Really enjoyed the Kung pao chicken. I got a generous portion for around $ 5. It was hot and fresh. I also enjoyed the governor’s shrimp. It had a little bit too much breading but the flavor was fantastic. I will definitely go back!

Its good place to go for lunch and dinner. The price is $ 6.49 for the Super Meal, that has chicken dish with an eggroll and egg drop soup. Great price

One of the best Chinese Take-Out joints in the metro area. IMHO they also serve the best iced tea. The R27, the Governor’s Shrimp is the go to dish. The establishment was once a former Hardee’s but was converted into the Peking Express and has been a Grandview staple for some years now.

Don’t forget the Egg Roll Sauce! 20+ years ago Hardees closed their doors and in it’s place Peking Express opened. It was a family owned business and it started out small. It took them a couple of years before they could remodel and cover up the Hardees paint and décor. But over the years while their competion has come and gone, Peking Express is still on Blue Ridge Blvd in Grandview putting out solid Chinese food and the prices are still good for what you get. They’ve added to the menu over the years with things like Springfield Chicken which is as good as you’re going to find unless you want to drive 200 miles South to get it in Springfield. But the #15 Kung Pao Chicken is still on the same space on the menu board as it’s always been. And if you tell them medium heat, you’ll still break out in a sweat as they know how to bring the heat. My family has been coming here since the first week they opened the doors, and over all these years we kept coming over and over again. 3 weeks ago from the time I’m posting this review my mother passed away. It turns out one of her last meals out before she couldn’t leave the house any longer… was at Peking Express. I try not to hand out 5 Star reviews on Unilocal… they have to be earned or for places that are truly extraordinary. Parks get the nod more often than not but food… yeah, I’ve toned down the star counts on my reviews. But how can I not give 5 stars to a place I’ve visited for 23 years, and time and time again I keep coming back for more? My mom would always remind me to get extra egg roll sauce… she loved the stuff as do I. 5 Stars. Can’t imagine giving anything less. Peking has earned every dang one of them.

Food made fresh to order, have eaten here twice now and it’s solid food done quickly and relatively well. Extremely inexpensive and great for the price.
