If you want amazing pizza then this is the place to go. It’s a little pricey but totally worth it. Best pizza I’ve ever had by a long shot.

Cute little pizzeria in Granville! Two tables for 4, one table for 6, and one table for 2 inside. They have some outdoor seating as well. I got a pepperoni and mushroom pizza and it was amazing. You could tell all the ingredients were fresh and I loved the crust! When you come in they give you cups with ice and you go to their cooler to pick out your own drinks, which I liked because I usually never finish my whole drink. Overall a good experience and I definitely plan on going again!

HORRIBLE Pizza! Sauce taste like it’s from an off brand can from Walmart and high prices! The ingerdients are low grade! I tried to eat one piece of a pizza I ordered took one bite spit it out and threw away the WHOLE pizza! Lesson learned!!!

Delicious pizza, but they rarely answer their phone if you call within an hour of their closing time. Very annoying! If you want to close at 8:00, just advertise that.

excellent pizza each time. I am from Columbus but whenever I visit Granville I try to stop by at Joe and Mimi. Supporting family, local business makes the pizza taste even better. The service is fast and courteous, friendly.

There are few restaurants that get 5 stars from me, Joe & MiMi’s Pizzeria is definitely one of the few that deserve the high rating! They grow their own produce, they have 20 plus years of mad pizza making skills, there are no preservatives. Please take note, their meatballs are THEBEST. The owners are really nice. Joe is the dude and MiMi is his mother. Joe knows how to make a(Neapolitan) NY style pizza like no other! Since we dined in, MiMi took care of us like any good Italian mother* would. Now why are you still reading this review? Go order a pizza already… (*- I don’t know if MiMi is Italian but I say it as a term of endearment and a compliment)

Absolutely love Joe and Mimi’s! This is my family’s favorite pizza in Granville and the surrounding area. The pizza crust, sauce and toppings are very delicious. The dining area is a bit small so get your food to go!

We just walked for pizza and were told they were sold out!!! Of what??? Dough? You are a pizza place. And you make pizza! That means what you don’t run out! You are open til 8pm. That doesn’t mean you run out of dough at 7 pm. Not acceptable. I will not recommend this business to anyone. Apparently they can not apparently accommodate customers!

Loved the pizza, I just didn’t realize the dining area was so tiny. The staff and owners were SONICE to us, though!

Pizza was good. Nothing was extraordinary about it but no complaints. Not much room inside to eat. One big table one little table. Outside eating area was bigger so it must be a nice day weather wise to eat there even if a little busy. Average wait time for us. Came from Pickerington on my way to shop in Heath, OH. Mostly a take out and delivery type shop in my opinion… was surprised of the seating situation when I got there and walked in. Probably wouldn’t recommend making a long trip to eat here. Again nothing wrong with the food just slightly above average.

First off, the pizza is great, absolutely the best NY style pizza in the Columbus/Granville area. Having said that, the owner is one of the most rude peaple I’ve had the displeasure of dealing with. I ordered 3 large pizzas for my family and some friends when they first opened, and she was so rude that we never went back. I was recently told by a friend that it was under new ownership but had the same recipes(unfortunately untrue) so I ordered again, and when I went to pick our order up, and heard her being rude to one of the kids working for her, then saw the scowl on her face, I remembered why I never went back. The pizza is incredible, so I wish I could go back, but I just can’t tolerate the atmosphere there, and can’t justify spending my money at a place that doesn’t care about their atmosphere or if they make their customers feel uncomfortable.

We were excited to try this place after reading about it in the paper. I LOVE New York Style pizza and have been dying for it in our area for ages. I feel like every pizza place in Licking county serves the same boring, bland pizza with thin crust. Joe and Mimi’s is a much needed change! We looked online before we came and read that the place closed at 10. We arrived at about 8:20 and upon walking in the door, we were treated very unprofessionally. We were told we were lucky we had just walked in because they were closed! I was taken aback and asked what time they closed because I had just read online that it was 10, and the older woman(i think the owner) behind the counter told me 8:30. Again, it was only 8:20. We asked if we should leave and she looked at the the young men working, hesitated, and then said, «No. Go ahead and order.» We stood at the register awkwardly for a few moments and then asked if we were to sit and be waited on? The kids both kind of grumbled and I felt like leaving instantly, but then realized what was going on(it was a Friday and they wanted out of there and prob away from her!) and told her we would carry out. She again told us we were lucky and barked that one of the boys help us. He came to register and blankly stared at us as if he was thinking, «OK, what do you want!» I finally asked him for a menu and he looked shocked and gave us an «Oh! OK» I noticed on the menu that the store hours also noted there that closing time was 10 pm! So, we ordered our pizza. We were reminded of the time while ordering as if they were trying to suggest that we not make it too difficult since we were on some kind of time constraint! I asked about desserts once our pizza order was done because I saw that they had sliced pound cake but I was told that it wasn’t homemade, so I said I didn’t want it. The woman rudely talked over myself and both boys while I asked my questions about their sweets! Once we were done ordering, we were told to sit at a table vs. the seats by the door in which I had already seated myself in. While we waited on our pizza, we couldn’t help but overhear the owner being very rude to her workers. She was snappy and I actually heard her suggest that one of them was stupid for forgetting a price on something! When we got home, I realized I was charged for that pound cake and it was like $ 3! She was talking over us when I was ordering so she must not have heard me. After all of that, the cake was not very good to boot. It was dry and bland. I also noticed that the woman kept her pizza sauce on the counter vs. in the cold well and I got a little nervous. I know it was closing time but that was the only thing on the counter and it was still sitting there 20 mins later when we left. The pizza however, was refreshingly good and decently priced. The crust was marvelous :) We got a bacon, spinach, and onion pizza. They used good quality ingredients and everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. We also got a winter salad with a homemade dressing that was really, really nice. All in all I feel that we had a bad customer service experience and the owner wasn’t very hospitable. When you have an experience like this, it kind of diminishes and overshadows the food, unfortunately. Id like to try it again but I wont be eating inside. It was very uncomfortable in there!

My wife and I found this gem by accident. We’ve had it for lunch on a few occasions, and it’s always been sensational. The owner is very helpful with the menu(he tricked out our white pizza like a pro), and clearly loves his craft. Get the sausage roll with sausage, green peppers and onions. The white pizza w/piles of ricotta, good quality bacon chunks and sautéed spinach(yep!) is a winner. My favorite is the 12″ traditional with double, Sicilian pepperoni. If you’re an extra sauce guy(like me), you won’t need it. Super clean, easy to get in/out. Recommended.

This is definitely New York style pizza, and we can’t find that anywhere else in the area! So glad we discovered this place. The thin, chewy crust is perfectly baked and the toppings are better than any chain pizzeria. The pepperoni and the sauce are very tasty! Yum!

Great pizza, some of the best in the area, much different than your typical, small town pizza shop – quality ingredients and a great product. Don’t go if you’re in a hurry though, as it can take awhile. Worth the wait though!

Went to Joe & Mimi’s with a bud of mine yesterday. At the time, I wasn’t very hungry, so I only ordered one slice. I got the Sicilian style with pepperoni and sausage, and it was incredible. The dough was thick but also very light. The thick crust at a lot of other pizza joints will make you feel like you have a concrete slab sitting at the bottom of your stomach, but not here. I’m looking forward to visiting again soon so I can try all the different toppings they offer. My only complaint: they’re not open every day. Hope that changes so I can come more often!

I’ve lived in Granville for around a year and a half and didn’t even know this great little pizzeria existed until today — it’s sort of out of the way on River Road. The owner, Mimi is awesome. She explained how all of the ingredients are fresh — in fact she was baking up the Italian sausage for that evening when we arrived and it smelled unbelievable. She explained the pizza’s a New York style, and indeed they are. Large slices of pizza pie that go perfect with an icy beverage. Have I had better pizza’s in my life? Sure, but not in Columbus and certainly not in Granville, where the pizza-standards are exceedingly low. Two thumbs up for Joe and Mimi’s pizza — it’s the best in town by a mile.
