Soft, moist, melt in your mouth donuts! Came early for 2 dozen donuts today!!! Learned I could call ahead to place my order!!! My favorite is buttercrunch, my husband’s is blueberry!
Lived in KC for 13 years, only discovered this place a few months ago! Original design from the 1950’s!!!

They open early and they will run out of those tiny magical gems.
I found that Holt’s serves up the old fashion plain cake doughnut. I pick these of for someone special on occasion. I like the Bavarian cream filled bar, they will cut the bar and slap it full of the cream per order. Last time I checked, number four in the nation, but this place is number one in my heart.

No place on planet earth compares to Holts! Sadly I now live out of state but you best believe I daydream of these treats! Get there early — they close once they sell out. I highly recommend the double chocolate and the jelly donuts … They really aren’t even comparable to any other place. Even the other non-​chain local donut shops don’t touch the way Holts does em!!! A true Kansas City hole in the wall gem. I wonder if they deliver to Michigan ???
