What a treat for a Saturday night out! We recently attended the Grapevine Opry’s 50s night and enjoyed every moment. The production was well done, the regulars are all good, the music was lively, and the show had everyone clapping, hooting and hollering. The Grapevine Opry is a must see if you find yourself anywhere near Grapevine, or even if you must make a bit of a trip. They combine local talent, patriotism, a bit of the gospel, some country, a bit of corniness, lots of energy, with great choreography for a thoroughly entertaining evening. A bonus to attending the Opry is that it is right in old downtown Grapevine so there are lots of restaurants and places to stroll nearby. Go!

I’m a huge fan of Grapevine, and the Grapevine Opry is an essential part of the old-town feel of Main Street. This cute little theater sits near the end of the main drag, and the Opry puts on a fantastic show every Friday and Saturday night. The performances are reminiscent of the days of small-town performers, where good, wholesome live entertainment was a staple for all families. As expected, most weekends feature predominantly country music, but the special features like Elvis Night and the Christmas Show are amazing. I recommend it for a quiet Friday or Saturday night. Go grab a Mr. Pibb and some popcorn and enjoy!
