I didn’t like it. Ive had better, way better. The meat had too much of a smokey taste… The BBQ didn’t help in killing the smokey taste. Won’t try it again.

Husband and I brought our kids for an early dinner, as soon as I walked in an older woman, maybe in her mid to late 70’s was staring at me(every move I made every direction I turned her eyes were on me) giving the dirtiest looks. I brushed it off and sat down at our table after ordering. When our food was brought out to our table, we inquired with the waiter about our missing fries, he said oh they’re still cooking duh! Then comes back and says, you didn’t order any fries that’s why they haven’t been brought out. When we were trying to discuss our concerns to him, the older lady snaps her fingers at him and points to an order waiting in the window, he then walks away and never comes back. Only good thing about this place was, our food was brought out in a timely manner however for the price of everything we expected bigger portions. I guess the older lady mean-muggin me is an owner, not friendly at all, we will NOT be coming back.

The blonde pixie cut cashier was really rude, if you hate your job then leave. You’ll notice her by the way shes sporting her edgey septum piercing. The food was okay at best, the ribs tasted boiled for some reason. This place used to be really good years before they expanded the place. The only good thing that was notable was the cowboys winning.

I have lived in this area for over 14 years and have never been to Outlaws until tonight. My wife and I tried a couple of different things. I had the 3 meat plate with ribs, sausage, and brisket. My sides were coleslaw and mac & cheese. My wife had the chicken fried steak plate with green beans and mac & cheese. Verdict Sausage — bland Brisket — tender but no smoke flavor Ribs — tender but no smoke flavor Chicken fried steak — obviously a frozen food service steak. Did not taste close to being a homemade. Mac & cheese — bland Green beans — bland and obviously from a can Coleslaw — best thing on the plate. I was really wanting to like this place since it is local but the food is so bland. It does not seem like they smoke their meat much at all. The worst part was what they tried to pass off as chicken fried steak.

Meh. That’s the best way I can describe this place. The employees are lazy, the condiment and ice cream section always have stuff missing. The baked potatoes are dry and under cooked. Sour cream is stiff. Probably not my first choice for bbq. I will say, they are slightly better than Dickies.

Me and my son went there on Sunday looking for some good barbecue and I promise you this is the worst BBQ I’ve experienced in my life I don’t even think its barbecue the food tastes like they cook it in the oven, no smoke taste and the food is bland… anyone who says the food is great is a lier and obviously has never had good BBQ I think of BBQ being smoked meat and cook over a grill the food had no taste the meat smells like stale meat. If you’re considering eating at this place please turn around right now I kept eating my ribs in my brisket sandwich thinking it would get better and it never did my son agrees that this is the worst experience ever and I hate that I ingested the stuff into my body I really regret it! I want my money back.

These folks need to do something about the sauce but overall, we were happy. Everything else was okay, and they get points for trying hard to please the customers. If you agree with Greg Abbott, then this place isn’t for you. He claims the sauce should be the best part… maybe it should be.

It’s good for what it is… the problem is it isn’t much. It feels dirty in there. The brisket is decent but typically dry. The sauce tastes line it came from the Walmart shelf. The service isn’t bad but isn’t good either. Make sure you pay close attention to where you park because you may find yourself blocked in by the drive through line.

My wife and I went there first time this past Sunday evening. The food was great and beef briskett sandwiches were 2 for 1 priced at $ 4.99 each. The Margaritas on the Rock were $ 6.00 each in large round glass, the strawberry daqueries were $ 4.00 a piece, and the icecream was free(complementary on the house). We liked their food and drinks and interior environment was family style and nice. Service was great as well. We will go there again on the weekends and watch their large TV screens and enjoy.

Not real Texas BBQ. Ordered the chop beef sandwich and it was flavorless. Meat was definitely boiled. BBQ sauce not good either.

Bbq is edible but not a spot I would bring someone from out of town to represent good Texas Bbq.

Had ribs, okra, and mashed potatoes. It was good but nothing special. Ribs has fat and small bones in it

Brisket was lean and chewy. It was not smokey. Sausage might have never seen a smoker as it gave me the impression that it was boiled. The ribs were good and moist and the veggies were good. I’m not coming back.

A friend mentioned this restaurant had very good barbecue and so today I visited this establishment to order a rib dinner. The price was $ 11.49 and it came up to a little over $ 12 dollars with the tax. I was«LESS» than impressed. Although the ribs were tender they were THIN. One rib was nothing but bone with a little bit of meat at one end. The plate was very light. The ribs were dry and the barbecue sauce was placed in another container in the bag for me to pour it on. The barbecue sauce was very vinegary. So much so I took a few tastes of it and decided to eat the ribs dry. I had to struggle to taste the sweetness in the barbecue sauce and it was very runny. It wasn’t thick at all. The macaroni and cheese that came with the meal was good but not as flavorful as I would have liked. It was a bit bland. The small portion of potato salad that also came with the meal was also very vinegary. It also lacked the flavor of potatoes. Besides being very vinegary it had a very strange texture to it. It had the texture of grated onion. I took on spoonful and didn’t eat anymore. Overall, I don’t believe these folks know barbecue. And I won’t be back…(I wish I could get my money back however. That meal wasn’t worth what I paid for it.)

This is a great place for breakfast. They have generous portions, big biscuits, and everything goes together well. Not sure why, but their BBQ isn’t very good. Smaller places up the street have much tastier brisket and ribs. These guys should stick with breakfast… they do mornings well.

The restaurant has been open for many years, but I can still remember when it was a Braums. It’s an OKAY place to visit for an average barbeque brisket sandwich. Breakfast is decent, but again, not anything worth traveling from afar to experience. I actually prefer Waffle House a little further down the road.

Outlaw’s felt more like an IHOP than a barbecue restaurant. They do serve breakfast every day, so I guess that kind of makes sense. In the corner you’ll find an array of slot machines, which also seemed a tad out of place. Although, the furniture reminded me of a 1980s Indian casino, in which case the slot machines fit perfectly. Since I was extra hungry today, I ordered their 3 Meat Combo: brisket, sausage, and pork ribs with potato salad and mac n’ cheese on the side. Their wall-mounted menu explicitly states that all meats come sauced unless otherwise requested. I appreciated the heads up, and asked for my sauce on the side. The mac n’ cheese was basically Kraft macaroni with added black pepper. The potato salad was much more enjoyable, and I liked the pleasant sweetness. It would have been nice if there had been a little more crunch to it though. The slices of Texas toast that came with my meal weren’t even worth describing. The brisket looked a little bland and dry, but ended up having a pretty decent flavor. There was a good amount of salt on the edges and a moderate amount of smoke throughout. Even with a leaner cut the meat wasn’t dried out. Out of pure curiosity, I decided to try the sauce anyway. I couldn’t put my finger on it exactly, but something in the combination of flavors just wasn’t quite right. As for the sausage, it wasn’t nearly as tasty as the brisket had been. There was plenty of black pepper mixed in, but I couldn’t really taste any of it. I couldn’t taste any smoke either. Overall, the sausage was pretty bland. I tried the sauce again here, but it didn’t fit with the sausage any more than it had with the brisket. My two spare ribs were kind of raggedy looking, as if the cook’s knives had never been sharpened. I saw a slight red hue on the edges, but I couldn’t taste any smoke. I also didn’t find much, if any, seasoning. In fact, the main flavor seemed to be grease, which is just sad. Unless Outlaw’s Bar-B-Que can get the rest of their food on par with the brisket, I don’t see any reason to go back.

I have only eaten there once, and I had the brisket plate with pinto beans and potato salad. The brisket was cut super thin(which I like), was very lean, and smoky delicious. The potato salad is like none I’ve ever had, and delicious as well. They serve their barbecue sauce on the side(which I also like). The sauce is a tad too thin for me, but it was sweet and tasty. The building is really cool inside with smoking and non-smoking rooms. There is a huge HDTV in the non-smoking room. The place is very clean. I will definitely be back.
