Great for my husband & the kiddos when they are running their various coupon deals from mailers or a twice a year promo where you can get a hair cut for $ 7– $ 10; depending on which promo your taking advantage of.
The location is a little tucked back in the same shopping center as a kid to kid, golf place, CiCis, subway, etc.
Generally they have always been nice and this location & when we have the kiddos watched by family that lives nearby we will come back.
Really convenient for someone that lives in the neighborhood.

Smelled funny when I walked in and no one welcomed me. Once some one did they spent more time trying to put my information in the system than anything else. (First time there) Once I got to the seat I tried to explain what I wanted to some one that didn’t speak very good english. I think this was the first haircut in my life that the stylist didn’t talk to me. Maybe it was the english thing… She also brushed my hair with the same brush she was cleaning her clippers out with. I don’t think I will be back…

The a Great Clips Store#490, Grapevine, Texas is not a place for individuals with black hair. I took my son by on Sunday, December 28, 2014, right before the New Year. I had previously called to confirm that Ci Ci was working because she informed previously after giving my sone a neck trim to ask for her when we return and she could also give my son a hair cut. Upon our arrival December 28 you could sense an attitude problem from Ci Ci when we entered. I informed her that my son wanted to get his sides and back tampered along with a neck-​trim. When she had assumedly finished and let my son out the chair, the work was half done. His hair was not properly shaped, the neck trim was hit and miss and a gash (bald spot) was cut into his hair on the right side. I suggested to Ci Ci that she couldn’t possibly be finished! Ci Ci then insisted that my son get back in her chair. I told her no, that if she wasn’t going to have the professionalism to do this properly, to let me pay her for what she’d already done and I will take my son to the a Grapevine Mills Mall, to have them fix the mess she had made. If Ci Ci knew what she was doing from the beginning, there wouldn’t have been a reason for her to insist that my sone «return» to her chair. She charged me $ 10, I paid her with my credit card and my son and I left. I immediately took my son home and video the messy job Ci Ci had done prior to letting another barber go behind Ci Ci’s work. It was obviously that Ci Ci had an attitude prior to the inception of her efforts and clearly should not have been working on this particular Sunday! I have also taken an after picture of my sons head after taking him to the mall and requesting that they please correct the mess Ci Ci had made. I do not recommend anyone with black hair to Ci Ci at Great Clips Grapevine, Texas. Just because Ci Ci is also black, does NOT mean that she knows what to do for black hair!

Worst walkin haircut ever. She won’t realize that you only get a good tip if you do a good job.

The one thing I can say about this place is that they manage to run off anyone with any talent. The ones that have been there for years get to talking and quit paying attention to what they are doing! I should have walked away, but I gave them one last shot. The woman completely chopped my hair in pieces even though I brought in a picture and told her that I only wanted to get it trimmed. It is so badly butchered that the stylist tomorrow will have to cut more off of it to even it out. I would NEVER recommend this place to another person.

Good place for a hair cut. I’m a guy so I’m not too choosey when it comes to hair cuts. On top of that I’m also on a budget. So right now I can’t go to Knockouts or a decent barber shop. So this place will have to do.
What is good to know is that the women who work here have been in the business for quite some time. The haircut cost $ 13.95. You usually can find a coupon somewhere for a haircut of $ 8.95.
I have blond hair so sometimes its hard to cut with the lighting. That was not the case here. My stylist knew what she was doing, yes she seemed to be pushing 70 but she knew what she was doing.
The small talk was good and my hair did not get all over the place. This place is perfect for guys on a budget and little kids. If your looking to save some loot and look good doing it, this is the place for you.
