various meats and veggies. It was very flavorful and a very engaging experience!

My second hot pot restaurant to visit but it’s def not my favorite. Staff are nice and friendly, the décor is beautiful. I ordered the spicy broth, but I don’t like the taste of their broth and how milky it looked. Wish they had better options of side items to cook in the broth, hot dog was one of the options. Hot dog really? the hot chili sauce was fantastic. .50 cents extra for sauce. Although this location is closer to were I live I rather make that 40min drive to Plano to another location. I also think $ 20 pp is too much. I only had one round of order, didn’t even take advantage of the other 2 round of orders I had left. Also the meat pie was disappointing, the meat inside of it was gummy and had a weir Taste/scent to it. Hated it. They tried… they just opened so I hope they began to realize certain things and fix them as they grow as a restaurant.

Great place to get your Hot Pot helping. Glad they opened up this Grand Prairie location so no longer do I have to commute to Plano for my hot pot helping. Right before you enter the restaurant, you can smell the fragrances of the spices they use in their hot pot. You order by checking off a paper list of the items you want. It’s(AYCE) all you can eat, but make sure you eat all the food that you can muster to stuff yourself. Otherwise they may charge you! I recommend you order the spicy soup base or you can split the pot half spicy and half non-spicy. A tidbit to this restaurant is that they have other locations in Texas… Plano and Houston being two others I’ve been to. This location is just as tasty and the service was on top of things. Refilling water and soup base as needed, bringing the food items promptly, and checking for orders for additional rounds. Great place to come with friends and family! Just beware, your clothes are going to smell of deliciousness! Also, they conveniently have packets of their spicy soup base at an Asian supermarkets. We were able to introduce and satisfy our craving of Little Sheep hot pot to many of our friends when my fiancée and I were living in west Texas.

We’ve heard mixed reviews so the Special Friend and I decided to try it for ourselves. The ordering process was simple and pleasant. The server was helpful since it’s our first time. Other reviews explain the process well. We decided to do the AYCE because we wanted more variety than the set menu dinner. It’s a pretty decent price considering how much it would cost to make it at home! We ordered the half original, half spicy broth since I don’t like spicy food. I asked for hoisin sauce($ 0.50!!) and the Special Friend got the special sauce, which was actually pretty good. I would definitely recommend it and we both agree it’s worth $ 1.99. It’s not as spicy as it looks. We basically ordered one of every mushroom, tofu and seafood item, garlic beef, veggies, and stuff only the old man eats such as tendon and intestines. The tendon & intestine were big chunks that were difficult to eat. It would be nice if they were sliced thinner because they don’t really get cooked long enough to become tender. Not all of the items were brought out. We were missing fish filet, mussels, shrimp… idk. Seems like they held out on the good stuff because we had an abundance of everything else. We ordered in moderation and ate what we ordered. They suggested an order to cook things and there are directions posted on how to cook your hotpot but we threw everything together. Just cooked the beef as we went along so it’s tender and not overcooked and vermicelli as we went along as well. The garlic beef was very tender and sliced pretty thick. I would recommend that. I liked the fish tempura. The broth was good. It had whole garlic cloves which I ate and enjoyed. They were not super busy since the restaurant wasn’t full, but service was still slow. I needed drink refills and our check but the server wasn’t as attentive so we waited a while for everything. Everyone was very nice though. We would come back if the occasion arises.

Food: 6⁄10(Questionable freshness) Service: 3⁄10(Almost non-existent) Value: 7⁄10 Ambience: 7⁄10(Nice decors and mostly clean) Decent place for a decent price. I’d stay away from pork and chicken. Seriously, those did not look or taste like pork nor chicken. White broth broth was so-so. Spicy broth was actually a spicy(thank god). Service was definitely subpar. you pretty much have to reach down and turn on and adjust the heating element yourself. We also had vietnamnese tea, but it tasted funky. There are signs which say you may be charged extra if you don’t finish what you’ve ordered, but you don’t really get charged if there’s leftovers. They told us they had to put up those warnings to minimize wastage because people are potatoes and always order way too much and couldn’t finish.(yes guilty)(no potato doe) :P Not a bad place to dine but nothing special about it either. The pretty bathroom sink was the highlight of my visit for sure. Cheers.

I met my fiancé for lunch at his office, and he suggested we check this place out. The place was pretty dead when we arrived but as it got deeper into the lunch hour, folks started piling in. We stood out, but the host/waiter was very friendly and explained the process to us pretty clearly. I didn’t eat much aside from the broth, since I am cutting out meat and carbs for the next few weeks. He ordered the spicy broth soup with lamb. I only tasted the spicy broth and I was so satisfied and impressed by just that! I appreciated how they did not downplay the spice level for us. It cleared my sinuses and was packed with authentic flavor. My fiancé loved the lamb, fish ball, veggies, crab, noodles and other yummy items that were served on the side. I am ashamed to say this was my first hot pot experience, but I can assure you that it will certainly not be my last. Such a great meal. Thanks to Unilocal for helping me discover it for myself!

Do yourself a favor and come on a weekday for lunch because it’s only $ 7.99 or $ 9.99(depending if you want seafood) for the lunch combo hot pot. It’ll give you a fair chance to try this place without having to pay full price. That’s what I did anyways. Step 1: Order. We ordered the $ 9.99 lunch combo with seafood, lamb, and beef in a hot, spicy broth. I’m very happy I got the seafood because it was my favorite part to eat! Step 2: Get the hotpot going. The waiter will bring out your hot pot with the broth you want and turn on the heat. Your veggies and meat will also come out very quickly. Wait for the broth to start simmering and then add your veggies and noodles. I highly recommend that you tear your cabbage to smaller pieces before adding it to your broth. Also, eat your seafood slowly and make sure it cooks well since it can be cold inside. We ordered a spicy broth and it appeared to be seasoned with A LOT of sliced chili peppers, whole garlic cloves, and green onions. To be honest, I didn’t really like the broth. The sliced chili peppers were always in my way, neither my boyfriend nor I wanted to eat them, and for some reason the flavor reminded of the type of meat chili you usually see at chili cookoffs. In my opinion, as you add vegetables and meat to the broth, the broth should take on more flavor and become a deeper broth. That did not happen with this broth. I believe it’s because the spicy flavor of the broth was too overpowering plus the fact that the waiter added chicken stock to our hotpot as we were eating. So a spicy garlic broth + lamb and beef stock + chicken stock essentially = a muddled broth which lacks that clean, deep broth flavor we all love about hotpots. My suggestion to resolve this problem: order the cleanest broth you see on the menu and cook your veggies and meats in it. DONOT let the waiter add any chicken broth to your hotpot unless you ordered chicken as one of your meats. Overall, I’m glad I got to try this place without having to pay full price. I probably won’t return, mostly because I prefer the way Japanese and Korean hotpots are done instead of Chinese hotpots. If you’re curious about that, check out my review on Yoshi Shabu Shabu. I will though, attempt to make my own Chinese hotpot at home because I won’t give up on having the best Chinese hotpot ever. :) Happy Eating!

I would come back here :) For $ 17 each you get three rounds of meat and vegetables to put into your broth. I am not a «buffer» person so really 1.5 rounds get me to a «no way more room for food» full. I told them not to bring out the third round. The broths could be more flavorful. Remember when you order a sauce, order just 1 portion, 1 portion is enough to share with 3 other people :) Great for colds or winter weather :) Ambience ***: nice, comfortable Presentation *** Quality *** Taste ***

LSMHP is a chain. A very good chain. You have a choice of regular, spicy, or both broth. I like the spicy. The hot pot concept is simple. They bring you a hot pot of broth and boil it over a stove. You then order your meats, vegetables, noodles, and condiments. Cook your food in the broth and dip them in condiment. The magic is in the broth. The more stuff you add to the broth, the better the broth taste. You usually wait till the end to cook the noodles and drink the broth. But do it any way you like. This is communal food. Something you share the broth with friends at the table, not strangers. Though the boiling broth will kill any microbes, I still like to use a separate pair of chopsticks for cooking. This way, I don’t get my saliva in the broth. They have an AYCE and an a la carte menu. They have better items on the a la carte but the AYCE menu is pretty good too. Get the frozen tofu. It’s like a sponge and sucks up all the delicious broth. The house special noodles are very good too. The sate sauce is a good dip. Will RTE.

I had a week day lunch here and it was only 7.99 plus a 3.90 drink(eek) . We tried the half and half pot, one w chicken and other beef. The spicy broth is very spicy but it’s delicious, very aromatic. I will def be going back! The service was spot on! Friendly and clean environment, each table has their own burner. Thanks to my boss for a great lunch.

Really good hot pot ayce !! This place is very clean and modern! The tables all have built in burners snd the service is very good as well! As for the food, the soup is very flavorful so when you dip all the meats, seafood and vegetables in they taste even better! The meats: thin slices beef, lamb, pork, chicken as well as favored meats with garlic… my fav would be the slice beef and garlic chicken. The seafood: mussels, shrimp, fish, shrimp ball, fish balls Vegetables: Napa, Bok choy, 4 types of mushrooms, broccoli… and more Misc: tofu, vermicelli noodle, egg noodles, rice All in all I like the flavor of soup snd fresh meats and veggies! Best hot pot place in Dfw! We would definitely recommend this to our friends and family !!

First time ever having hot pot and i really enjoyed it. I would recommend getting the all you can eat, cause you will honestly spend that much anyways. We got the half spicy and half regular, both broth were very flavorful. It was annoying though having to avoid scooping up the garlic cloves and chilli peppers though. There was a lot of meat and veggies to choose from, i would recommend getting a side sauce to dip your meats and veggies in. I think we got the chef special and that was 3 in 1 sauce. And also you have 3 different rounds so dont order everything at once!

A huge selection to choose for the pot that will leave everybody satisfied. The hot pot is divided in half in case some of the party prefers spicy and others do not, which was convenient. Ingredients are served in rounds, depending on what you check off on the sheet. A little confusing at first, and the waiters weren’t very clear when explaining, but we figured it out. All of the vegetables and meat brought out were fresh and marinated nicely and the broth was tasty with a nice hint of lamb. Warning, though: I have a sensitivity to msg and felt a little sick after my first serving. The restaurant was clean and had a nice, modern feel. The music was a little too loud and upbeat for my taste though. $ 22 per person is a little steep, but for the quality of food and quickness of service, it’s fun and worth going out with a group for. I ended up rating 3 stars because of the distracting music, MSG, price, and service.

During dinner all you can eat for $ 22 per person! They do have another menu option if you aren’t looking to do the all you can eat. Very glad they opened up one a little closer to Fort Worth versus driving all the way far into Dallas. Staff is very friendly, when I visit other cities that serve hot pot they staff rarely check on you. You’re handed a sheet of paper that list the foods you can add into your hot pot. You can do 3 rounds I assume since only 3 is listed… Each box you write how many you want(ex. Mussels 2 per order: you write 4 in the box and you’ll receive 8 mussels). We did our hot pot half and half, one half spicy, and the other regular. I wish they offered quail eggs and udon noodles though. Overall great experience! Nice staff, attentive, they know how to explain things. Food was delicious! Have a big appetite when you come!

Note: hot pot is best with groups, like at least 4 people! Now me and my bf have so much leftovers, given I don’t mind that but hot pot is of course best fresh and it’d be more worth it to split the bill between more. TL;DR: good hot pot, good service, good atmosphere, a bit pricey, so have a group to split, def worth a shot if you’re thinking about it. I came here with my boyfriend on a Sunday for lunch around 11:30am. It wasn’t busy, but business picked up a little bit after 12p. We were seated, and we received our hot tea shortly after. There’s an option for all you can eat for $ 21.99 each or to order whatever. The all you can eat menu is limited so we stuck with ordering whatever. Still came to a little less. They give you a piece of paper where you check off the type of soup you want, then you can choose your meats, seafood, veggies, mushrooms, noodles and anything else you can think of. I know they have some other dishes but we just stuck to the hot pot. I checked the online menu on their website prior to going in since they have pictures of all the ingredients, so that helped me decide sooner. Service was good. They got our paper soon after we filled it out, and food came out pretty soon. They didn’t really check on us after giving our food, but we didn’t need anything and I did notice our waiter looking at us so I think it would’ve been easy to get his attention. We got the original house soup because I’m a pansy and can’t do much spicy, but they have bowls that split into 2 so you can have both for groups with differing tastes. For ingredients, since it was our first time, we got the 2 meat combo with beef and lamb, assorted meat/shrimp balls, fish balls(a personal fave that reminds me of childhood, not every ones else’s fave though), fresh noodles(which were good! I want to try the egg noodles next time), shiitake mushrooms(so good!!), Napa cabbage(my veggie choice for hot pot), and then for the dipping sauce we got the garlic with sesame(Its there most popular sauce, and I love garlic in general so it was perfect, but they’ll give you a small cup but really the soup only needs like … maybe one spoonful, be sure to get a mint at the front before leaving lol). The pot they gave us was HUGE! Maybe it also felt bigger because there was only 2 of us, but damn it was pretty big. We have 2 big To go cups that are packed full, and we were plenty full with what we could eat. Everything was delicious! I loved it, and just the novelty of hot pot is fun and enjoyable. I DEFINITELY want to bring a group next time. They even gave us a $ 10 off coupon so we will be glad to use it when we come back. I can’t really say anything in price since I don’t remember prices of previous hot pot places I’ve been to, but our total bill was $ 48 for the hot tea and food… so yes it is pricey, but I’m pretty sure we have 3 – 4 more meals we brought home to go, which is why I can’t stress GROUP outing enough. Super cool atmosphere/interior design too, and the quality of the hot plate was really good. Our food heated up real quick and didn’t take long to cook at all. I noticed some earlier reviews mentioned poor service, but that wasn’t the case in our situation at all. Given it was just 2 of us, we had a fairly simple order, and it wasn’t busy. They have been open a little bit longer now though so I’m guessing their staffing and system is better. I would totally recommend coming here! I’m sure it’s busy on Saturdays but I noticed a piece of paper on the door noting a Sat special for $ 2 bottle beer and BOGO plum juice and Chinese tea, so maybe I’ll aim for a sat next time if they have that special still.
