If asked to rate the staff, this would be a 5 star place. Have been a regular on the bar side and there is a loyal group that keeps coming back because of the help. From here, it goes down hill fast. The recent change is menu is a fried food disaster. Nothing healthy and little that is good. Décor has long moved past tired and dated. the smell of fried food does not stay in the kitchen. A shame, great staff who take really good care of their patrons. Wish the owner would show as much pride in his restaurant as his staff does with their customers. This place is dying and it’s too bad.

I will give this a 2 because the food was good. The menu is updated and is why we decided to give this another shot. I would recommend it. However we ordered take out. The gentleman on the phone was nice and helpful. He said 15 minutes after some thought. However my wife picked up the order and it was 4O minutes. After 15 minutes my wife asked Monica if the food was almost ready as at that point we were at @ a ½ hr. Monica could not have not been more rude and was impolitely told to «hold on». She made my wife feel that the takeout order was a huge inconvenience and no apology was made for it being a ½ hour longer than projected. * Turns out that the rude person was NOT Monica but someone who does not work there any longer who decided to wear another co-workers name tag. Monica is actually great! Ask for her! 5 stars!

Awesome Food! I have been to this place a few times over the last few years but recently they changed alot of their menu. I’m going to have to keep going back all of it looks soooooo good. The olive burger is one of the best I’ve ever had and the wontons! I work in the area I hope the new menu brings new things for this place.

My wife and I try this place about once a year since it’s in our neighborhood hoping that it will get better as it would be convenient for us. We went at lunch hour today and the parking lot was fairly empty. There were about a dozen customers there in all. Our server was very friendly but the food wasn’t very good and took a long time to get. We were surprised by this as there were so few customers. Our potato skins were very dry and hard. My wife had a sandwich on a sub bun and there was very little meat(or anything else for that matter) on it. I had a bowl of mac n’ cheese with some shredded pork on it. The pork itself was tasty but the mac n’ cheese was really dry. We also had a pop and an ice tea. The total bill before tip was a little over $ 40 which seemed like a lot for 4 potato skins, a sub, a bowl of mac n’ cheese and 2 non-alcoholic drinks. The manager did approach us as we were leaving and asked how it was. We were honest and let him know we were disappointed. There was no discount offered or anything to try to get us to come back(like a discount off our next meal). I think he could tell by the look on my face that I’m not coming back. I used to like this place back in the late 90’s/early 00’s but I was so disappointed today at the amount of time it took when they weren’t busy, the quality of the food and the price that I cant imagine going back unless I hear it is under new ownership.

This place is tragic. The interior, reminiscent of Shoney’s in the 90s, is old, dirty, and outdated. The menu, serving uninspired comfort food, isn’t far behind. Because there were very, very few vegetarian options, I settled on a wet burrito with no meat. It was pretty gross. The refried beans were so dry that they crumbled – actually crumbled! – out of the burrito as a I cut into it. Really bland flavor too. Someone needs to put this restaurant out of its misery.

This place is gross. I would not suggest this place to an enemy. The waitstaff was super nice but the food was greasy and heavy and gross. My tomatoes were spoiled and my beer was warm. When I sent my food back I could hear not the cooks but the general manager complaining about having to recook my order. I had the waitress stop them from remaking my food and just drank my warm stale beer instead because if the manager was gonna carry on like that over making my food rite, who knows what they would do to the food while it was back there. They tried to charge me for the food I never ate any of so I paid for my beer and tipped the waitress and walked out. While leaving we saw the cooks out back smoking and screwing around. I almost puked when I saw one of the cooks had a sleeveless shirt on. That’s a health code violation. I went in The back door and took a picture of the gross kitchen. I sent that picture to the health department. I’m surprised they are still open. Don’t eat here.

Asked waiter if egg rolls were good and he said yes. Not! If you love fried food go for it.

After reading some of the reviews, I was skeptical, but had to meet there for business. We had deluxe nachos as a starter. They were good, could have been a little warmer, but still good. I had chili and the cobb salad. The chili was unique and delicious. I would go back just for the chilli. Salad was good, just what I expected. My dining companion had the fish and chips, which was also pretty good. Overall, we enjoyed our food and the staff was great.

Went there the other day for a burger. The burger and fries were actually good. I would give them 5 stars but the place can use some serious renovation. It’s in prime location but a real shame. They should just tear down the building and build an attractive replacement.

Neighborhood joint that is decent for a lunch. We ended up here because we had a Passport from a local chain of restaurants and were looking to try a couple of new places to collect stamps on our card so we would have enough to turn in for a gift card. This is part of the same chain as the Sundance Grills in GR and the Omelette Shoppes in GR and Traverse City. Our server was friendly and the food was fine. It’s a place I might stop again if I was over on this side of town… OK as a neighborhood place, but not somewhere I’d ride all the way across town to eat at. Decent burgers and soup.

Visited w friend evening of 9-13-2014. Co-workers and I used to eat there on a regular basis for years. Complete switch and business now opens for dinner only. We sat in the lounge. My draft beer was barely chilled due to equipment problems that have remained unfixed for a long time. We both had burgers requested as medium. They were over salted and over done w/o any hint of pinkness. We also had an order of onion rings which would have been very good had they thinned the batter just a bit. Instead the breading was too thick and I ended up peeling half off every bite. I must say they were cooked perfectly. The bread, toppings, etc for the burger were nicely fresh. The fries were perfectly cooked too but you get the same at McD. Sadly, we will not be returning. Nothing unusual or outstanding to draw us back to this neighborhood eatery.

It’s a great hidden gem. The menu is simple… a few sandwiches, a couple of soups, and a few pizzas. The pizza on the other table looked fabulous, and my Chicago Pizza Snob friend even said they looked really good! I had the Cowboy burger with Pulled Pork and BBQ sauce, on a patty with melted Pepper Jack Cheese and Friend Onions and Jalepeno’s. This thing actually gets to be called a Cowboy burger… not one of those wanna be’s that just has a dollop of industrial made BBQ sauce on it. This thing was the special… and it was Special! It was delicioius. If you are here, I highly recommend it! Out waitress was wonderful and quick! We will be back when we are near here!

I had a coupon for a free cheese pizza so I decided to check out the menu online before I ordered. I knew when I saw the Pig Roast I had to try it! Pulled Pork AND bacon on a pizza!!! Yes please! I have to say it was quite tasty — I love to try pizza with unexpected or less traditional toppings so I was glad I found this! Would definitely recommend you try this if you like pork! The cheese pizza was decent & the bread sticks were good as well. It is a bit of a drive for pizza for me but was worth the try for sure!

Hubby & I had a pleasant dinner here one night. Service was a little slow, but it was quiet & our food was exactly what we ordered & pretty tasty. Turkey burger had nice flavor & wet burrito was delish. Rumor has it, the wet burritos are the same as the Beltline Bar. I think they are, however, the margaritas aren’t QUITE as good.
