First time here. It was very average. Service was extremely rushed. Food was so so. The righteous pork chop while juicy definitely needed a sauce. The trout was bland. The salad course was served simultaneously with the entrée. Our $ 200 dinner was over in 1 hour. Such a disappointment as I had heard such great things and enjoy both north star and brassica. Probably will not be back. Too bad

Was here a couple weeks ago for a gathering. I liked the restaurant ambience and such but it got a little too loud and we can barely hear from each despite sitting in the way back. Food was overall fine, but the cheddar herb biscuit was to die for! I can’t believe I forgot a picture of this deliciousness! Service was great!

Our first visit to third and Hollywood. Really excellent. Beautiful modern rustic urban décor. Pleasant knowledgable and efficient staff. Clearly they had been well trained. Acceptable wines by the glass. Some good wines by the bottle and not a bad corkage fee. Food was exceptional. We started with pimento cheese and chips, very tasty pimento cheese. It would be interesting to serve it with a baguette(throwback to the original pairing). Also had guacamole with chips. I’d have added some lemon juice and a bit more salt. Spouse ordered corn & black bean burger with shoestring fries. He really liked it. I had the halibut special with asparagus and a fingerling potato and green bean salad. Delicious! We will be back to try more of this delicious food! LMH

Visited on a Sunday about an hour before they closed. There were still quite a few people dining so we didn’t feel like we were inconveniencing them by coming in last minute. We opted to sit at the bar, which gave bf a great view at their(2) TVs, plus I wanted a more casual vibe. We started with the Cheddar Biscuits(obv) and he was sad we didn’t get the whole skillet. Truly I could have eaten a dozen of these. They offer them with a Pimiento cheese spread but they are amazing on their own so I wouldn’t even bother with that. We decided to split the Burger & Fries and the Ricotta Toast with Garlicky Greens. DEARSWEETLORDTHESEGREENS. So garlicky without creeping over into bitter or overbearing. A perfect compliment to the mild Ricotta. Definitely my new favorite small plate/app in Grandview. The burger was good but paled in comparison, for me at least. Our drinks were delicious and well balanced. Glad we gave this place a shot for dinner, we’ll be back!

The food is excellent, portions are correct, everything I had was cooked to perfection. I had the righteous pork chop, and Maria had the braised short ribs. We both thought our dish was better than the others, but agreed that both were great. I liked how each of the items went together. On mine the slaw and potatoes complimented the meat and on Maria’s the carrots were nicely matched with her potatoes and meat. Ok so we like meat and potates. We did follow the advice of others by getting the grilled artichoke and 3 cheddar biscuits. Once again excellent.

Excellent food and excellent service! The burger is simply to die for — one of the best I’ve ever had. Also love the grilled artichokes! We have come here for special occasions and it’s worth every penny. You never feel rushed and it’s clear that service is a huge priority! Bring out of town guests here — it always impresses!

The perfect mothers day setting. Live music, great food, exceptional service. The owners of the Northstar are so consistently great with their offerings and this is no exception!

My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary at Third & Hollywood. The entire experience was wonderful! He had rainbow trout and raved about it; I had the filet and it was cooked perfectly. Our waiter suggested a wonderful wine, was incredibly friendly and attentive. At the end of our meal, we were so touched to see a significant discount on our bill for our anniversary! They helped make our first anniversary unforgettable!

5 star dinner with my boyfriend. I ordered a halibut with potatoes and asparagus and it was amazing. Great service. Thanks!
Despite living mere blocks away since this place used to be a Gibby’s, I only recently just tried it. Worth the wait! It’s pricey. Expect that. We were in the mood for a drink and a damn good meal, and decided to give ol’ Third and Hollywood a try. It didn’t disappoint. We got the black bean burger and the classic burger. Both are now my new standard. No other burger, creamy, fresh, grass-fed beef, or veggie, can compare. It was, no exaggeration, one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. And so simple. A kick-a$$ burger and fries. One burger we got with the sweet potato fries. Ahhhhhmazing, as sweet potato fries done just-right always are. I asked for my margarita to be made spicy, with fresh jalapeños, and they obliged. The chili con queso with chips app? Oh yuuum! I hated to have to share with my husband! It didn’t garner 5 stars, though, because our server couldn’t be bothered. To refill water. To get me another cocktail. To clear our app plate once the meals arrived. It wasn’t that busy, and she was more interested in chatting with her colleagues standing around. I’m super forgiving about service, but the basics weren’t met. Tsk tsk. We’ll still be back, though. Next time we feel like springing for a pricier meal!

Atmosphere– The ambience feels intimate, rich, and warm. I like the materials that they chose for this space. Service– A, it was good. Food– We came here for brunch and there was a live jazz band. Everyone ordered something different so was can all taste test. I got the butternut squash and smoked ham strata. I tried the steak and eggs, French toast, and fish sandwich. The food taste fresh and my dish was okay. I was impressed by the steak and egg and the fish sandwich.

Came here for Valentine’s Day dinner as a surprise by my fiancé. We have both been wanting to come here for awhile as we love the grandview area. They have complimentary valet, but don’t forget to tip! We had reservations, but showed up 30 minute early and got seated right away. This is the type of restaurant that has all the small details that chains do not. We started out with the cheesy skillet biscuits which are just like red lobsters biscuits but a million times better. I got the Pinot noir and he got the cab, we both decided to order the short rib with the carrots and the mashed potatoes after seeing other reviews and we were not disappointed. We both agreed that this is one of the best meals that we have had in a long time. We ended with coffee and the apple crisp dessert. Everything was perfect.

We ate here for lunch on Sunday. The staff could not have been more pleasant, the visual atmosphere was great as was the food. The only issue was that they had a fabulous band playing which would normally be a great addition. Unfortunately, the volume of the band was so loud that the staff had to yell to be heard. The staff was apologetic but acted as if the band could not be asked to turn down the volume. The staff was very much afraid of the band. We were obviously not the only patrons who had asked. Fortunately, we were able to move our table to the back which was only a modest improvement. It was a physical relief when the band took a break. While it was great music, no one wants to eat a meal and leave with their ears ringing. Had it not been for the band imposing themselves on the staff and patrons, I would have been able to give a 5 star review, but they created an inhospitable environment. It is inexcusable that management would allow this.

Definitely one of my favorite places for dinner in Grandview. The place has great ambiance because it’s nice without being too stuffy. I’d make the same comment about the menu. You can get a nice meal but there are also some more casual menu items. The food is always fresh. I don’t think many people know that there is a great private room in the back that would be nice for a party or meeting. If it’s nice weather, check out the patio.

we went to third and hollywood for sunday brunch. there was a jazz band playing which provided a great atmosphere. the food was amazing. i ordered the french toast and i highly recommed it! we also ordered the iron skillet of biscuits with pimento cheese. the pimento cheese was $ 4 extra(a bit pricey for the small ramekin that you receive) but so worth it! we will definitely be back

Third and Hollywood offers everything– classy ambiance, fresh food, and great service. It’s a little pricey, but certainly makes for a good spot for special occasions. It’s worth it! I love the open kitchen– you can see much of the food being prepared(a la Northstar). Truly, everything on the menu is great, but definitely, definitely order the cheese biscuits. Yum!

Dining at third and Hollywood was an awesome experience from start to finish! The service was amazing. The valet drivers were great, our table was ready a few minutes before our actual reservation time, and our server was friendly and on top of things! The restaurant has a great ambience as well. We started with the cheddar biscuits and they were delicious! My husband had a beer and I had the homemade ginger ale(it was so nice to have something delicious to drink while pregnant!) For entrees my husband had the braised short rib and I had the salmon special. Both were excellent. The salmon was paired perfectly with mashed potatoes and an arugula salad. We were both more than pleased with our entrees. The prices are a little steep but they serve high quality, ethically raised food so it didn’t bother me at all. We will definitely return!

My initial review of Third and Hollywood was that the food was decent but the service was less than stellar. Since then, I’ve gone back multiple times(once for brunch and now 3 times for dinner). The first 3 times the service was still poor. We waited a long time for our checks and then it took even longer to cash out. We were constantly hunting down someone to help us. And I know Third and Hollywood prides themselves on service so I always left feeling underwhelmed. But last night, we went back yet another time for dinner and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience! We ordered drinks, shared an appetizer, shared an entrée, and ordered dessert to go. And the entire visit was amazing. We were greeted immediately and brought waters while we decided what we wanted. As soon as the waters were deliver we placed drink orders and our server was very knowledgeable about the local selections and various types of craft beer available. Our beers were delivered promptly and our appetizer was ordered. In less than 5 minutes, our hot, fresh, and oh so delicious Iron Skillet of Cheddar Biscuits was delivered. A few minutes later our dinner order was taken, which we informed our server we were going to split. When or Filet Mignon with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts arrived on individual plates, perfectly portioned, and the perfect temperature, we were more than amazed! The filet was the best I’ve ever had, and my boyfriend even devoured the brussel sprouts(and we even had some food leftover to take home). Lastly, we ordered dessert to go, and our waiter brought everything back to us, nicely wrapped and ready to go. Our check was delivered and picked up efficiently and we were on our way! Nicholas was our server and was absolutely perfect! He was there whenever we needed him but didn’t check back too often as we were clearly on a date and enjoying our time together. I’m so happy I gave Third and Hollywood a second, third, and finally 4th try! This visit hit it out of the ballpark for me! I can’t wait to return!

I wish there were more stars for the review. OK, in keeping with my reviews, only good or bad get reviews. Nothing in between. And first the summary. From the valet parking to the staff to the food this is by far one of the best places I have ever been. Great food, great décor, great staff. My advice. Go here. Be prepared to spend some bucks, but it is worth every penny! A wonderful evening! Now, take a moment and share our experience. I say ‘our’ because for a change I wasn’t on a work trip and my lovely wife was with me. We went to the Ohio Renaissance Festival at the urging of good friends. Great time! The jousting was the best. Not some scripted thing like the dinner theater. But that’s not what this is about, so here we go. Short background. A manager at Northstar recommended this place. We were discussing jazz and seems the Northstar folk own this as well! We arrived at the restaurant a tad early for our reservation. A little surprised to see valet parking but it was complimentary, the valet was very personable, and looking at the lot it was probably a good idea. Yes, you’ll want to tip, so complimentary is debatable. We got to the host(ess) stand. I expected a slight wait due to us being early but we were seated immediately. My reservation request for a table was met without having to ask. The décor is great. A lot of wood. Light jazz in the background. Not a ton of seating. We walked thru the kitchen/prep area to the back of the restaurant. As near as we could tell it was booths in the front tables in the back. The area was laid out great with large mirrors that made the dining room feel very spacious. Megan, our server was wonderful. Ready to answer all questions, excellent suggestions. Always available but not hovering. The wine and beer selections are very good. Not overwhelming like the places with 50 beers on tap. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with that it just wouldn’t fit here. Now for the food, because this is getting lengthy. Good menu. Not overwhelming with tons of choices but excellent dishes. Good appetizer choices, fish, poultry, beef and vegetarian were all well represented. I had the Rainbow Trout and my wife got the filet mignon. She gets well done even though I cringe when she does that. The trout was grilled with fried capers, fingerling potatoes and green beans. The flavor was fantastic. The fish was not all dried out but grilled to perfection. My wife’s filet melted in your mouth, literally, even though it was well done. She’s never had better. I’m glad she let me have a small bite. The grilled Brussel sprouts had bacon and pecans and was heavenly. For desert we split the pecan pie sundae. I’m not a pecan pie fan but I’m an ice cream addict. The goblet was half ice cream and half a piece of pie. It exceeded our every expectation. Make sure you go to Third and Hollywood. Save up if you have to but go here. We will be back when we’re in Columbus again!

Maybe my expectations were too high for this place. I had a lovely time during brunch here yesterday. Loved the live jazz and the place seems classy, although nothing about it struck me as overly classy besides having to put a credit card on file to hold my reservation and the astronomical price I paid for my kale Caesar salad. It was good, not outstanding, and it had several pieces of chopped roasted chicken with cartilage and skin on them, and like 2 wedges of avocado for the tune of $ 19. Highway robbery! Whatever that means, I think that is what happened to me. Not cool. The cheddar biscuits were to die for. So delicious and soft and buttery and cheesy. Yum! Service was fine, not spectacular. I’d come back, but will order something different for my entrée next time.

Our night started out with drinks at the bar, after a forty minute wait(without reservation) Melvin was very quick to our table. The menu was unique with a lot of choices. My experience of asking the waiter to provide their top three items from the menu proves to me their love for the chef’s ability to provide quality and quantity. Overall, my table was very satisfied with their food. The Hollywood burger was absolutely the best in town and those fries were also wonderful(I ordered a side plate to keep five other sets of hands off mine).

I enjoyed dinner at Third and Hollywood last night and I’m still thinking(day-dreaming) about it! I ordered their fish special which was a grilled salmon that came with mashed potatoes and cooked carrots. The salmon was done perfectly, perfectly charred, the perfect temperature, the perfect spice… the mashed potatoes were better than any home-cooked mashed potatoes I’ve ever had(don’t tell my grandma) and the cooked carrots tasted like dessert. Of course, I started the meal with their pimento cheese dip and ended it with the pot of cream(basically a fancy chocolate pudding). Everything was perfect. I know it’s soooo expensive, but it was soooo good. I’m not even upset at my tight skirt today, it was totally worth it. This is the perfect anniversary spot.(The dim lights and excellent service also helps.) Wow.

Best Grilled Salmon I have EVER had. Why have I not eaten here before, must have been under a rock. Met a friend here for some catching up and was able to get a great drink along with a great meal. The service was evenly spaced and we didn’t feel interrupted. The restaurant had perfect lighting for dinner. I felt comfortable and relaxed. I got the Havana Sidecar to start and it was stiff. Light flavors with a strong finish. Paired well with the grilled salmon, chunky mash potatoes and savory asparagus topped with parmesan. Salty and savory. Was not too full or hungry when I left. Felt amazing. The bill caught me off guard but I happily paid. Will be back with my husband for date night for sure.

Totally in love with this place. I met a girlfriend who was visiting for the weekend for Sunday brunch today… and couldn’t be happier. I drive by this place almost daily and keep saying how I want to try it. Brunch with a friend was the perfect occasion. We had reservations and I think they were needed even for two people as the restaurant and patio were full. We were promptly seated in a super comfy booth which yes would have been great for date night. So we started with drinks. .her a glass of wine and me. .a delicious Manhattan. My cocktail was perfect. .strong, bitter and sweet at the same time and came with these huge ice cubes that were perfect for that drink. I ordered steak and eggs. .she ordered a classic breakfast. Hers was eggs with those yummy looking cheddar biscuits and gorgeous thick cut bacon… she said it was great. Mine was a sliced. .I think tenderloin. .steak with eggs, grilled asparagus and fingerling potatoes. Every bite was perfect and delicious. The steak a perfectly cooked medium rare like I ordered and seasoned just the same. I loved the potatoes, I loved the asparagus and the eggs were fine(a little hard cooked for me). It was a perfect meal and worth the $ 18 splurge for brunch. We also shared the chocolate pots de crème. That was good but I’ve had better. Did Columbus used to have a Morton’s steakhouse? They have the best pots de crème… you order at the beginning of your meal and it comes out warm and creamy. We had one more drink at the bar. .the bartender recommended a nice syrah and let me taste that and a Mapex to see what I liked better. .nice touch… plus we had a nice conversation about Porteguese and Spanish and California wines. I was totally impressed with the experience, the service, the ambience(oh, yeah cool open kitchen concept) and mostly the food. If you have the opportunity try this place out.

I had a great meal but I don’t know if it was really worth the price. A couple friends and I went out on a double date? I don’t know. Is that what kids these days are doing? We started with drinks and apps. I LOVE ginger anything and their ginger ale is to die for. It’s the same as at NorthStar but you can order it with booze! We ordered Whiskey/Gingers and got something like a Moscow Mule. Either way, it was tasty. We ordered bacon-wrapped dates and the cheddar biscuits. So awesome all around. The dates were crispy, sweet and bacon-y and stuffed with goat cheese so I was a happy camper. The cheddar biscuits were also a hit. Very garlicky so beware. I ordered the burger as it is clearly a fan favorite. I’m not a huge burger eater, but it sounded good that night. It was pretty good but nothing to totally write home about. Weird to say, but the best part was the meat. It’s ground in-house so it’s very fresh. I guess fresh meat is something special. The rest of the toppings were kind of generic but the pickles were crunchy. The fries were also pretty good. They’re McDonalds/Burger King sized(no offense, really) which is how I prefer them anyways. Conclusion– food was good, but pricey. I felt fancy yet I could eat with my fingers if I needed to(I just had to get that extra garlic butter from the biscuits). I’ll most likely return and order drinks and appetizers.

CHEESEBISCUITSARE A MUST. They are heaven in a pan, melting in your mouth. This place is definitely cool– jazz music playing, really sweet vibes given off with the darker ambiance and swanky décor. I really enjoyed dining here. The only reason I am giving it a 4 and not a 5 is… I got the pork chop and don’t get me wrong, it was good, I just think for $ 32 it should be amazing. And I have had better. The friends I went with had really good meals as well– the burger, seared tuna, black bean burger etc. and really enjoyed them! I highly recommend this place, but the pork chop fell a bit short. Can’t want to go again and try something else!

Plus they had great recommendations! We started with the cheddar biscuits & wow were they packed with flavor! I had the favorite chicken sandwich — so tender and tasty! And the Brussel sprouts were some of the best I’ve ever had! My friend got the pot chop — thick cut and he said it was perfectly cooked and delicious! Yet another winner I found on Unilocal!!!

We dined here a few weeks ago for a family birthday. Made a reservation on OpenTable, and had no issues with the relatively large size of our party(8). Multiple acquaintances of mine have raved about this restaurant over the years, but this was my first time giving them a try. Unfortunately, their excitement may have given me too high of an expectation that couldn’t be met. The restaurant itself is quiet and nicely decorated. It’s definitely a comfortable setting for an intimate dinner experience. It took a little while to get our orders in, but once that was done, the service was timely and without issues. I personally ordered the seared tuna, my wife got the chicken sandwich, and I believe everyone else got either the Hollywood burger, the black bean burger, or the slow roasted chicken. All the dishes were good, but not quite as good as you would expect at this price point. Also, their main dishes aren’t that large(especially the tuna), so you need to order some sides or appetizers lest you go home still hungry. Overall, I came away with the feeling that you’re paying a premium more for the ambiance and the service, rather than for the quality of food. And for some of you, that might be perfectly fine. For me, I think there are other restaurants I’d rather go to for food at this price point.
