Blagg Tire Pros & Service

Are you kidding me?!? We came in for a tire alignment based of the 5 star reviews. They told us that the front shocks were bent and gave us a $ 600 plus estimate to straighten them out. We took it to a different tire place on Harry Hines and they informed us that the shock are factory bent to keep the tires at a slight angle to increase the cornering performance.
We had then replace the tires and the shaking we had been experiencing was fixed.
Don’t trust this place!

I found this through Unilocal and decided to give them a try with the positive reviews they have received. There are near my office and I dropped in at lunch for an overdue inspection. They were fast, friendly, and made suggestions for lunch while I waited. Easiest and most painless encounter with a auto shop ever and I will definitely return.

The folks at Blagg are the best auto repair shop I have ever experienced! I have been taking my car here for 8 years and they’ve always done great work. Many repair places take advantage of female customers but they are always up front with what is wrong & how much it will cost. The first time I went in was with a car another shop quoted nearly $ 800 to fix… Blagg fixed the problem (extremely well) for under $ 500. They care about their customers & do wonderful work… that’s why i keep going back.

These folks are great. They tell you upfront what the think it will cost to fix a problem. They are very fast in getting the work done. And the prices are fair.

I was a Blagg customer when I lived in the MidCities 7 years ago. I just moved back to North Dallas from East Texas and I will now be a Blagg customer for life. It is worth the drive from North Dallas because they are always thorough, honest and do their best to give you the best possible price.
Recently, my college son had a rattle from his engine. He went to a shop in Richardson that said he needed a new engine and that he had no oil in car at all. They put in one quart and sent him on his way with a $ 6000 quote for an engine. We went to Blagg the next day. Within a few minutes they said the problem was a crack in the oil coolant unit and that the engine would have burnt up in a few more miles had it not been fixed. For 15% of what the other shop quoted for a part, my son’s car is running like new.
Gary Blagg is an angel and the staff is AWESOME.

I have been going to «Blagg Tire and Service» for almost three years now. They have done a lot of work for me on my ’97 Camery. When I was buying this card used with 177,000 miles on it, they did a THREE hour inspection (program through AAA via Blagg). They got that car in PERFECT condition ! needed some work, as expected but WOW … what a GREAT car it is NOW!
I am a single girl and they have been BEYOND honest with me. Last week I took it in, thinking I needed new brakes and they assured me i did NOT need new brakes, still had 50% left. Said they were a little rusty because my car sits at the airport for long periods. They cleaned up the rust, rotated the tires for FREE, give me an «Airport Employee Discount». I only ended up paying $$ 37.00 !!

Blagg has always taken great care of my wife’s vehicles. This last time they squeezed her car into the lineup on a Saturday at last notice & completed the job sameday while having to bring in a part from Dallas. Worth a chair. These guys are dependable & honest.

I started taking my trucks and cars to blagg for oil changes soon after I moved into 925 apartments, about a year and a half ago. I knew about them in the past when I lived on some land and I would take my tractor tires up there to be repaired. 10 months ago I bought a 2005 Nissan pickup. The tires had extremely bad wear on the outlet parts on the tire. I decided to take my truck into blagg and purchase a complete set of new tires. When I bought the tires I told them to look over my truck and do whatever is necessary to keep my new tires from wearing like my old ones. After looking at it they informed me I needed an alignment too. I had them perform that work too. I work for myself and buying tires that were over a $ 1, 000.00 dollars was a big chunk of money so I had do what they said would keep my tires in good shape and last me as long as I can. From that point everything was professional and I left feeling satisfied with my purchase. 3 months after my new tire purchase I took my truck in for a oil change and tire rotation as they said I needed to do to keep my tires in good shape. I got the oil change and rotation, paid for it and left. Still a satisfied customer. This is where it started to raise my eyebrow on their work. 3 months later I took my truck in for another oil change and tire rotation. I left the truck there and about and hour after I get a call from Blagg telling me that one of my lug nuts were stripped and it would cost x amount of dollars to fix. Well, the only people who has touched my tires in the last six months were Blagg and if the lug nut was stripped it was caused by them. After talking to three different people and then the manager they agreed I shouldn’t have to pay for it. That was the first bad taste in my mouth about Blagg. 4 months later I take the truck in for my next oil change and tire rotation. What shocked me was my new tires had started wearing just the same as my old tires. THE LAST TWO TIRE ROTATIONS, NOBODY SAID A WORD ABOUT THE EXTREME WEAR. NOT A WORD. That was the whole reason of purchasing my tires and performing tire rotations to keep my tires in shape. Well, at the 9 month mark the two in front were terrible shape the rear was on its way to being in bad shape. After talking and arguing with a few people I left. About three days later a manager called asked me to bring it in so he could look at it. I thought wow, they may make it right. They looked at my truck again and said my tie rods were bent and it would be x amount of dollars to repair. When I asked him what about my 8 month old tires he said he would pro rate two of them. I said I felt that all 4 of them should be pro rated since there was wear on all four tires and that they failed or just didn’t care about what my new tires where doing during the tire rotation. He said he would talk with his tire rep and get back with me. Never heard another word from him. I own a small business my self and if I neglect something I am paid to do I will fix it and if I have to pay out of my pocket to make the customer happy. I am upset because I paid for a service that was half ass done. The only reason I think I was never informed of this was the tech’s working there didn’t care or they wanted my tires to wear quickly so I would have to buy more.

The folks at Blagg are great. My first visit was for two tires as road shrapnel destroyed one. They treated me with courtesy despite squeezing me in on a Saturday afternoon. I was grateful for their help and their price was competitive (verified later) and they were quick, allowing me to wait while the work was performed. All team member’s treated me like they appreciated my business… and they will have it going forward.

I only had to go for an inspection — but these guys were all so nice and prompt. I also saw them treat other customers with a lot of respect and kindness. I’ll totally go back when I need more done.
