By way of disclosure, a family member of mine was a founding partner decades ago. That being said, OAM started with two doctors right after WWII and remained a two or three partner practice until around 1970 when more partners were brought on, adopted the OAM name and the location of the practice changed several times as the medical group needed more space. Today, there are about 30 Orthopaedists in the group. With support personnel, there are well over 100 employees. It is the largest Orthopaedic practice in W. Michigan, practicing mainly at the Spectrum Health campuses, but also working at St. Mary’s and Metro Health. The doctors are all board certified. Like any collection of individuals, there are different opinions of patients as to who they like or may not like. But the practice has high marks in its field. My experience with a general Orthopaedist, a Foot and Ankle specialist and a Hand Surgeon specialist has all been very positive. Employees are pleasant, professional and helpful. Lots of parking outside their offices and Surgery Center. They also have an emergency sports medicine facility for injured athletes. Check out individual doctors before you make an appointment to ensure you are getting the experience you need for your particular situation. I can recommend this practice to you!
