If your diet allows you to eat bread, I’ll venture to say that there’s something here that you’ll love. There are a ton of options… almost an overwhelming amount. If you’re looking to stuff yourself for around $ 10-$ 15pp. then you’re coming to the right place. It’s a deli counter style setup. You order. They prepare it. About 10 minutes later, you’re gorging yourself with sandwichy deliciousness. I had a hard time narrowing down my choice when we were in here last weekend, but I ended up going with the George Clooney. It was fantastic. Our entire group really enjoyed everything they ate. Even considering the generous portions, we left no scraps behind. Found this place solely based on the Unilocal reviews and once again, my fellow Unilocalers did not disappoint. From time-to-time, I find myself on some sort of carb-limited diet. If I end up in the vicinity of Two Beards at a time when I am on such a diet, one of two things will happen: A) I will cry; or B) I will break my diet immediately. The lure of this place is so strong, that a gambler would be wise to bet on B.

Two girlfriends and I went to Two Beards in Grand Rapids. As I got to the counter unsure of what I wanted to order, the man at the counter recommended a sandwich that ended up being amazing. We ordered our sandwiches and waited at the counter where another customer was very rude to us, saying that we had ran into her for the second time. Without even knowing the situation an employee at Two Beards stated to us that she had«seen what was going on and we could wait for our sandwiches outside if it continued.» We simply kept to ourselves and waited for our sandwiches while the employee continued to talk about us until we left. Although the food was delicious it was unprofessional for the employee to say these things to us without knowing the situation. As loyal customers, it put us in an uncomfortable situation that discouraged us from returning.

Good selection of sandwiches, breads, stuffings. So u can customize how you like. No Monte Christo though :(. Not that tasty soaps. Busy place during lunch time but the wait and seating is not too bad. Pretty good sandwich place.

All the sandwiches are THEBOMBDOTCOM. I have had lunch at two beards more than four times and have gotten a different sandwich every time. You cannot I REPEAT cannot go wrong! Drive there ASAP and buy a sandwich.

EXCELLENT! It’s the only word for the perfection of this little resturant! My BFF is a vegetarian and I’m a massive Carnivore! This fits us both! It’s so hard to find a place that does both so very very well! Don’t want to scare the help but… WE’LLBEBACK!

For me, this is by far the best sandwich shop in Grand Rapids. I’ve supplied the complete menu in the photographs below. There is something for everyone.

Why can’t I get a sandwich I love from three beards? I love the menu. I love the idea. I love the price. Everything sounds good. But for some reason or other they always fall short for me. It’s a shame because I frickin love a good sandwich, but it’s usually interesting sauces that intrigue me and often their sauces sound so good but entirely lack flavor. The spot is nice, the people are cool. It just doesn’t do it for me.

Real nice beards and sandwiches. You get a lot of food for what you pay.

I visited Two Beards for the first time tonight with a friend(we got takeout) and I think I’m in love! The menu is crazy long, there are 84 different sandwiches plus like a dozen salads and a few soups(today they had Chili, Cilantro Gouda Ham n’ Cheese, and a vegan soup — squash, I think) and every item is named after a bearded person or mustache style. HA! I am usually super indecisive when choosing from a large menu but I thought this one was very«user friendly» because it’s divided into sections based on what type of protein you want — Turkey, Ham, Roast Beef, Corned Beef/Pastrami, Chicken, Sausage, Vegetarian, or Vegan(I didn’t remember all that on my own, I brought a menu home with me) — and whether you want your sandwich cold or hot/grilled. Another thing that made the ordering process stress free and enjoyable was that there were plenty of menus available and visible right upon entering and there was an open table right up front where we were able to sit while we were searching the menu and making our choices, and also while we were waiting for our food. I never really gave it any thought before, but this setup is a thousand times better than delis where you have to stand in front of the cash register staring up at a menu on the wall feeling all awkward while the employees and other customers watch you, waiting and silently judging your poor decision making skills. Even though I chose my sandwich pretty quickly, it took me awhile to decide if I wanted to get soup or a salad with it. I ended up just getting a whole sandwich but one of the people in my group did the soup and ½ sandwich combo and her half sandwich was so big that she thought that she’d taken my whole sandwich by accident! The combos(soup + ½ sandwich or salad + ½ sandwich) are only like $ 10 and I was really impressed with that price, since I spent the same amount on a sandwich and soup at a fast food sandwich place earlier this week and it obviously didn’t even compare in flavor or quality.(Also — Two Beards has punch cards!) Tonight I had #74 The Count Von Count: black bean hummus cake, red and green peppers, tomato, spinach, carmelized onions, and cajun veganaise on rosemary sourdough(referencing my menu again) and it was quite messy to eat(maybe next time I’ll try silverware) but very, very good. A+!

Immediate one star for poor service and advertising. Menu says all over it, add a soup to ANY sand which for 1.50. We ordered two sandwiches and two soups but were charged 3 dollars for the soups. We asked why and were told that it was the way it was and there was nothing they could do about it. That’s hogwash. Additionally the soups are the same size for half a sandwich and a full sandwhich. Why on earth would you charge people MORE money to add a soup when they paid MORE for a sandwhich. That’s the most redicluous thing I’ve ever heard in my life. Won’t be returning on principle alone. Also food was mediocre as best.

This is a tough place for me to review. I really love one of the sandwiches I’ve had at Two Beards, and kind of hated some others. The menu is so massively large that it makes it difficult to choose, and with long lines at most times of day, you can sometimes end up feeling awkwardly rushed with people filing up behind you. Even going over the menu for a good amount of time before getting there doesn’t ever really help me. They all start to sound the same after you’ve read through 40 sandwich descriptions! So, I typically end up getting the same sandwich over and over, because how can ALL80+ sandwiches be amazing? I just don’t know. So I’m afraid to try anything else, especially since I’ve had a few that weren’t that great. My favorite is a sandwich that I never would have gotten had it not been suggested to me by someone working one day — the Freddie Mercury. it has spicy Italian sausage(patties), bacon, salami, fresh mozzarella and maybe some roasted red peppers. Basically, if you’ve ever been to Cherry Deli, this is pretty much the same experience. Long lines, long wait times for sandwiches, and hit-or-miss sandwiches. Find a few favorites and stick to them. Or, try something new every time! They do have a pretty large selection of vegan sandwiches, as well as some salads that I might try next time. Of course, street parking at this location is a pain, but there are parking ramps nearby. You might try calling your order in ahead of time if you don’t want to wait.

Ate here after the Grand Rapids marathon. Had the«Gandalf» and it was delicious! The menu has lots of choices and is broken up into categories, it was really hard to decide what to get because there are so many good choices. I wish there was one in Ann Arbor! My fiancé and the«Randy Savage» and said it was great, but needed a piece of bread in between because it was piled so high with ingredients. I can’t wait to come back when I come to Grand Rapids.

Most importantly. They have like 25 sauces to choose from. The only con here is that the amazing choices of sandwiches/salads is overwhelming. Literally everything i have tried can be described as epic. I come here for lunch just about 2 – 3 times a week. Some favorites: 1. the zappa(bbq pulled turkey, mustard etc) 2. tony stark salad– one of the best salads ever: bacon, shrimp salad, turkey, basil dressing of some kind. 3. texas chili Lines can get long around lunch time but if you go before 11:30 or after 1 its not bad at all.

The good: Huge seating area, so no wait. The Fred Sanford! Craft sodas. Punch card. The ok: Ambiance. Service(the girls at the counter seemed nice but jaded). The bad: Prices – pretty high! The portions were on the smaller side.

This is the best sandwich shop that I have been to in Grand Rapids. The menu is huge, I ordered a Sanford which is very big and very good. Try the potato salad also, it’s fabulous

Good food in a pleasant, clean space, with a fun and inventive menu. I ordered the Chewbacca sandwich, a veggie concoction of roasted mushrooms, zucchini, red peppers and pesto mayo on pretzel bread, which was tasty. The basic green salad was fresh and delicious; I went with the sun dried tomato vinaigrette and was very happy with that choice. Service is friendly and helpful, and(bonus) they’re open on Sunday, when Grand Rapids gets a little sleepy.

A great stop if you are looking for a quality sandwich. Two Beards Deli has a huge selection of sandwiches to choose from including vegan options. All of which you can get on their gluten-free sourdough bread or hoagie roll if needed. I ordered the Silent Bob Sandwich($ 8.96 w/tax). Sweet curry sausage with thick roasted apples slices, red peppers, caramelized onions and cherry sweet apple mustard on toasted GF sourdough bread, delicious! All wrapped up in two thick layers of butcher shop paper to keep it hot. Ingredients tasted fresh and the sandwich was well balanced and full of flavor. Two Beards Deli is Located off Commerce Ave across the street from Stella’s Lounge. Seating is available at their window front counter or table tops. An excellent choice for quality food in the downtown Grand Rapids area.

Huge menu, funny items names and delicious food. I did walk in thinking the menu would be like its sister store, Cherry Street Deli, but I was wrong. I knew walking in I would walk into a place with a menu that doesn’t seem to every stop, with tons and tons of options. I think this is a positive and negative for them. On the positive side, anyone can walk in and find something they life. On the negative side, it is like surfing the television, toooo many choices. You always think the next item will sound better so you just keep looking. If you find a item that sounds good, get it. You can always try something that falls after that on the menu next time. Don’t leave there feeling like you missed out. Leave there will a smile on your face, because the food is that good when you make up your mind! The big reason I didn’t come to Two Beards sooner is because of the parking situation. It is in a great location if you are downtown a lot but if you are trying to just go eat at Two Beards the parking can be a pain.

One of the best, if not the single best sandwich shop in Grand Rapids. They have a large menu of available sandwiches, all named after famous entities with beards(some actors, some fictional characters, cartoon characters or even monsters.) The menu is nicely broken down by the primary protein source and most sections have a «grilled» and«cold» sub-section, making it easier to choose. Their sandwiches are fairly large. Perhaps not quite as large as those at Schnitz Deli, but they are expertly crafted and easily the tastiest in the city. Under the Sausage Sandwich section, one of my favorites is The Silent Bob: sweet curry sausage, fire roasted apples, cherry apple mustard and carmelized onions — excellent! Under the Corned Beef and Pastrami section is The Klingon: Pastrami, salami, sauerkraut, Austrian Swiss, horseradish mayo and Russian dressing. Amazing marriage of flavors!(«Soj ‘ey» if you want the review in Klingon. It does say«nerd» in my profile…) Most of the sandwiches are under $ 10, which is quite reasonable and less than what I typically spend at Taco Bell. I have yet to have anything here that was not fantastic. Throw in an ample dining area and friendly staff and you have an easy 5 stars.
