Lowest price in town on power washer rental – for a reason. Piece of equipment quit working 5 times in the 6 hour rental period. Backfired and shot sparks out during the restarts. Could not get it restarted the 5th time. Not helpful over the phone as to possible reason. When returning it to the store, no one was authorized to make a significant adjustment to the price of rental. Total waste of time.

Alger Hardware has been a complete life saver many times over. In need of yard bags– yep, they got ‘em. Need random items to fix a leaky kitchen facet– the staff knows what will work. Need a part to fix the lawn mower– easy to find. Actually, Alger Hardware has fixed several lawnmowers for me throughout the years.
They have a great selection of essential every day hardware and home improvement items. The staff is always friendly and approachable even with my most random, mundane home repair questions, of which, I have many.

Took my lawnmower here for a tune up and was very impressed with the customer service, work, and price. The guys at the counter are friendly and knowledgeable. It’s raining now so i can not test out the mower (it sounds great tho) but if all goes well this will be my go to hardware store.

Extremely happy with the customer service at Alger Hardware. Took my lawn mower in for repair, the guy happily looked at it and provided a fix on the spot! Gave me the piece needed, showed me what was wrong with mine (always happy when I can learn a little something) and showed me how to install it and I only had to pay for the piece. I will definitely continue to use Alger Hardware for my lawn mower maintenance.
AND … they are now open on Sunday!
