A wonderful escape. The charm, service, food, and tea are wonderful. The atmosphere provides a perfect setting for a quiet chat over tea and scones or a light lunch. Highly recommend walking a block over from Main Street in Grapevine to enjoy a cup of yellow rose tea!

My granddaughter and i just had lunch at this lovely tea room. The food was terrific and so was the service. Very lovely place and we will definitely return.

Came in today with two very excited six year olds for a tea party! Walking up the girls loved the charming garden and outside the corner of the house! Walking into the house the front room is a gift/antique shop. Nothing I was interested in buying and thank goodness the girls didn’t want anything either! We were seated and the waitress(owner) was very nice to start out. I ordered the girls the«kids Tea party». For $ 14 you are paying for the presentation and show. The first thing that bugged me… Then the girls got their tea another young lady came out and sang ‘Jesus loves me’. The owner had asked my permission and of course I didn’t care. But the young lady didn’t get the words right and didn’t explain why she sang the song. I was embarrassed for her. The food came out and the girls were thrilled! They love the Tower of food! Second thing to bug me… One of my girls didn’t want to eat her sandwich. The owner started to give her a lesson on eating all your food bc of the starving children in the world! Welp… I’m the one paying for the food so why would she try to teach my kids a life lesson like that?!? Whatever. The girls did have a fancy fun time! My meal. Meh. I ordered the beautiful sampler. The tomato soup was canned. Good, but stilled not fresh. The quiche was all cheese! No veggies or other flavorings! The chicken salad was ok but a tiny portion! I’m allergic to most fruits so they did kindly and happily make me a strawberry and peach salad! In the end I would go back for another Tea party. The owner was nice and The place is charming.

i needed a place to host a baby shower and Beatitudes was perfect! At first, when I read the reviews I was a bit concerned however it’s been under a new owner since 2⁄15 and my experience was perfect. Alicia was very pleasant to work with in the planning process and the prices were very reasonable. We were able to bring in our own decorations which I appreciated. The food was FANTASTIC– perfect for a 11 – 1 shower. I will definitely be back!

This is the cutest little tea room! My bridal shower was hosted at this location, and everything was fabulous. The owner was very accommodating and great to work with, and her cakes are delicious! I would absolutely recommend checking it out! I am not sure if it is good for children in general, but there was a baby and the tea room provided a highchair for her.

New management clearly«gets it» where customer service is concerned. The ladies who met us when we arrived warmly greeted us as though we were family. There were a few other tables of guests there, and we didn’t realize that they would close in 10 minutes. I would never have known, either, had I not asked; they stayed 30 extra minutes so we could have lunch there. There is something special about everything they serve. Tea from real teapots, scones with a dab of flavored butter piped through an icing bag. I’m not a big one for scones, but these are out of this world. I ate mine plus half my son’s. The cobbler was warm, not hot, and delicious(and generously sized). The quiche was yummy and the owner who makes it spent some time telling me how she gets it so creamy. The 2 dining rooms are copiously decorated with utmost care. There are a dozen little delights everywhere you look. My children purchased something for me for Mothers Day(I’ll have to wait to find out what it it). The ladies there helped the kids get it out of my view, and wrapped it so I wouldn’t see. This is a charming tea room with a focus on the Beatitudes, which are on display, from the gracious service to the lovingly prepared food. The love of God is celebrated and exemplified there. A great place to have tea with your daughter, or for girls day out. Breakfast and lunch only.

Visited this place on 12÷2÷14 with a group of ladies from the church for our Christmas party, and was concerned after reading all of the reviews. First and foremost, we arrived at 10:45 a.m. and could not get in because no one answered the door. Since it was 30 degrees outside, our group decided to head to the art gallery next door to get warmed up. Okay, so here is where our visit took an interesting turn. We seated ourselves and took note of what was quoted on the Christmas stationary as a «limited» menu. Since I am not much of a tea drinker, I thought why don’t I just get the chocolate tea. If I don’t like it, then I know better for next time. The hostess was a nice young girl(I felt very sorry for her working at this place under poor management.) In any event, the hostess came back to our table and mentioned that she could not make chocolate tea unless it was in a very big batch. Did not make any sense to me, but whatever. Secondly, when the owner came out you could feel the tension. She was phonier than a $ 3 bill, and was only pretending to be nice in order to keep up with appearances. A couple of the orders were messed up(fortunately not mine, but still). The scones were tasty, however, they tasted like Jiffy Muffin mix, and were small… way overpriced. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich, and there was hardly any filling. The peach cobbler looked like a blob and was bland. I make way better peach cobbler by making my own pie dough from scratch, and was pretty disappointed. Also, not once were our water glasses refilled during our lunch visit, yet the tea kettles with the various tea flavors our group ordered kept coming/and or remained on the table. When it came time to pay the bill, we had asked the owner why our orders were not placed as separate checks. She stated that with a group of 5 or more they cannot do separate checks(honestly, I received the impression that the owner makes up her own rules throughout the day based on the mood she is in). Of course, there was a 20% gratuity, and when one of the women in our group mentioned to the owner that we had asked for separate checks, the owner stated, «Oh, she’s new… she doesn’t know what she is talking about.» What a way to bash your employee… fortunately the hostess was not around to hear this comment. I bet this young lady caught hell after we left. Finally, as we were leaving, the owner made one last appearance, and brought to our attention the items for sale in her gift shop. My meal was overpriced that I did not see any reason to pay any more. Not to mention, on my way home, I was starving. Imagine that: I am not overweight, nor am I pregnant, but I had to breakdown and buy myself a super-sized Filet-o-Fish meal from McDonald’s and I had just left that tea room. What a damn shame! After reading other reviews on Trip Advisor regarding Beatitudes, I am going to consider visiting the Main Street Bakery the next time I’m in the Grapevine area although I have never been there before. I’m certain other places in the area possess much better quality minus the snobbery/tension that Beatitudes portrayed. My advice: Do not come here unless you have money to throw down the drain. No one should ever leave a restaurant starving less than a ½ hour later.

We stopped by today after an estate sale upon seeing the word«Tea Room» because my wife loves these places. We were on our way to somewhere else, but we wanted to check out the gift shop and view the menu for a potential future visit for lunch. When we asked to use the bathroom my wife was immediately confronted with«Are you going to eat here?». She replied, «No, but I am looking at gifts and my husband needs to use the bathroom. I was reluctantly ushered to a bathroom outside in the bed and breakfast area while my wife stayed inside. There was a bathroom inside, but it was apparently only for women. My wife slowly wandered through looking at gifts and the setup of the place. She apparently got to close to the«private dining area» of a party of women and was told by the women several times that it was a private party. My wife was not going into this area, but just peering in as one might do do check out the place. As I entered back into the gift area from the out back bathroom break the guy that initially took me out and unlocked the room(bathroom area) pretty much then ignored us. My wife told me that the woman told her«We’ve got to ask if people are eating here otherwise people would just be coming in off the street to use the bathroom.» We would have definitely gone back, but the unwelcoming that we received was beyond horrendous. Sadly some ATTITUDES need to change if Beatitudes is going to make it. We won’t be giving it a second try.

We were disappointed in the service here. We planned an event that was to be a week from now. The owner does not have a venue contract, which would have been helpful, as she kept changing prices. She changed prices that were agreed on in earlier email correspondence and added charges that were not disclosed when the price was determined. When we cancelled the event and asked for a refund on our deposit she said we had to do this 6 weeks out and that she wouldn’t refund us. She did eventually refund us after some pressure, but the 6 week policy was never made known to us, nor was it disclosed on her website. She was not cooperative when we tried to come look at the space to determine what decorations we needed and we were shooed out very quickly. I wish we would have looked up reviews before booking this venue, if we had, we would not have booked here.

I discovered this Tea room as I was adventure driving around Grapevine, Tx. where I have recently moved. It was about 10:15am so I went in to see what neat gifts they might have and check out the lunch menu. As I moseyed around the shop I realized it was a Christian themed shop. I was even more excited. Then a rude woman approached me asking if I had reservations. I told her no I was looking to buy a gift and before I could tell her I wanted to glance at a menu she told me I couldn’t be in there and shuffled me out. I was so floored! Everything looked like it was for sale; there were prices on each item. As I lifted my mouth back in place, I told her I’d gladly leave. I’ve never been so surprised at what I thought was a Christian based store in my life. You can’t always tell a book by its cover. I’ll never go back, for gifts or lunch!

Being a foodie all my 60 years of life, I know what good quality seasonal food is. I do not necessarily look at price, perse’ but the quality & passion it took by someone who wants to make a diners experience a positive one. Truly, you can’t please all of the people al of the time but given the opportunity to review Beatitudes from also a different perspective, I thought I’d be totally honest & upfront on the real deal on this place, so here is my first hand take on this place. I had the«opportunity» to work for this woman who I truly believed it was her fortune to find someone seriously about their love of food.(Me) I had heard stories first hand from a previous employee about how horrible she was treated but I am the kind that likes to give a person a second chance. Thinking maybe she learned a lesson on how not to treat her employees. Clearly she still doesn’t get it & probably never will & it’s sad that she has no trust in anyone who is giving 110% of themselves. To begin with I was under the impression that this was a Christian based tea room but the truth of the matter is that beyond the shower curtain that divides the front of house & the kitchen, which is supposed to be a little slice of heaven to the customer, is nothing like the hell that goes on beyond the curtain. Mrs. Browning is the Tasmanian Devil. In all my life have I ever worked with anyone so mean, so greedy & most of all cheap. The so called«fabulous» tomato basil soup is nothing but a jar of Rinaldi spaghetti sauce, the cheapest on the shelf. The chicken salad is full of red onion that does not marry well with red bell pepper. Her portions are embarrassing. She has absolutely no clue how to cook, let alone bake in her toaster oven. All the pastries are box. If they come out overdone, she serves them anyway. I can’t count how many times I tried to introduce new things, all at my expense, never asking to be reimbursed but to bring a different standard to the same old sub par food the only knows how to throw together. I can’t tell you how many times she screamed at not only me but her own husband, Frank. I refer to him as St. Francis. He is a jewel but clearly not in charge & it’s painful seeing her boss him around like garbage but God bless him, he took it. It was clear he was just her pee on. At the same time I took her abuse until she snapped on me. She fired me on the spot because I was putting small candy pearls on mini cupcakes for a special tea. SHe ripped the jar out of my hand & it just went down hill from there. I took the initiative to do this, which her husband comments on how great they looked. She screamed at me then I screamed back at her & it got really ugly. A person can only hold it in so much. I felt like a whipping boy. If only she would stay out of the kitchen & stay home & allow people who know what they’re doing do what they do best, who don’t need to be told what to do constantly by someone without a clue herself, is the only way this woman can exist. At best she belongs in the front of house period. She would need a key to get back into the kitchen because she finds fault with every thing one does. Noting is good enough for her but it’s so ironic because she doesn’t know what good actually is. She rushes people out, adds tips to the tickets, yells at customers about bringing their children but has a children’s menu. What the hell? Long story short, every time I got off at the end of my shift, I’d have to go sit in my car, decompress by crying, popping a Xanax & drink when I got home…& this was all after a 3 – 4 hr. work day 3 – 4 days a week. She also is very shady & pays under the table. Maybe someone needs to say something. I think I lasted 3 months which as I understand was a RECORD!!! LOL! God bless this woman. Maybe one day she will take my advice & get on some much needed medication because she’s headed for a major breakdown! Poor Frank.

My review comes from a different perspective. I applied at this location to work. The owner, who was probably the meanest lady I’ve ever met before, was nothing but rude to me, and the two people I saw eat there while I waited two hours for a 15 minute interview. The owner informed me that I could work 3 hours a day, every day, for $ 5 an hour, plus tips… all in cash under the table. I also learned that the«chef» is actually just someone’s grandma, who knows how to make chicken salad and PB&Js. The tea was awesome, but the owner was scary. I turned down the job, she didnt get any info on me and was going to pay me cash? So she is mean and shady. She also said«this is no place for children.» but there is a childrens menu… Anyways, dont waste your time coming here, this lady is a weird old mean grandma, and the food is expensive and frankly… tastes like dog food.
