As far as diners/breakfast places go, this place is absolutely one of the best. Service is top notch, we were seated right away when we walked in and our drink order was taken before we even sat down. The table we were seated at was a little wobbly, so I went to put a sugar packet under it and our waiter saw this and immediately fixed the wobbling for me, without even being asked. He was really nice and I was really impressed with that. Our food was up quickly too, and the portions were HUGE! I got two cinnamon pancakes and they were the size of my entire face, definitely couldn’t finish them all. Our coffee cups were never empty. Great food, huge portions for cheap, above and beyond/friendly customer service. If you’re looking for breakfast in Grand Rapids, you have to go here!

Loved the food and friendly service. Reasonably priced for fresh delicious food. I had the turkey, ham, bacon wrap with cheddar cheese and light mayo. I took half of it home! The hand cut home made chips were tasty and only lightly salted. My husband had a omelette that he thoroughly enjoyed! We will return!

Red Geranium is one of the best breakfast joints around! I have friends and relatives come up from large highly populated cities that are always remarking about the lack of really good one-of-a-kind specialty type restaurants in this area. This is the one place that they make a point to visit since there is nothing else like it in their neck of the woods. The Red Geranium’s biggest downfall is that it can at times be a loooong crowded wait for seating. However, you cannot go wrong with their breakfast choices and the proportions that are served. I usually get the farmers omelet and often I cannot eat the whole thing, but no worries since it warms up great. The eggs benedict is some of the best around I’ve heard from several patrons. They used to give you free potatoes on the side of most orders but they have recently changed that. Kind of a bummer but you can still order then on the side for a few extra dollars. The menu does include lunch/dinner items however I cannot contest to that since I’m always digging their breakfast choices no matter what time of day it is. Their hours of operation can be a bit strange since they close earlier than most places. Because of this you will want to make sure to check that they are open if planning the trip. The place can seem cramped at times and I would love to see them expand in size. You really can tell that this place attracts a lot of repeat customers. After several repeat visits, I can say that overall their staff is very friendly and on top of things. They are always smiling and kicking butt trying to please everyone in there. It is worth mentioning one last time the portions served, you will definitely not leave this place hungry but you will leave satisfied. Give it a shot and odds are you will be back.

Great food. Clean atmosphere. Service was great but LOUD! Waiter was yelling across restaurant at/with cooks. 3 people working their hineys off to clean up…4 people playing. Would I go back? Probably but I’d complain loudly if I dealt with this again. Every one deserves ONE2nd chance.

Nice little diner with good food and open atmosphere that does«diner food» well. The eggs Benedict is very good and their Reuben is good as well.

The pancakes are too thick and not as soft. My husband had an omelette and I had a burger. Nothing too special on the menu, but is a decent place.

Solid stuff. The chocolate chip pancakes were fluffy and delicious, although nothing special necessarily; I also had an omelet with cheese, bacon and veggies which was well prepared and tasty. My friends had the Belgian waffle with strawberries, which looked delicious and the coffee was decent for diner coffee; I had a hazelnut blend that was really good. My partner had a basic breakfast of bacon eggs and toast and it was all cooked perfectly. Overall good solid food– the environment was a little chaotic but it was Sunday morning so I think that’s to be expected in brunch places. Service was still reasonably prompt after some confusion about seating.

Our waiter was so nice! The food was great. My nephew enjoyed coloring the kids menu and they hung it up on the wall. Our food came fast and everything was perfectly cooked.

Awesome food, great service! The Red Geranium is one of the best restaurants in Grand Rapids with a large selection of food and friendly service. I enjoy eating their breakfast selections, which I believe are served all day. The only bad thing I would have to day is that I am disappointed they are not open in the evenings.

If you like good omelets, come try this place. I had the new«Green Acres» omelets and it was fantastic. The place is always busy at breakfast, so you may have to wait a bite.

Went on recommendation from local. Got the supreme omelette and sugar bread. Service was good, food was good, but the sugar bread could have used some extra icing on it.

Nope. I don’t think I will go back. My second time I have been in there. I got the same waitress who honestly had other customers and I was just a disturbance. It someone 5 – 7 minutes to come ask me for a drink, took forever to get a refill, and the waitress was rude and obnoxious. The food was not great. The pancakes repelled the syrup rather than absorbing it, the eggs were bland, but my bagel tasted good. Sorry this one was a fail sorry

High class Waffle House, loved it! My cousin and I sat at the bar, they had an open kitchen. On a Saturday morning it was packed, we waited about 5 – 7 mins. Service was good. Now the food… :)))) for real. I had the pig pile skillet, tater tots, ham, sausage, bacon, shredded cheese, sausage gravy and 2 eggs. It was so amazingly American and delicious. My cousin had the gyro omelette. Lamb, feta, cumber sauce and what not. She loved it. I’m actually going back right now. It’s that good.

Love it here! We go all the time. The food is fabulous for either breakfast or lunch, and the staff is always super friendly to us. We love the pig pile skillet and the Irish combo! They do cute little seasonal things like fall harvest coffee and pumpkin French toast. It’s very sweet and homey. We just wish they were open longer!
