Really good pizza. Great egg rolls. Friendly staff that remembers you when you come back. A little bit expensive but worth it.

Well I must say Alta pizza is one of the best places in this area for the price for the polite employees for the cleanliness you can’t beat it. Not forgetting the food always fresh and prepared by employees that wash there hands, unlike other joints like lamp post(I think that’s what’s wrong) JOINTS! they take your money and roll your pizza dough on the same counter !! Without washing there hands after they take your money and scratch there butt !! Funny huh? Yea nothing like food poisoning to make it a great place. Alta is always clean and top notch ! I have been around the world more than once and can eat anywhere I please ! I like Alta pizza for cold beer, good food, polite owners and employees, clean rest rooms as well as the rest of the place ! It’s big screen TV, games and did I mention CLEANRESTROOMS !! This is a great place to bring family and friends !! So I SAY Thank you Alta Sierra pizza for all the great food and good times!

Ordered a combo take-n-bake, usually an excellent choice. Was disappointed, mostly dough(sections were nearly ¾″ thick) and the varied ingredients were minimul. Very disappointed.

This is the best and freshest pizza in Grass Valley. The food is good quality and you have never had egg rolls like these. We drive from Chicago Park just to eat here. Very friendly staff. Everything is homemade and delicious. #1pizza.

The pizza was delicious and the salad bar was actually very fresh. The food would probably have gotten 5 stars, but everything was really pricey so I took one away. But there are not many options in the area, so I guess they feel that they can charge more.

They would get more stars from me if they would fix up the place a little. The prices are high for what it is, fast food. Pizza is just OK. Homeade eggrolls are good(fast food style) The high prices and awful wall colors, I just cant shake. For what I paid I could have gone to a much nicer, and healthier place. Kicking myself!

We walked in here on a Saturday night and we were the only people in the place. I said uh oh! Is the food here that bad??? We said what the hell, lets try it anyway! Im glad we did. The pizza was great. The crust was great and all the topping were fresh and tasty. I cant believe the pizza was that good and know one else was in the place. I hope other people find out about this place so it don’t close! I will be returning soon!

My husband and I tried this place on a Friday night for pizza… we were very pleasantly surprised by how delicious the pizza and salad bar were — we got there a little late — around 8pm; the salad bar was still stocked full of fresh, icy chilled lettuce and delicious veggies. It was, by far, the freshest salad I have ever eaten at a restaurant in a really long time. The pizza? Outstanding! You can tell it was made fresh to order with super fresh ingredients! It was not overly greasy at all, like some pizza places make it. The dining area was so incredibly clean and neat. The staff was ultra friendly and appeared to go to lengthy measures to make sure things remained sanitary, clean, and taken care of. We will be back for more. The rest of their menu looked amazing, can’t wait to try more. Above and beyond our expectations for a small restaurant down the road from our neighborhood!

For the price I would expect a much better tasting pizza. The sauce is lack-luster at best, crust flat. I really miss our old hometown Skipolini’s. We just moved up to Grass Valley so we are looking for«the right place to go». While it is conveniently located near our home, I’ll make the trip to Lamppost instead. My husband ordered a burger and fries there and it was almost $ 11??? Really? Ridiculous. We will not be going back.

I absolutely love this place! I personally get the Roast Beef Melt, I love living right up the street and I always make a visit to pick one up on my days off. Many nights the family and I will order a pizza. Every sandwich/pizza we have ordered was spectacular. They keep the place clean and I always see a worker cleaning/sweeping when I walk in. The family that owns it are delightful, always so friendly. I can’t think of one thing bad to say!

AS Pizza is a wonderful family place, yummy food for all tastes, great salad bar, fair prices, wonderfully family run. I hope they eventually try some new stuff, like flatbread pizza, paninis. Very friendly and accessible.

The owners-operators of the restaurant are great. Wi and her family are some of the most gracious people I have met since moving to Grass Valley. I’ve had a number of their pizza’s and found all to be good. Every order I have placed has been ready in the time promised(usually 15 minutes). This is my «go-to» place for a quick dinner when the urge to cook is MIA. Give them a try.

This is the only pizza place in Grass Valley that I will eat at. I have been to all the pizza places up here and this is the only one that is NOT greasy. The pizza has great flavor and the burgers are yummy too. Prices are high BUT its locally owned and they need to make money to support their family. Roundtable is probubly a little more expensive believe it or not. The family that owns this place is soo friendly. They are good with kids and they have some good arcade games. Good selection of beer on tap too.

This is the best pizza i’ve had in Grass Valley area. Wonderful selection of pizza special or you can order one with your own picks. We had a small classic veggi + we added Canadian bacon. This and a salad bar with a beer all for $ 20.00. It fed two of us with 3 slices left over. Price was reasonable, place is clean and the pizza was full of fresh veggies. Salad bar is also very good.

Really not my favorite. Tried to take my mom there with my kids. Can you believe, my 5 year old son saw the«buffet» and wanted to leave to go and get«good food.» I think that says it all.

The food here was ok ok. Nothing spectacular or epicfail(like Zelda’s), just ok. I had the burger and my brother had the chicken strips. The burger was ok, a bit too well done and the bread kept sliding around when I bit down, so its very messy. The chicken strips were good, but didn’t seem very large portion. The beer battered onion rings were ok. They tasted like something from costco or tyson brand. Also I should mention the burger patties tasted like pre-formed patties from a store… But overall it wasn’t bad. It was more like backyard BBQ type of food rather than many things made from scratch. Charging extra for little baby cups of dip sauce is rather irritating, especially when the amount of sauce is sparsely given in the first place. I just want to dip my crap to make it go from ok too great, but I can’t because now i got to dip in my pocket for change to buy more. For this place being very very OK, I’d like to give them 3 stars, But it feels more like a 2 instead. =/

Priced competitively with the likes of Domino’s and Caesar’s; unfortunately, overall quality of their pies is also similar. They serve Little League Baseball type pizza food if you know what I mean. Expect a medium thick crust and lots of flavorless so-called mozzarella cheese with the consistency of soft plastic, and the usual toppings such as flimsy slices of bland pepperoni or salami, green tomatoes, tiny pieces of crummy mushroom, etc. Suggestion: reconsider the quality of your ingredients(people will pay .45 cents more for better food). Or offer an upgrade option for a dollar more and see if it sells. If it does, make it the standard. Though the people there may not use quality products, prices are very cheap and they are very friendly, smiling and keeping the place cleaner than most commercial pizza chains. It’s the only pizza place in Alta Sierra. .. if you go, I recommend their hot sandwiches instead of their pizza. 1 star for the pizza and 3 stars for the sandwiches 4 stars for service and friendliness 4 stars for 80’s style pizza parlor ambiance and cleanliness 2.25 Stars
