Amazing. Organic in many ways and best tasting coffee we have found in town. Fun location, beautiful art inside.

Delicious but overpriced coffee in a beautiful showroom. This café is beautiful inside, the gallery pieces are incredible. There is ample seating and plenty of room for being a smaller space. The barista is very nice and was working by herself but was able to multitask efficiently. I had an 8oz snickers latte with almond milk. In total I paid over $ 5 plus a tip. It was good not worth that much. One thing I found odd was I had to pay extra for nondairy supplement(i.e. Almond milk). To me that’s just insensitive to those who have a dairy allergy.(I don’t have that I just hate milk). Other establishments usually don’t charge extra to use soy, almond, or coconut milk in place of dairy. But it was a very nice café nonetheless. –This establishment is in a prime downtown location with the front facing a busy street. Realizing this, I can’t imagine what the owner pays for the space. That being said, I changed my rating to five stars instead of four. I was probably sour about the price of the coffee, and honestly, it is really good. My hope, when someone new visits this place, they will look past price and appreciate this place for what it is. A local business making a living in a rising city.

With so many coffee houses downtown it’s hard to justify going out of your way for one or another but this café/art gallery/coffee shop is definitely a hidden gem. Because it is about a block«off the beaten path» it is 1000x quieter then your other downtown options where concentrating is harder. My favorite part of my coffee trip here was the smell. The air smelled like cinnamon and espresso the whole time, not like in the terrible strong way that bath and body works smells like, but like fresh ground non overpowering cinnamon. The art that decorates the walls is pretty cool And the chairs are comfortable. The coffee, lattes, and teas which I have had are all good as well.

Totally enjoyed our break during ArtPrize in this adorable artsy coffee shop! Went in to check out the artwork, but didn’t realize that the coffee itself is a canvas for the baristas who created such beautiful treats. It was a pleasant surprise to have my coffee served in a real ceramic mug… as opposed to a cardboard disposable cup. The furniture was fun, the space was cool, and there was interesting artwork on the walls. Check out the two coffee drinks that we had in the photo section!

So Its your first day of class and you have a little while before your next class. What to do but wander around the streets that are so very new to you. I was lucky and stumbled upon PaLatte. After ordering and sitting in the unique coffee/art shop, I soon came to realize I would be a regular around this place. It’s close to campus, quaint and the staff seemed happy to help. I suggest you all stop in and support this business, just be sure to leave a seat for me!

We’ve been here twice. The first experience was good. The place is nice and quiet, and a good place to set up shop and get some work done or have a cup of coffee. The second time, we came at 6:51 and they were outside cleaning up the tables. They close at 7. We asked if they were closing or if there was time for us to grab something to go. The person we asked said«it’s getting pretty close» and walked inside. Having worked in a restaurant, I understand the pain of people walking in just before close, but a coffee shop is a little different and I found her tone to be pretty rude. Too many other coffee shops in Grand Rapids for me to likely come back.

The good: Coffee is good. The space and art are nice. The not so great: it is on the pricey side. They do not have simple syrup for iced coffee. The bad: There was no one there except for myself and a friend, plus one other occupied table. I purchased a coffee and a bottled water(two drinks). My friend purchased nothing. We had been sitting for 5 minutes when the barista told us that«there is a one drink minimum and in a few minutes I’m going to have to ask you to buy something». We had not intended to stay long. We were not using the wifi or anything. We promptly left and will not be returning. Technically we had bought two drinks.

What a lovely discovery. While visiting Grand Rapids, MI, in itself a lovely discovery, I happened to come across this wonderful, friendly, comfortable, delicious coffee shop with a great latte and great pastry, most friendly server, comfortable chairs, relaxing music, AND fun artwork crowding the walls. What’s not to like?

Great coffee and the soup was delicious too. Love the art and the various price ranges the artist offer.

I went into this coffee shop last year during ArtPrize due to the fact that I needed a caffeine fix — and badly. The coffee was great and there’s even the option of coffee ice cubes if you would like them!(I’m all about it.) It’s fairly cheap and the baristas are super friendly and very quick about getting your order out. The shop itself, however, is fairly small and there aren’t that many spaces to sit compared to what I’m used to. I understand that I was here during a particularly busy time as well, but I felt crowded. The tables are small as well, so I wouldn’t pick this as a good homework spot either. Reading for fun though, that could work. The art was interesting, but even during ArtPrize, in my opinion, was hit or miss. But that’s contemporary/modern art for you. Also, y’know, subjective mediums and all. Definitely worth a try if you love coffee!

The coffee was quite good and the brownie as well. Latte was well made and the espresso component was strong as I like it. The barista was business like, the art interesting and the music not overly distracting. A lot to like here but one significant downside, the seating is very uncomfortable. They have a few stuffed chairs, but if you want to work at a table your choices are unappealing. If you are on the larger side you simply can’t get in the metal chairs with curved backs and the only other option is essentially a metal folding chair with a rickety, small also tippy table. I won’t be back to work due to seating. Might be ok to read a book or talk but not really work.

I was in town with my girl for a quick weekend getaway and I planned on bringing her here since she’s very artsy. Unfortunately she was a little rough around the edges that morning so I made the ½ mile walkabout on my own. The art on the walls was all done by the same family. As Libbie mentioned it’s a husband and wife that own the shoppe but their daughter works here and has quite a bit of art on the walls too. She was working on the owl painting that I posted… it’s was done in coffee, tea and pen. It was really cool and she’s clearly talented. The shoppe itself is warm, bright and comfortable if you want to sit a spell. I had an Americano and took in the work. It’s definitely a cool spot to stop into if you’re in town. I’ll be back with my girl in tow next time.

Coffee just as delicious as MadCap without being as pretentious– also, minus the uncomfortable seating!(Don’t get me wrong I do love MadCap…) big arm chairs, lots of great art on the walls, and super tasty coffee. Would highly recommend checking it out!

I stumbled upon this gem of a coffee house while waiting for an appointment down the street. I ordered a coffee and had it served in a cute little cup with a small spoon for stirring in my milk. Lovely! My high back leather-like chair enveloped me as I sipped my drink, listened to the ambient music, and took in the art work on the walls. It was so warm and inviting that I was bummed to have to leave for my appointment. Palatte got every point of a neighborhood coffeehouse experience impeccably perfect! I can’t wait to come back with a book for a longer visit.

We happened upon this darling coffee shop while scoping out venues for Artprize. The shop is owned by a very friendly, artistic husband-wife team They have delicious coffee, teas and bakery items in addition to walls showcasing beautiful art!

I figured that instead of sitting around waiting for my mom at the doctor’s office that I might as well go for a walk and find myself some coffee. I stumbled across this place, and had to get my fix. I opted for the Café Miel with Coconut, and also got the shaved ones as well. It was pretty damn good. I didn’t get to see if there was any art in my cup since it was covered and I didn’t think to check until I am here on the Unilocal page for the business. There was plenty of art inside and I really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and set up of the place. I did sit down in a wing-back armchair for a few minutes to soak in the view of the place and look outside, and it was quite relaxing. The girl that helped me and was the barista was very polite and helpful in offering suggestion. I would love to come back and get some pastries along with my next caffeine fix.

I go to the barbershop right next door(foremost barbershop) which is great, but I arrived before it opened. I noticed I was waiting in front of Palatte. Seeing as it was a little chilly I thought, hey I’ll grab a hot beverage while I wait. Plus it looked like a fun place. There is a great ambiance in this place. The local art is a great touch and much of it is pretty interesting. There’s plenty of comfy seating including two tables(each with two chairs) in front of the shop. I ordered some hot chocolate which was very tasty, and at a great price too. To top it all off, the staff was very pleasant and upbeat. Also they answered all my questions without acting like I was wasting their time. I will definitely be back to this place.
