The seared tuna is better than any I’ve had in a sushi bar! The only place that’s better is my house!

I didn’t mind the smoke in this place. Yeah there was a lot but it’s a smoking bar, what do you want? There was a band the night we went, a little loud for the small place but fun all the same. Drinks and food are good and very reasonably priced. We will be back for sure!

As soon as we opened the door to this place, we were overwhelmed with the smell of stale cigarette smoke. We shut the door and walked across the street to Cotton Patch where no smoking is allowed. The family behind us did the same thing. It’s 2016, get a clue Tap In, people don’t want to be subjected to smoke anymore.

If you don’t mind smelling like a walking talking ash tray… This could be the place for you. Now grant it, I was fully aware of the smoking situation because I’d read previous Unilocalers reviews… Thanks y’all… But my department from work wanted to have s little offsite holiday fun so this was an easy central location that people could enjoy. Now with that being said, it’s a small little pub, right next door to a cigar shop in the heart of Main Street Grapevine. By the looks of it, it’s frequented by regulars. They have a pretty basic menu of burgers, pizza, and fried appetizers… You know, bad food. They’ve got a touch tubes machine and smoke to last you for days. The servers were nice and the beer was nothing special but it was inexpensive. I highly doubt I’d ever go back, but for the group I was with… We had a decent time.

The tap in bar and grill, by far has the worst service of any establishment on main street.

They have a MegaTouch bartop game!!! They’re getting difficult to find. We had great service the whole time we were here. The atmosphere is nice. I originally thought that«Tap-In» had to do with billiards, which they do have, but it is actually mostly golf themed. Fun and Friendly. We ended up moving on to another place for food, but we enjoyed our visit.

This place is fun. Their claim to fame is deep fried dishes. Try the catfish — it is so delicious. I wish they had a better selection of draught beers, but they have a pretty good selection in bottles and cans. The service was amazing.

Great food, great service and great alcohol selection! Live music is always great but only available select nights. The bar tender Johnny is very fast and personable! Been here 5 plus times and have always enjoyed it!

Classic Rock bingo on Tuesday nights! My friend and I came here last week and had a blast. They have great events here almost every night.

I think it should be noted this review really doesn’t cover the«bar feel» type experience, i only ate lunch here. I actually liked the feel of the place, but with a little closer inspection i found a lot of the décor cheesy. I had their lunch special for the day, bangers & mash. I found the bangers to taste like the cheap sausage you find at walmart & the potatoes tasted like they came from the dry packets. The thing that confused me the most was the lettuce that the one slice of orange was sitting on. Is that some custom i know nothing about? I think during prime drinking hours this place would be cool to drink at. Several fellas were smoking a cigar during my visit & a tip from a friend told me this was the norm. While i gave it two stars for the food, slight lack of service & somewhat cheap décor feel, i will have to give this place a try during later hours.

Decided to get out on a beautiful Saturday in North Texas and after stopping out at Grapevine Lake, decided to go to Main Street and get some photos. Stopped in here for the first time and I wasn’t disappointed. Friendly people, friendly staff, cold beer and good burgers. Had the signature burger which is a ½ pound Angus burger with the usual toppings on the side,(lettuce, tomato slice, pickles, red onion slice.) You can add other toppings for a little extra. They also offer entrees, pizza, soups, salads, and sandwiches. I’m told that on weekends they have a live band in the evenings, though I didn’t really see a place for the band to set up. I did like the flags for the different military branches hung from the ceiling, including a POW/MIA flag. All in all a great spot to have a cold beer or glass of wine when you visit historic downtown Grapevine, Texas.

This place is a drink, music and cigar lovers dream. The owner Kenny and his wife are awesome and everyone is super friendly. Imagine cheers but with great bar food and cigars. I used to live here and every time I come back to visit I come here. If you want wine and cheese this is not your place. If you want down to earth people and a bar owned by a former Marine then it is. Keep it up Tap-in. Semper Fi.

The location on Main street in Grapevine is awesome. The rock n roll bingo is fun on Tuesdays but this place is SO smokey a regular smoker can barely stand to be in there for too long. I would say a ventilation system is definately needed in there. I personally don’t smoke, but my husband does and we were both ready to go shortly after we arrived. I was personally feeling a little sick so I couldnt hardly eat. I got home and had to shower right away since my hair reaked of cigerette smoke. I am a regular at the surrounding restaurants and bars in Grapevine and I can handle cigerette smoke, but not this place. Sorry guys, fix it and ill be back.

I got a ride into town from the Marriott Residence Inn. They suggested this place first. I decided to try the other end of town just to check things out. Big mistake. Tap In is THE place. And a somewhat military pub as well! Military flags all over… even my coveted Army Ranger Tab Flag! John was bar tending. I mentioned how impressed I was and my first beer was on him for my service. Food was fantastic and prices right. A must for Grapevine. Will come back every time period!

Great place to linger over a drink, nosh, smoke a cigar and watch sports. They don’t push you for drink orders and prices a reasonable. Next door is a superb cigar store. Apparently the same people own the bar as well as the cigar shop. What a concept!

Surprisingly good food, especially the fish and chips. Basic beer and liquor selection caters to its clientele — no hipsters here = no craft beer or artisan cocktails. Great music venue with seating right up next to the band. Cigar friendly.

I’m sorry to say the Tap-In was very disappointing for me. Went with a friend and we managed to find a table and were surrounded with smokers, but with a name like«Tap In», I was expecting a half decent beer list. The high top tables to the left side were crammed together so it’d be hard to get to the back side without bumping someone or having them move. I ordered a black & tan and it was definitely not poured properly, I couldn’t see any separation and it just looked like Guinness all the way through. My friend and I both left disappointed and rather smelly. Sorry, Tap-In, you’re low on my list of «goto» places in Grapevine.

I wanted to like this place… Mainly because it’s in such an ideal part of town. Originally came to the area to have a drink and app at Su Vino but they were stuffed to the gills. This place was next door and their door was open — seemed inviting. You’re hit in the face with an invisible sheet of smoke upon entering. Don’t get me wrong… I enjoy a good cigar as much as the next gal… But the next gal is sitting in a cigar bar and I happen to be at a restaurant. Told the waitress I wanted a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and she assured me that their house wine was«sooo good». Now I don’t want to think this young lady intentionally lied to me so I’ll go on believing she doesn’t know what good Cab tastes like. If this wine was a human it would be a paraplegic… Legs were nonexistent. Small menu wasn’t anything to write home about… Or even Unilocal about for that matter. Ended up ordering the spinach artichoke dip and chips. The appetizer tasted like it had been frozen at one point. Looked as if it was thawed, heated and sprinkled with a spice-less something with a red hue. Two disappointed thumbs down.

I went to Tap-In on a sunday evening. Upon walking in the smoke was so thick i could barely see where i was going. I am not a smoker so i hated it. I ordered a draft beer which was cold and the service was good but i did not stay long because of the smoke.

(cough) On the Unilocal review site it asks: «Smoking»? And the response: «Yes» That being said, we were walk-ins and didn’t get to read this in advance. People smoke in here. We parked our butts far to the side and away from the smoke of numerous patrons and with the door and windows open and a/c blasting, we were fairly clean in our little pocket, our«circle of cheese». Non-smoking legislation has yet to take effect here in many parts.(But it will. It’s one of those inevitable things… like death, taxes and the zombie invasion, sorry Texas) We ordered up a couple pints of Guinness on-tap(of course) and the fish ‘n chips, the«best in town». It’s a small town but we were happy with the fried cod, home-made chips and cole slaw. Service was fine and the vibe comfortable. (cough) But the smoking has to go. (Go Airborne!)
