Decent clothing on a budget. However, customer service is extremely slow, returns from online are a nightmare (you have to go upstairs to home goods, but they don’t tell you until you’ve been in line for 15 minutes). Was out looking for shoes today but spent so much time in line I got sick of being in the store. Very frustrating environment.

We had a HORRIBLE time at JCPenney today. For Father’s Day, my sister and I were trying to find short sleeved dress shirts. We couldn’t find any, so we asked the store clerk. She vaguely explained where it was, and pointed. We thanked her and followed her directions and ended up on the other side of the store. So we asked another clerk. Then it repeated (except the manager had a bad attitude). Our third attempt was a THIRD clerk who had an empty register. We asked, and she pointed us toward the Boys (not mens) section. We asked her to physically lead us there, and she continued to point. A couple customer’s walked up, and when a second clerk told them she could ring them up, the first said «No I can take them.» Multiple times and refused to listen to us.
After a fourth time asking, a girl sweetly showed us the shirts. After 4 different store clerks and attempts later, the selection was a center island in the middle about 4 by 4 shirts with horrible selection.
We had a very frustrating time at JCPenney and wouldn’t recommend it.

My wife & I took my son to the Portrait Studio to have some professional pictures done. We were impressed that they showed us different backgrounds that would go well with the different outfits that we brought with us.
Denaviah took my sons’ pictures, and she was very flexible, and outgoing. She came up with some unique poses for my son, and didn’t act ‘fake’ with my son, like some other photographers that we have used in the past.
The only price we were locked into was a $ 9 sitting fee. There were lots of options of picture packages to choose from. However, after deciding that we only wanted to have the digital pictures on a cd, we were flabbergasted to know that it takes them 2 weeks to make a digital photo disc. So, we have to make another trip back to the studio, to pick them up.
Other places we have gone to, have given us the digital copies the same day we had pictures taken.

Not sure how I feel about the new style of JCP. It’s nice to buy something on sale and feel like you got a deal but with their pricing they don’t have sales anymore. They do have great clearance, that’s for sure!
I liked getting the coupons off purchases they used to send. I don’t shop here as often as I used to, partly because of that, but when I do stop in I generally find things I like.
