My father-​in-​law joined up during Pulaski Days, and has since become a regular. So it’s no surprise that when my wife and I are in town, a stop at «The 5» is expected.
The bar is fully stocked, and there is a great selection of beers. Ditto Jeff F. on his review of the pours… a single is a double, and a double is a fifth. Prices are cheeeeap. I’m sure that the membership dues help to offset the low prices, plus they probably make a decent amount of money on folks like me who can’t stay away from the pull-​tab machine.
Like Jeff F. said, visit during Pulaski Days (like my father-​in-​law did) have a drink, soak up the atmosphere, and join!

This is a kick ass place to grab a drink and hang out with friends. They have a really large selection of beers and alcohol and usually have something fun going on the weekends. Drinks are cheap and strong. Only catch is its a private club and you have to be a member (aka know the secret hand shake). They do have nights that are open to the public (Pulaski Days, Halloween, Mardi Gras, and some others), my advice go on a public night cozy up to a member and join!!!
