I had 50 minutes before flight left. I was seated in «fastest section» available. Told waiter I had 25 minutes. He said no problem. Order at same time a ask the 25 minute question or within 2 minutes of being seated! 35 minutes later food arrived but I had to pay and leave with no time to get it to go. They still charged me even though I could not eat!

Ate here during a layover and was pleasantly surprised. Best food I have had in DFW. airport Worth going to Terminal A and seeking out if you have time. Fajitas were pretty good. This is a ‘local’ chain, with the only Pappasito outside Texas in Atlanta I think. They people who own this also own Pappadeaux and a few other restaurants.

The best food I have ever eaten in an airport. EVER. The food was really delicious and had a ton of fresh ingredients and my salad had two tacos in it. Amazing. The Margareta was really good as well, and our server(Michael) was very attentive and fast. Definitely a place to stop in the DFW airport!

The food was overpriced and wasn’t very tasty for my standards. They don’t serve alcohol on Sundays, but that is a Texas state law. I would go somewhere else if I was at the airport again.

A bit loud, and busy; but it’s a busy day at the airport. Had fish tacos — one grilled and one fried. Grilled is definitely my preference. Service was *fast*. Appreciate that, especially being an airport.

Hands down — favorite airport lunch spot. I love this place so much I look for flights that fly through DFW just to have an excuse to stop here. Usually a single traveler, I always belly up to the bar and get a house margarita. They go down easy and hit hard(and I need that to fly comfortably). I love their chips and salsa — the chips are thin and the salsa is different — it is served warm and has a kind of smoky flavor to it. A great combo with the margarita. I love the bartenders — they mix drinks consistently and are social. Matter of fact, I find I always talk with someone new at this location at the bar — I find that more than any place, strangers engage in good conversation here. I always order the two taco plate and it has never disappointed. I can’t wait for my next flight through DFW!

At least the blue moon beer was cold Got a bean and cheese burrito. Cold on the inside. Tortilla was doughy. Wouldn’t recommend this burrito

Look, this isn’t 4 starts compared to your abuelitas taco shops. But if you are stuck in the airport, this is VERY quality for airport dining. And if you’re vegetarian, you have lots of options(including an off-menus veggie burrito, which was great!)

Flew out to Reno and hubby and I were early, so we stopped in for a bit. Super fast service; however they don’t have chips and hot sauce in the morning… what? Why not? Seriously? Anyway, neither of us were hungry enough for a $ 10+ breakfast dish, so we each had a margarita and left. Shame they didn’t have chips because we probably would have had two pre-flight cocktails each if we could have had munchies. No idea about the lunch and dinner menus, but I bet they have chips then!

Probably the best airport restaurant experience I have had to date — highly recommend eating here if you are stuck at the airport! :) I got the chicken quesadilla and it was delicious. We also ordered margaritas and I really enjoyed those. The«small» is HUGE! Guess everything is truly bigger in Texas.

As a single traveler, I’m asked if want to sit at the bar rather than at a table. No, this is an airport and I have two bags with me. How am I supposed to juggle them in the crowded bar? So then I’m taken back to what are clearly the worst tables in the house. The two 2-tops next to the kitchen are so bad that in a busy restaurant, there’s no one already seated at either table. The kitchen is open so I’m either looking into the kitchen or having everything go on behind me. No thanks. There are at least three open 4-tops in that area but clearly they’re not to be wasted on me and my stuff. I’m told that I can wait 15 – 20 minutes for a smaller table. No thanks. I used to live in Dallas and went to Pappasito’s often. I just ate at the one in Humble on Saturday night and the one with crazy bad parking in Houston near Rice a couple of weeks ago, both times in town for business. As you can see, since I no longer live in DFW or somewhere else with the Pappa’s chain, I try to go when I’m in town. But I don’t always travel with others so sometimes I’m a solo diner. You have officially lost my business forever.

Seated promptly and had excellent service. I asked the waiter what he recommended and he mentioned the fajitas, shrimp, or fish tacos. I had the fish tacos that were served with a hearty piece of grilled tilapia, cabbage, guacamole and sc. It came with 2 large tacos and the flour tortillas were fresh and super yummy. My husband chose the chicken quesadilla and he loved it. It had tender chicken and lots of cheese. He commented that it was the best he ever had. The chips were crispy and salsa was fresh and warm. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it was a little pricey but that is expected when you’re at the airport Total bill with 2 drinks, chicken quesadilla, fish tacos and extra for guacamole and sour cream plus tip was $ 50

Good stuff: beef was beefy and the nachos had toppings throughout. Bad stuff: you need to get past TSA and be flying through Dallas Fort Worth airport to eat there.

The service here is excellent. I went to the to-go side because I was in a hurry to catch a flight and the female taking orders was fabulous. I asked for no pico because I hate cilantro and she immediately asked if I wanted something to replace it, offering extra guac, jalepenos, etc. When my burrito came, she offered salsa and I asked for hot salsa. She said they didn’t have it in the front but she would bring me a special side of it from the back. And boy was that hot salsa spicy, just the way I like it. The chicken burrito itself wasn’t the best burrito I’ve ever had, but for an airport, it was pretty good. It was just a little lacking in flavor. I think if they flavored up their chicken a little more, that would do the trick. I didn’t go into the bar area, but it looked like quite the happening place for a Thursday at 12:30 pm. Worth a stop in there for a drink if you have the time.

Great food, but super expensive. I guess for an airport you can expect to pay higher prices, but $ 16 for a quesadilla is a bit much. They were very packed when we came for lunch, but the service was very good and the food came out fast and was hot. My meal was very good, but definitely not authentic or worth the price. I would suggest getting the cold salsa, vs. the hot salsa that they give you with the chips when you first arrive. Also if you can, get a seat at the bar or looking out so you can people watch. #Yelp100

Great Tex-Mex to be had here. A perfect place for some good food between flights. The service is pretty quick. The salsa is served warm, which can be unexpected if you are used to cold salsa. Nothing like tanking up on a few ‘ritas before a flight.

This is located in terminal A. I have been here several times, but finally getting around to reviewing it. This is a solid choice, perhaps one of the best airport restaurants around. I have been to the original ones in Houston before, and they are even better, but for an airport it’s solid. They make great drinks, and you have a lot of good Mexican food options available. The tacos and the salads are great. Beware the portions are massive, and the prices are high. You can easily split just about anything on this menu. My current order at this place is a side salad with fajitas on it, and its plenty of food.

As others have mentioned, this is a pretty great airport dining option if you’re at DFW long enough that you’d like to sit down for a meal rather than going through one of the many fast-food /self service options. I really enjoyed the steak taco and chicken tamales, but the white sauce on the chicken enchiladas had an odd fishy taste — I think they share a kitchen with the Pappadeux seafood restaurant, and perhaps something got mixed up? What earns the top rating, then? The service — but not the service I got. That’s not to say it was bad — my food came out fast, the bartender was friendly, and the servers were all good to deal with. But while I was there, I happened to be sitting at the bar next to a solider who mentioned that he was coming home from Afghanistan. He’d been away from home for almost two years, and he was laying over at DFW before his final flight home to see his family. When he finished his meal, he reached for his wallet. The bartender came over and stopped him. «Sir, your food is on our manager tonight, and your beer was on me.» It’s a simple gesture, but it clearly meant a lot to the soldier, and it impressed me quite a bit. That says a lot about what kind of people are working at the restaurant, and it deserves recognition.

I was flying into DFW and the fellow in the seat next to me was talking to me about our various travels. He was living in Mississippi and flew into DFW frequently, so I asked him if there were any gems to eat at in the airport. Pappasito’s was on his list, and since good Tex-Mex is tough to find in Wisconsin, I sought it out to try. I was really glad I did — this was not just good Tex-Mex, but excellent airport dining. The place was packed at lunch as I arrived, but the hostess was outside the restaurant and greeted me pleasantly and quickly, advising me that there was a wait for a table but I could seat myself at a bar chair for immediate service. Despite the bar appearing full, there was also long counter seating included in that, and so I was able to sit down immediately. It took about 30 seconds for a waitress to greet me in the packed restaurant. I ordered a local beer and requested a menu, and had the beer shortly thereafter. I asked for a recommendation, and she advised me that the Coronado combination was a good pick. After a little thought, I said let’s give that a shot. The Coronado was $ 15.00 and consisted of a cheese enchilada, a crispy beef taco(which I was dubious about ordering), and three«shrimp en brochette». The latter consisted of tail on shrimp, butterflied and stuffed with fresh jalapeño and cheese, wrapped in bacon and grilled over fire. Rice and pinto beans came alongside. It was lights-out. First off, the pintos were dang-near perfect. Tender beans with just the right amount of porky liquid, seasoned wonderfully and with some bits of smoked sausage and other items… man, they were good. The only thing I would change is the salt level which could be lowered a little. Still, some of the best beans I’ve ever had and I’d love to have the recipe. The shrimp were great too. They were separated by grilled bell pepper slices that were crip and perfectly done. The shrimp were done just right too, which was a big surprise — I was expecting them to be overcooked. I was really glad I took the chance. The bacon wrap was sizzling and good quality, and the jalapenos inside the cheese — pretty sure it was Cotija or Chiuauaha — were also fresh, green, and crisp. Again, they were a touch salty. Otherwise, perfect. Along with that, the cheese enchilada was easily the best I’d ever had; I could eat a plate of them. The taco was good with a crispy shell stuffed full of fair-quality beef, crispy lettuce and an ample amount of tomatoes. It was very generous and what I would call a Tex-Mex taco, as opposed to a truly Mexican taco. The rice was good but nothing special — still, call me when you find some special rice, because that’ll be the day. As an airport restaurant, service and speed are super important and Pappasito’s did not disappoint. My server Rachel was on the ball and the food came out both hot and quick. The best compliment I can pay is that she provided the check shortly after I was served, saying, «This isn’t to rush you, I just want to be sure you’re taken care of.» As a business traveller I really appreciate her knowing I may have a flight to get to and must get in and out in a hurry. As a diner, I appreciate her qualifying why I was getting a check in what would seem to a non-business traveller as inappropriately fast. Pappasito’s had generous portions, great food and great service. If this were a street restaurant, it would get 4 stars because of the saltiness and somewhat high price. However, as an airport restaurant, it’s a good 5 has the service benefits and quality outshine other options and the pricing is fair in the context of airport prices. I was glad I went from terminal B to terminal A for a bite to eat, and you would be wise to do so too. Recommended.

Pappasito’s was actually a pretty tasty place to load up on grub before a flight. Service was surprisingly friendly for a crazy airport restaurant, and they’ll even make you a vanilla shake with Oreo mixed in to go(speaking from experience on that one). For food, I had the chicken enchiladas, which went down nicely in a sea of cheese sauce, beans and rice. Chips and salsa was also tasty, though the salsa was a little on the warm side — temperature wise, that is. Warm salsa is okay, hot salsa … not as much. But at least this way we know it’s fresh? I wouldn’t drive out of my way to eat here, but in Terminal A it’d be on my list of places to return if the craving struck.
